I don't know about you, but I am really enjoying seeing the Irises in bloom around here.

One of these days I will figure out how to post pics I take myself.

I hear DR K's seminar went well. If you run across notes please post. Heard from a few people on FB that they are working on notes now.

Copied and pasted Akinwolf's post for today

I'm no longer able to walk Rocky cuz of neighbor problems so I just cruise around the yard with him.

I'm trying not to think about it cuz I get down.

Today I picked up limbs, rocks, moved my smoker and raked some leaves.

Doing laundry and it's late!

Hey guys, I got a part-time job for 3 months and then I get evaluated to see if another 3 months is in order.

Working for State Farm again in the evenings about 4 1/2 hours a day and some Saturdays.

I'm nervous and hoping my health is good enough to deal with it.

Was glad to read everyone's posts, it sure cheered me up!

Couldn't move much or think much the first few hours this am. Was able to get dressed and get Rosie out to toilet via the PC.

Then, took a couple of excedr which seemed to help with the gravity issue and pain with moving the body issue.

DRove to dog park. On feet longer than norm there...est 10 min.

One of the guys there helped manually pull my driver's side window up. Since it looked like rain and was very cold on the drive over this was a very good thing.

Got gas in car. Headed towards favorite gas station but didnt' think brain and body could handle the drive.

Headed home and then had the thought of going to a gas station closer to home. Love it when the brain is working well enough to problem solve.

Put in two loads of laundry.

Next is the rubber duckie races....now where did I put my rubber duckies??

Smiling. [Smile]

Ran across this web site today from Kim Komodo's email.

http://mymilemarker.com/

A way to keep track of your gas mileage. It is suggested that you have a running log in order to get an accurate picture.

I haven't been able to see what it is all about yet so don't know if there is a fee or not.

I did not go to exercise today. Lazy .. but also wanted to do some paperwork. And UPS was supposed to deliver something they tried to deliver on Friday. NO SHOW. GRRR.

**editing to add ... duh .. the other reason I did not go to exercise today was that I am in PAIN. It is better this evening, but I tried to help my husband lift an electronic piano on Friday. Big mistake. Everything in my body hurts...esp neck and lower back.

I've been taking Aleve twice a day and it is getting better.

penguin.. you need to call them!! I'm headed off now to check the UPS tracker. Hope you feel better soon!

Tutu - I am STILL waiting for my Fed Ex package to deliver my Theralacs!! Said it shipped on 5/5- hmmm, what is so fed ex about it, 5 days later?

Kudos on your part-time job, Aklnwlf! I hope that you are able to do the 4.5 hour shift. The evening hours is what would be a challenge for me. I would have to rest up and then put the ole coffee to me so I could function that time of day.

Also, Aklnwlf, I am really sorry about your neighbor problem. It is really sad that something can't be done. Be safe, friend.

KAM, love the irises. Mine are up but not blooming yet. Probably another couple of weeks.

I have been doing a lot of yard work. Still finding muscles I did not know I had.

Lymetoo, I am sorry about your pain. I do that too. Help lift something thinking I can handle it and then pay for it for days! Do you have some flexeril in the house? I take half a tab at night so I don't tighten up in my sleep, when I have pulled a muscle. Anyway, hope that it resolves quickly!

Kayak, I am so happy to read that you are having good rides! And things with Etta are going OK. It sounds like you are in a good place right now. Kudos!

Penquingirl, I agree with Lymetoo. Give FedEx a call and see where your package is. They have delivered packages to my neighbor twice now.

Have a good day, every one!

Good to hear from you all.

Long Sleeve T shirt is on backwards this am. Too weak to change it right now.

Able to drive Rosie to dog park. Short stay. Too weak to be on my feet or slouch in a chair or drive far for that matter.

But, good to be out of the house for a short time this am.

i think i'm gonna be lazy. etta is at the vet for the spay-it was hard to get up and out early to get her there and she is just sitting in a crate waiting and wondering where brakfast is. they are doing 8 today...i love the vet but hate the office.

i just decided to cancel my church group today. there are 8 in it now...and i knew only 4 were coming but this morning i found out it was only one other but me. its a 1/2 hr drive for me(if i don't get lost)-and a lot of gas so i decided to cancel. i have to go back to church tonight for something else so i offered to go early and meet with the other person if she really wanted to. i thought it was silly to drive that much.

i have two ppl who will babysit etta in her crate. i don't think she'll want to move around much. not sure tho. kinda hate to leave her but i have so few committments and then the vet said this was the best day for her.

i seem to have trouble just coordinating my life these days.

i did have a good ride yesterday and another kid at the barn (well-young adult) asked me to give them lessons.

i told them i can't take $ but i will help them and maybe they can help me when i need something heavy moved or something.

it makes me feel good when i train the horse and he improves or when i work with a kid and their horse improves. its hard to realize each day there are more and more things you can't do well...so i like to focus on these little things i can still do.

i'll be a lot happier when i know etta has woken up tho.

