I see we are off like a herd of turtles this week.
Hope your attitude is better than mine.
It did help to get out to my most frequent trailhead.
Able to do the 10 min loop...one of those walking like a drunkin sailor times on my feet.
All I had was that starbucks frap you can get in the bottle and a bad attitude towards others on my trail...just because they want to talk and that was not possible
Head home, then saw some wildflowers so got out of car 3 times to take pics along side the road.
There were more but I needed what umph I had to drive the 3 miles back home.
Today is the first day of summer. It's official.
Hot here. 80 degrees on the patio at 8 am. Temp read 100 on the patio yesterday afternoon.

Feel guilty I'm posting at work on company time.
Sorry I haven't posted but my dialup is soooooo slow at home.
Also am going to mention to the boss to let me have 2 days off a week.
Having some work schedule change so will try to post more often.
Not used to working 4-8:30 and 10-2:30 on Sat.
Have been walking Rocky around the yard. We went 6 laps around the cleared area of our 4 acres, about 25 minutes, Rocky stopping often to do his business and eat some grass.
Am really tired today. Fighting to stay awake at work. 40 more minutes to go.
Miss you all alot and will just have to stay after work and post from here.

Hang in there, kam and AK!!!! You can do it!!!
I missed exercise yesterday because I went to the "city" to hear my husband play in a jazz band. He did a really nice job on his solo! Playing with the "big boys."
Cleaned off my patio today and washed clothes.

Tutu...wondered if you got your laps, etc done.
Good to hear you got to hear your husband play with the big boys.
You are an inspiration with being cleaning off the patio and cleaning clothes.
Looks like I need to sweep patio more often or something.
I know have dirty tire tracks on the carpet from going in and out with the power chair.
I put a mat down indoors but can't put one down outdoors...screen door catches on it and can't close and open screen door.
Wow ALW....work is a good thing. yes?
Rosie has been stopping to eat her greens when we are out too.
I was able to drive in the car on the dirt road in the forest last night while Rosie trotted in front of me.

I washed some dishes with my left arm yesterday. Right arm still in too much pain from PICC line procedure.
Other than that not much action for me. I am glad I can finally use the mouse and type.
Going to CVS this afternoon though to pick up some Rifampin and Actigal. Hopefully I can do some more walking this weekend.

PG...I had several pic lines put in. One caused a lot of pain.
The others...no pain at all.
Had them take the one out and went else where to get a new pic line put in.
They suggested I go else where as there really was no one in the area that knew how to do pics.
It was the first one she had done and was just trying to save me a trip out of the area.
She refused to accept I was in a lot of pain but finally took it out.
next pic line was done by a lady who did several a day. it was done in a hospital setting with pictures done so she could see that she got it right.

Kam - sorry to hear you have had so many. I did get mine placed in radiology so I know that it has to be in the right place! Took forever to find a big enough vein though. Hope you can clean at your own pace today!
Tutu - thanks! we do take our arms for granted - how much we use them to do things in life! It is 80% better pain wise.
Who is "Ellen"
Raining AGAIN today! Hopefully it will clear up by the weekend - my parents will be visiting me and would like to walk around the city etc!

hi guys-i remembered how to log in! didn't think would.
i am in nh trying to sell my house.
my brother has been living in it. i found him a room. he is very sick and not getting tx. it would be dangerous for him to be in that house another winter here.
i am doing a lot of sorting and moving of stuff...i hire ppl and tell them what to do but it still exhausts me
etta is fine...but she doesn't get enough exercise and then wants to play all night and i NEED to sleep!
gotta go-cuz i am using library computer.
will check in when i can but there are about a hundred steps to get up here so it won't be very often unless i get my laptop fixed. not time to read what you guys wrote. hope all are well.

kayak...good to hear from you. Take care of you and Etta..sounds like you have a good plan...but even with help it is exhausting.
I think we have something there....TuTu visits with Ellen 3 times a week.
Or ED....
Miss hearing from karen.....if you are reading this think of you often and keep planning on contacting you but it doesn't take much for me to get overwhelmed each day...so continuing with doing what I can when I can

Hi Hi!
Me and Rocky walked around the property about 25 minutes.
Kam-working is a good thing but, it wears me out. I haven't worked in about 10 years and even part-time is hard for me to handle. Glad to hear that Rosie is eating her 'greens' too. I was kinda worried about Rocky eating so much grass. Next thing you know he'll start mooing!
TuTu-I'm an Ellen fan too. I watched part of her show today but am having trouble remembering if it was the one with Kelsey Grammer's wife. My brain is on overload at the moment.
Pengy-I remember those picc-line days. Hang in there.
Kayak-Hope your brother is ok. I dread moving. I don't remember a whole lot the last time I moved. I had to hire some folks to help and even then I did too much of the work. I must have been out of my mind.....but had to get 'er done'!
Hey, I should be able to post more. Got Sundays and Mondays off now! Yipee!

ALW..getting out for a 25 min outing sounds good with Rocky.
Able to make a cup of expresso this am then back to bed. Off like a herd of turtles. But, first time in a long time I was able to move about in power chair to make a cup of coffee...guess that is good.
Back to bed as it is not good to try and move about with the body like a wet noodle and the brain mush too.
Maybe the coffee will kick in and I will be able to take a shower and get dressed.
Maybe I need to rest and then make another cup??

Clarification... I'm not a huge Ellen fan. I watch it for about 30min.. sometimes. It's in between two local news programs.
She was "working out" on a machine similar to what I use at c. rehab. She and her guest were each on a machine during the interview! Pretty funny.
I don't know if she did it the entire hour or not.
So .. I did 40 laps and 12 min on the magic machine, plus some leg exercises.
How are you doing now, kam??

OK We will not name the machine after her. Glad you did your 40 laps and 12 min on the magic machine plus some leg exercises. This is good.
Able to move about well enough to make some sun tea just now and cruise in the upright power chair around the block to toilet Rosie.
