I spoke with my insurance this morning, and they told me that they have approved my daughter for six months of IV abx.
To say the least, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. I am still pinching myself. Before this morning, I was so stressed out that I didn't know what to do with myself. Thank you GOD!!!

Wow, that is fantastic! Hope this helps your daughter significantly. I am waiting to hear from my insurance now for 3 months of IV. I doubt they will ok it as I did not test positive for lyme. Did your daughter have a positive test?

Yes, Cattail, she was Igenex positive. We have never done any other testing. She was treated for bart on a clinical diagnosis and we saw major improvements in her brain fog.

Congrats! Did your doctor's office request pre-approval or was it something you did on your own?

The infusion company that we are using sent in all the paperwork for us, but I called every week to check on the progress.
My husband works for a great company that is very good to it's employees. They use a big name insurance company, but they are basically a self pay company.

Well, I hope this is for real. Make sure those bills go in promptly and follow up quickly to make sure they are paid.

Yes, Lou, I hope it's for real too. They are supposed to be sending me a letter of approval next week.
