Map 1131 and I are once again attempting to put together a support group in our area.
We would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in meeting monthly or bi monthly.
Our group would likely meet in either August or September for the first time.
Please feel free to PM either one of us if you are interested.

The meeting place will be on Hurstborne Lane. Just a few blocks off Interstate 64. Easy on and off access for anyone traveling from outside or inside the city of Louisville.
I so hope the word has reached enough in this area that we can be of help for others. TBTG!!!

UP. All you Southern Indiana folks that are ill? There has been a ton of SI folks for 6 mths?
Louisville and KY folks, I hope and pray you will committ to getting out and meeting people in the same boat as you.
It feels good to put faces with people who know your story, your hopes and the bad guys that have attacked you.
Please private message Rene or myself. You also can just post here any questions you may have. Rene and I want to do this.
The last time we did it was only 2 people besides us. I'm sure the MS support group started out with small group too. Now they have ads on radio here about joining support groups.
Lyme & co people don't need to hide any longer. The news media is talking finally and more and more truth is coming to light. TBTG!

Hi there - I was recently diagnosed with Lyme Disease and live in central Kentucky. What can I expect from this disease? I've been sick for about a month or two.
Sorry, but one thing that cannot be done is predict how this disease will affect you. Lyme is very individualized. I would encourage you to read all you can about it. See a LLMD (lyme literate medical Dr) and hang in there. The best advice I ever got about this illness was " The turtle wins this race"
We will post on this board when our lyme support group meetings will be. We would love to have you come.

Thanks for the advise Rene. I do know one thing, I've never been so sick in all my life. The doctors kept telling me it was a viral infection but after 18 solid days of a high fever, swollen legs and feet (to the point of not being able to fit into shoes), there was more wrong than just a viral infection.
Two to three months later, I'm still waiting for some form of energy to return. I would be thrilled to be able to clean my house and/or do my yard work; much less, get out and do something fun.
There are a couple of us here in Louisville who are unfortunately "old timers" with lyme disease. We will be glad to talk with you by e mail or phone if you would like. This disease is very scary in the beginning.
You can also private message me. You do that by clicking on the envelope at the top of your post.
Good luck.

When you get all the information, let's add it to our support group info here on Lymenet.

Where are all the Louisville, KY and Southern IN folks that were asking for help back in May & June?
Anybody know?????????? Where's PAMI? herbo? Many others in this area?????
The support group info for this state, KY has been old out dated info for 10+ years. As far as myself and Rene know.....there is NOT any support group in KY or Southern IN.
If anyone knows anything different about support groups, please let myself or Rene know the info by private messaging us or posting here.
Maybe we can get Maddog to Louisville this time? He could bark up a storm. Not literally, we've had enough storms.

You can do a search here in the directory for those in your area. Just type in the state.
