Hey, a good idea. Hope you get some press. Be sure to get permits if necessary so they don't boot you out.

I sure wish I could go with ya'll Paul but I'll be there in spirit [Smile] I hope this sends a strong message to ISDA and the media.

Wishing you well,

Paul, have you ever thought to ask the Occupy Boston leaders to see if they'll be able to ask some of their people to help with the Oct 22nd IDSA protest? They have thousands of people there (and more are joining them by the day), and I'm sure some of them would LOVE to take a "break" for a few hours to help protest against the corrupt medical system. You might even be able to get one of the large unions to join you, like a nurse's union if they are there.

I don't know enough details to know if this is a bad idea, but I just thought it was at least worth mentioning. Good luck at the event, and thanks for organizing it.

Thanks for the idea James

The permit has a persons cap on it though.

I am a little concerned if we did this it would be too large and also if the message would still be right.

Im going to take a look at that twitter page maybe I could send something

Paul

Thanks for responding, Paul! I was suspecting that there were problems in my idea... but I just wanted to "brainstorm" a little. [Smile]

Thanks again for supporting all of us! Best wishes.

James:

While I agree the OWS people have a right to protest (IMO they should go after Congress and the FED, not the brokers on WS) but they are unruly.

I was in the City last week, they block people from crossing streets (locking arms) and don't clean up after themselves.

I agree with you, Tim.

Most importantly, I think Paul has an excellent point about keeping a strict and focused message. It sounds like he has an intelligent group of people who know exactly what they're fighting for, and they know all of the details of the controversy. I agree that these are important points.

Hope you're going to chant!

Hey hey, ho ho, Lyme disease has got to go!

Hey hey, ho ho, IDSA guidelines have got to go!

What do we want? Better Lyme guidelines!
When do we want them? Now!

And, in the spirit of the Occupy movement:

Lyme patients, say today:
Occupy the IDSA!

Lyme patients, no time to delay -
Occupy the IDSA!