I got my Theralac, woo hoo. Finally - I was getting to a few days worth left so I was getting nervous..

So I walked about 1 mile today, pretty briskly too because it is chilly here today and I thought it was going to rain.

I also vacuumed the floors and did some bathroom cleaning this morning.

Pretty tired now but still doing ok!

Tutu - hope your neck and lower back is better today!

Kam - love the flowers too - glad you were able to get out today even for a short bit.

Kayak - sounds so nice to be able to work with horses - I'm glad you can do something that makes you happy!

Writing first then hoping to be able to read what you all have been up to.

Able to get Rosie across the street to toilet this am via the power chair and robe. That wakes one up. Cold out.

Able to empty the top rack of the dishwasher.

Take a sit down shower. (STill appreciate the sit down shower as I am able to clean up more often now)

Resting now...then will get up and try to do some more moving of the body.

I was able to check on the clothes I got out of the dryer 3 days ago. They are still wet. So hoping to be able to put them back in the dryer this am.

health has not been up to it up to now.

Fading fast so I will read what you all have been doing later gator.

Put two loads of laundry in. Thought I was doing well until I got to the laundry room.

Brain really got confused at what I was doing and what i just did.

got the job done but after I get the laundry in the dryer and out....looks like it will be quality time with the recliner

I would really like to get out of the house. I could just go for a short cruise in the PC..that would help

kgg .. I took flexeril (1/2 pill) two nights in a row. Need it but it dries me out SO BADLY due to my Sjogren's. I decided to take Motrin today instead of the Aleve. MISTAKE. Hope this goes away soon.

I also scratched my cornea last night. Have NO IDEA how that happened. Had to drive 40 miles to eye dr. I'm wearing glasses that are 5 yrs old. Thankfully, I can see distance OK.

kam... hope you get stronger SOON!

penguin.. I'm still waiting for them to possibly recover the packages they misdelivered on Monday. That's $150 worth of stuff!!!! [cussing]

I got my Theralac today too!! I take it every other day in addition to my VSL.

I'm exhausted....

Went into kitchen to put together some lunch. Instead cleaned up a bit more so I could have a clean counter space.

Too weak then to put lunch together so just had some greek yogurt.

Two counters down. Two sections to go and the kitchen sink and stove.

Worked 9-2 Monday, dinking around on the computer and chatting with office staff.

Stayed on couch all day Tuesday.

Today worked only long enough to clean desk, chatted with co-worker and off to spend the day with my Mom.

Took her out today for Mother's day. Didn't get to see her on Sunday so we spent the day shopping, running errands and went to lunch at Denney's.

Kam-Thank you for starting the thread and posting my last week's stuff. Made me smile about the backwards T-shirt. Hey, at least you noticed Kam and that's a good thing! [Big Grin]

Kayak-Poor, poor sweetie Etta! I hope she recovers very quickly. Give her a smooch for me and Rocky on her little nose. [kiss]

TuTu-I'm right there with you. When I cut a little grass last week my elbow hurt for 2-3 days and after my escapade in the yard Sunday I'm finally not having to rub the back of my thighs to try and loosen them up. In my case I can't figure out if it's the Lyme, post-Lyme flab or my age! [Roll Eyes]

PenguinG-I have days like that too. Do alot one day and couched the next. Go figure! [shake]

KGG-Thanks for the kudos. Hope I can handle it. Just mainly talking on the phone and filling out paperwork and some dinking around on the computer. And yes, I might have to resort to drinking coffee.

The neighbor issue is getting dealt with but slowly. Am gonna call tomorrow to see when the court date is for the pit bull incident and the other issue is being dealt with by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation DEA liason.

I hope and pray to God that this crap will end soon. It's driving me nuts and I absolutely hate that I can't walk Rocky anymore. That was our special time together and Lord knows we both need the exercise-too many treats for both-and it helped both of us deal with stress. Needless to say Rocky is developing bitey antsy issues from lack of exercise and if I didn't know better I'm acting the same way! [Eek!]

I'll let you all know how it turns out and I'm trying real hard to keep me and mine safe.

See you guys later!

