Hi,
I would like to take a small gift to my appt, but have been at a loss for ideas.
They have a history of lyme and co. also, and try to follow a good diet.
Anyone have some ideas?
Thanks!

How about a CD? Can you find out what kind of music they like?

- Honestly, even passing on a used CD or book that you enjoyed at one time but maybe don't listen to much anymore might be a welcome gift.
It's all about sharing and showing appreciation. Buying something new is not necessary. I often pass along old treasures. Sure, it's due to funds but, still, there is value to it.
I think we could do much more with passing along old treasures instead of always buying something brand new. Especially with books and music. Call it what it is and say you are sharing something that brought you joy or beauty and your are "Passing it on" or "Gifting it forward" - It can still have a nice bow or attractive presentation. It really is the thought and the intent that counts.
If you do buy a CD, (following TuTu's lead) call and ask their office manager what kind of music they might like or be sure to get from a place near their work so that an exchange would be easy.
A colorful scarf is also a welcome gift for men or for women. I don't think it's possible to have too many scarves during these cold months. If money is tight and you sew, a scarf is easy to make and far less expensive that way. Wash and dry the fabric before cutting or sewing the hem, though. -

When is your appointment? Is it something you would have time to order online...
Or maybe bake a treat? I made an awesome pie for T-day that was gluten free, sugar free and dairy free -- and Deeeee-licious.

Thank you Lymetoo, Keebler, momlyme and Carol in PA for your suggestions.
There are some good ideas there.
My appt is Tuesday, so I need to figure this out fast.
He runs his office with just him and his wife who is the nurse.
It's like the way medicine used to be many years ago, when the Dr spends as much time with you as it takes.

If you know what the doctor's special interests are, outside of work, maybe that will give you a clue. Or maybe something the office can enjoy too, like a basket of fruit. Even lyme patients will eat a piece of fruit now and then. If you can't figure this out before the appt., you can always mail it before Christmas.
Don't know what you consider a small gift.
I have sent a basket of pears from Harry and David, and other people have sent me gifts from them that were several different items.
Here is their website. They also have a number of stores.

Last time I brought my LLMD a pot of real good locally made honey, which was produced in a pure, old fashioned way. I think he liked it.

Fudge, cookies, any holiday treat is good, and easy on the pocket book.

You are so thoughtful to want to include your llmd on your Christmas list. Whatever you decide to do, I'm sure he will be grateful.
Take care and God bless.
