This is so sad, I found obituary in today's newspaper for a local woman that was disabled from chronic Lyme.

I can't even tell you how many times a doctor has told me, "there is no Lyme disease here". I wish this were true but they couldn't be more wrong.

Makes you wonder if she really had CFIDS, or just lyme. Maybe both. And what kind of treatment did she get for the lyme, if any.

I wish we could present the IDSA and NIH with every obituary like this. But then they would just deny lyme had anything to do with it, like that CDC juy just did in a published article. Those people have no respect for human life. How do they end up in medical/public health fields?

That is very sad.

I am sure there are so many obituaries out there that actually related to chronic lyme disease but they were misdiagnosed.

I agree with you lou. She probably had Lyme and the CFS was secondary to it.

Sad situation. She was far to young to die.