[kiss]

Went to dog park this am. So weak I just looked for a chair I could slouch in and a place to put my feet up.

Saw a lady there I hadn't seen in awhile. After I left, I remembered why I find a quiet place to myself when I am there.

Did me in listening to her talk.

Resting now, then hoping to be able to do something.

TuTu...hope you are able to get some much needed rest and things settle down.

Same with ALW

I finally was able to go out to one of my favorite places to be in nature and let Rosie off leash while I recine in a camp recliner.

Learned I can't get there anymore. A mile from the place I go is blocked off. It was a beautiful place with a big open area.

I called it the Healing Ranch. It was an abandoned boys ranch. Security guard in the area said that he heard someone had purchased it and was going to refurbish it and make it their home.

I was hoping to make it a place for those to come to with lyme disease to heal. NO ticks here.

And it was on the boundary lines to the National Forest so when people were doing well enough they could go horseback riding or hiking on the trails.

Fading fast. Got to go. I'll read more of what others wrote later gator.

Put two loads of laundry in. Laundry basket is now empty Lots of clean laundry to fold and put away when able.

Also able to finish cleaning up in kitchen last night. Still need to empty dishwasher and put pot and pans away.

Able to do more than "lyme norm" yesterday. Hoping to continue that today.

I spent the afternoon digging my Japanese iris plants. Wow, do they have a root system. Now I have to divide them and then replant. That will happen tomorrow as I am off to the big city today for my MIL's appointment.

I was grateful the sun finally came out. I swear we had a week solid of gray skies. That get's old.

Have a good day, everyone!

Karen, you reminded me of how it was at times when I lived on the coast.

We would start counting the days we had been fogged in and waiting for the sun to break through.

I miss the coast, but don't miss those foggy days.

Digging in the dirt and dividing the bulbs sounds fun to me. :0

Looking forward to hearing when they have bloomed....or did they all ready?

Have a good trip to the big city.

TuTu...did you get your packages?

Wow. Very cool ALW...kind of funny too. Being able to clean house is a cool thing in the lyme world.

Able to walk in and get a starbucks expresso and cream this am. Brain was being weird. Thought it might help. But, brain is still being weird.

Drove out to the dirt road easement in the forest where Rosie runs while I drive.

It was blocked by 3 large boulders. So, drove to the other end. I was able to get on the road that way.

I understand them blocking it. It was a party area at nights and on the weekends...beer cans left over and condoms.

Drove out to what is called the EAgles nest. Thought I would see if I could sit there and pray. usually can't pray in my head since coming down with this or out loud for that matter.

Found several large boulders and a no trespassing sign at that sight.

I understand. That sight too was a party area at night with destruction to the wooden decking.

4 areas that I use to take Rosie have been blocked off recently. Areas where I could recline in my camp recliner and let her run about.

Need to find some other safe places for us to do that in nature now.

The drivers side window will not roll up or down now. So, that has really cut down the picture taking from my car window until I am doing well enough to be on my feet to take a pic.

On the way home, I enjoyed seeing three guys work out in front of a new business that opened up.

One was standing on top of a tractor tire hitting it with a mallet.

Another had a rope tired to a tractor tire and was pulling it back and forth across the parking lot.

A 3rd had some kind of weight that he was swinging over his head and in between his bent knees.

I don't know why...but that was fun to see.

If I had been up to it, I would have had them take my picture of me appearing to work out that way this am just for laughs.

Hoping to be able to walk into the grocery store, walk over to the electric cart, get in it and pick up sleeping meds this am next.

That most likely will be the end of my morning work out. [Smile]

Mission accomplished. Thought I might be able to park electric cart inside and carry two bags out but thought again and used cart to get to car.

One of the guys at the business nearby was still working out. He was running up and down the stairs and along the 2nd story, outside patio walkway.

Funny. I wanted to put him in my car and take him out to the trail in the forest....so he could have what I would think is a much better work out.

City slicker.

TGIF. HSKPR is here. She sliced the canned ham, hard boiled some eggs, swept and moppped the floors and vacuumed.

I did something but kind of confused as to what I did. Picked up a bit. Got the broom, mop and dust pan out for her and vacuum.

Folded some comforters but too weak to figure out where to put them yet. At least I got them off of the floor.

Moved power chairs into hallway so she could vacuum.

Exhausted now but she is almost done. I just need to move power chairs back into apartment then out to toilet Rosie in a bit.

Turned cooler on. It is hot, hot, hot and I am not dressed for it. Might be able to put on some shorts after I rest a bit.

