It's going to be three years of hell come June. I have been through it all antibiotics, herbs, vitamins, great llmd, pics lines, ports, detox, withdrawl from opiates.
I really never have been in remission. I have seen of the the top docs for lyme (and I thank him greatly to be able to get me to this point), nutritionists, llmd alterative medicine uses herbs, detox rememdies, accupunture, etc.
I don't drink, I eat a very clean diet, I try to exercise when I can.
I am doing all the right things and I am still sick. I am in bed now clutching my stomach because of so much pain.
I'm done with all the medicines, I think I need a break, sometimes I think all the meds are what are keeping me sick.
I am the mother of two great kids who will only remember their mom sick=I can't have this I feel so guilty about not doing things with them. My husband is great but you know, with lyme marriages suffer.
Sorry about the whining, I'm just done.
Anyone think I should take a break?
Thanks for listening

Its so hard with the kids. I feel like it takes so much energy to fake that you have energy and are feeling well. I have been suffering for three years too, but have just discovered the possibility that my lyme is what is causing all of my symptoms. In the meantime I have been to many many doctors as well, but I just want to send you a bit of support. I am sorry that you are so down. I hope that taking a break helps
I feel like I have tried "everything" to get a diagnosis. Diet, exercise, etc etc. You tend to want to beat yourself up. It is not your fault.
Hang in there. Hope you feel better soon. Don't lose hope

PLEASE check into treating for parasites which is a much overlooked co-infection. Most docs(with the exception of Dr.K.) don't have a clue about this.
After 4 yrs of abx, IVIG etc, antiparasitic herbs and salt/c were the only protocols that helped me turn the corner. I expelled HUGE amounts of parasites as pictured in
Filarial worms were found in the ticks Burgdorfer dissected and it is being overlooked.
Please do a search on here under parasites for more info and google parasite symptoms. Don't ignore this.
P. S. If you have candida, treating the parasites will help get rid of it.

Treating for parasites for 30 days at atime is never enough. The parasites are laying eggs and larva and it takes a while to get rid of them.
Parastroy recommends 6 mos with 1 mos break. If you become symptomatic again you have to keep treating.

You are allowed to whine-that's what we are here for! I have been whining too-for almost 4 years and many doctors and treatments.
If you are having stomach issues than maybe you should try and take a break from everything and see if you feel any better.
Maybe Gael has an idea with the parasites...
This disease just plain sucks and I can so relate to you with wanting to quit. I have 2 kids too and I keep reminding myself that I have to keep going because of them.
Unfortunately I really don't have any great advice for your treatment but I just wanted to tell you that your post tugged on my heartstrings...
Hope you feel even just a litle better soon.
