I have experienced herxing as soon as a few hours after beginning antibiotics. I have also experienced it after several weeks. My LLMD said she finds many people herx at about 3 weeks, but I feel it right away.

For me it tends to start on day 3-4 or week 3-4 after starting a new med.

Hi Gang Lymetoo I have went back on biaxin and feel like a pile of buffalo doodoo.
My arthritis got so bad again and that waking up feeling like I had the flu crossed with a hangover and didnt have either.
So here i am again fighting lyme.
Strange herx pains poping up here and there then going away. And more feeling like buffalo doodoo. Head ach's, bone pain,and feeling like the walking dead.
HERXES again!

For me, with oral abx it is always on day 3. With Bicillin injections I herx the next day.