I love it when that happens Tutu!

Able to get out of the house this am. Able to walk into a 7-11 type of place and get a Starbucks Double expresso and creme.

Need to figure out how to make that myself. One thing I am lacking is the creme. Tried milk but not the taste I am going for.

Drove out to Indian Ruins. Not up to walking very far so just sat on fence post near car as Rosie did her thing.

Most likely 5 min there.

Then drove to dog park. Est 5 min there.

Then home. Good to be out. Thankful for the car that helps me get out.

Goofed up and rolled down drivers side window. Now, I can't get it back up again.

thankful the weather is OK now so hope to get it back up before the monsoons hit.

Yum!!! Starbucks!!! [lick]

Well, it would figure guys.

I'm sick, sore throat and chest congestion.

And my car started acting up on the way home from Atlanta!

My transmission light is flashing.

When the hubs gets home, he's taking me to a walk in clinic and then I'll have to dink around with the car.

Might have to do the car thing tomorrow because it's kinda drippy here.

And my first day is Monday! Oh no! Well, I might have to get a doctor's note but will still have to deal with my car.

I need a hug! [Frown]

i'm really lying low trying to keep etta from ripping out her stitches. this is hard. mostly i keep her on my lap chewing on toys. i'm doing longer walks than she is supposed to but keeping her really tight on leash. she still hops on back two legs more than she should.

i don't know why...but the scale says i lost some weight...hmmm...sitting in the recliner???

i miss riding.

Hugs, ALW! Hope your cold and car gets better.

I am doing 2 loads of laundry now - had to walk down some stairs for that - tired.

Also went to Whole Paycheck to spend more $$ on food.

Making some quinoa now and waiting for it to cool so I can add in some tomatoes, cucumber, onion to make a quinoa salad for later.

Zzz don't know if I should take a nap or watch a movie..

Kam.. yea for you!! Hey.. ask a neighbor to try pushing up on the window from the outside. We had to use those grippy things you open jars with one time to get a broken window up. Hope there is enough window to work with!!

AK.. hope you can get your cold and your car fixed up very soon. Feel better!! [Smile]

kayak.. I'll bet Etta will be all ready to go by Monday .. back to her old self!

penguin .. woo hooo .. washing clothes. Grateful I don't have to do stairs for that!!

nap?? I napped all afternoon!! [Cool]

Tutu...you must have needed that nap. They say it is a good idea even for healthy people. Power nap. [Smile]

Hadn't thought of using the gripping pads to help get the window up. It is hidden in the door somewhere so this could be tricky.

I used needle nose plyers before....or I should say a guy at the dog park used the pliers to get it up.

Penguin Girl...salad, errand and laundry...looking good.

Kayak...keeping etta from pulling her stitches out sounds tricky. I go this funny picture in my mind of you taking her in a baby stroller to keep her mind off of them.

ALW [group hug]

Able to go for a drive again last night. But, holding the body up in the car was tricky.

kept the drive short. Est 30 min.

Drove out to trail head and let Rosie out for about 5 min.

One of those trail heads with a dirt road you can drive on. But, dirt road was too rough for my body to handle so left.

Explored an area of town I had not seen before. Housing area. I liked it. Missed not owning my own home again.

But, then went to another area and didn't miss owning a home at all.

Saw quail which was fun. Rosie found some bones from a carcus which thought was fun. Glad she is in the habit of dropping them before she gets in the car now.

Laying here waiting until I am strong enough to take a shower this am. I have taken Rosie out to toilet all ready via the power chair and my robe and PJ's.

Wtg for one of those mornings when I am able to be on the trail for 5 min, rest and walk back.

Walked about 15 min to CVS this morning to pick up my Bicillin refill.

Came home, opened up the bags and noticed that they had different syringes in them - not the right type - GRRR. Called the pharmacy who said that I would have to come back to show them the 3ML syringe.

Walked back to CVS again and they said they would have to order it (grr why couldn't they just do that without me there)..

Only for them to realize that this type is discontinued and have to get a 5 ML syringe instead for tomorrow.

So my first walk was ok but the second trip back my lower back started hurting like crazy with shooting pain down to my knee. Never had this happen to me before.

I wish the pharmacists could understand the for me to walk back and forth in one day is not easy. They should be a little more understanding!!

Penguin Girl...good you had the walks...bad that the second one was not a good one.

it is tricky with this condition. Sometimes I know my body and brain enough to speak up and say I can't do that so would it be possible to do such and such instead.

Other times, I think normal and try and do something and then can't and pay for it like you did.

Ugh
