Living with lyme is a balancing act. [Smile]

This thread is to support each other as we try to balance moving our bodies without over doing it and having to stay down for several days.

10 min loop in forest...no resting half way this time. 1st time in a long time.

The wind was blowing in the top of the trees. I really like when the wind is blowing in the forest.

But, it was not blowing at the level I was...I need to climb a tree I guess. [Smile]

enjoyed the view on the way out. It always lifts my spirits.

Our church (small one) raised more than $2,000 for Joplin! Can't wait to hear the final total!! Everyone was very generous!

I did 40 laps today and 7 min on the machine. Had a really busy day!

It's so hot here that I have to imagine it wasn't hot in NJ, kayak??

Thinking this morning of when I use to go Sunday Sailing out of Newport Beach on a yacht.

Windsurfing.

Sailing a catamorand (sp?)

I was usually just along as a passenger but I did want to learn how to sail my own boat.

I had one picked out. It was called Shear Waters out of Avila Beach. I was in love when I saw it.

Backpacking in all 3 mtn ranges.

Lots of day hikes to water falls and natural hot springs.

Backpacking in the Grand Canyon.

Skiing ....both snow and water skiing.

Brain is fading fast now so I will quit.

I rode my bike 5.5 miles to work. Hills, strong headwind part of the way and heat.

Wasn't easy.

I'm tired now but it is a good tired.

Riding home tonight with lots of uphill and wind to contend with not to mention heat.

This had better bust my immune system is all I can say.

Or is it that which does not kill me makes me stronger? LOL [Smile]

Big step up from last two years when I didn't feel like walking across my back yard.

Starting to believe that there is life after LYME!

Did the 10 min loop this am too. 1st time in a long time. Thinking it is because I am on the biaxin and amoxy.

But, know I just have a few of the biaxin left. Not sure how much amoxy I have left.

Glad you got the rides in Kayak. Fun. Fun is good.

Meno...how are you doing today?? Wore me out just reading what you were able to do.

TuTu...trying to think of which thing I would want to do now from my past memories.

I think I could handle the drive on the dirt road to the lake at Lassen National Forest.

I just laid there on a blanket and then would jump in the water and go for a swim and watch the dragon flies.

Had the place to myself. Nice. That I might be able to do.

There are lakes on the Rim near here. Don't have what it takes to drive to them yet.

Walked outside for a good 15 min yesterday and a flight of stairs - slowly but surely made my way up.

Had some gluten free dinner at Legal Seafoods.

Going to LL neuro today - timing is good because brain feels so swollen today!

Kam - yes let's go skiing and sailing - it would be fun.

Nemo - so glad you have made a lot of progress from last few years!

kayak - good for you prioritizing the phsyical stuff - yes sitting online is not really doing us much good, huh

Have a great day everyone - it is going to be hot, hot, hot! maybe we can sweat out the toxins without paying for a sauna then..

Tried to pick a few things off of the floor so hskpr could vacuum. Heart is pounding now and I am dehydrated and out of breath.

I did copy and paste Tutu's post from last week. Mystery solved?

Me 40 laps HA HA HA HA Where are those funny meds. I want to do 40 laps. :0

PG Hope the IV helps you. 10 min in the heat. Yuck.

While channel surfing saw part of Dr. Oz's show. He was talking about how to get energy over the age of 50.

1. Eat nutritionally
2. Hydrate
3. Exercise

Don, I hadn't thought of trimming trees in a long time. Glad you were able to do that. Something that really shows results when done.

Kayak..glad the benedryl worked. Ugh about the house in NH

A lady that just moved into the apartments here said she sold all of her stuff and just took what would fit in the car.

Then, she purchased what she needed when she got here. Works if you are ready to let go of some things.

wouldnt' work for me. I have the two power chairs to begin with.

I miss hearing the sound of a woodpecker while in the forest.

I know others that go further down the trail hear them.

Able to do the 10 min loop this am. I like that time of the day. The air is damp and fresh.

I think a dog was trying to get help. There were several cars parked at the trail head.

The dog had a wet belly so that tells me he came from further down the trail than I can go.

I know there is water on down the trail as many dogs come back with wet bellies.

Hoping that the others that were on the trail this am will be able to help the person if that is the case.

Haven't seen this dog on the trail before.

Could be the dog just got back to the car before its owner.

Also able to walk into lab and finally get lab work done this am for myasthenia gravis.

We made it through another week. [Smile]

Did the 10 min loop this am. Lots of cars at the trailhead but had the loop to myself thankfully.

I was not up to dealing with any one else on the trail healthwise or attitude wise.

Saw the dog that was at the trailhead barking by himself in the front yard at a person's home on down the road.

Did not have want it took to follow through on it.

While in the forest, I thought if I had the health to sit a spell, I too might hear a wood pecker.

One of these days I will have what it takes to unload the lounge chair and see if I can handle laying out in the forest for a spell.

I think I would need something electronic to take my mind off of the lyme while I laid there.

Can't read [Frown] Can't color. But, can click on the mouse or type away while laying down.

I hope that woodpecker was not storing acorns in your walls either. [Smile]

Sorted laundry and took one load down the hall. Laundry room busy. Since brain and body usually shut down at 9 and it is almost 9 now...guessing I will need to try again after 4 today when brain and body seem to go back on line for some reason.

Yep. I do a little something and then lay here flat on my back next to the computer to try and recharge.

Just laying here without having the computer to take my mind off of lyme is not do able.

You are getting things done a bit at a time. This is good.

Able to do the 10 min walk in the forest tonight. Rosie got side tracked and I did not see her for two minutes.

When she appeared she was licking her lips and smelled like horse poop.

AT least I hope it was horse poop...human poop is worse. Hopefully, she will not wake me up in the middle of the night because she has the runs and needs to get out.

I had not been in the forest at that time of the day in a long time. The sun had all ready gone behind the hill.

But, it was still hot and muggy out.
