Where's kam?? I didn't see her on FB today either.
Wolfie.. hope your nephew gets relief. If I wasn't afraid of steroids, I would get a shot too (or two of them). One for my neck and one for the lower back.
Enjoy that massage!!

Hi KGG! Long time no see!
My therapist worked me over today! Had some ribs to close together and he worked on my bad shoulder and my s.i. joint that's giving me fits!
I feel better.
Hey all, I finally thought of a way to get some exercise since I can't walk around my neighborhood due to safety issues.
I'm going to look around at second hand stores for an old threadmill or something.
Christmas is right around the corner and I guess this would be a great gift for me.
Wish me luck finding something I can afford!
See you all later!

Did you sleep tutu?
I have not been able to do the 10 min loop in the forest for a while.
But, I did travel in the power chair to the Rock Show only to find out it was today instead. (I thought yesterday was Friday)
I think it took me about 30 min to get there via the power chair.
My body is still hurting from the outing. It was good to be out but wishing I had a way to transport the power chair.
The trip would have taken 5 min via the car.
Being able to read text on the computer has been very limiting lately. It hurts just to look at the computer.
I do go out to the trailhead when able. I drive on the road and Rosie runs.
She has been wanting more exercise lately. Gives me "the look" several times a day now to get out of the apartment.
A quick trip in the power chair is not doing it. She wants the off leash time so she can stretach her legs.
Good to see she is more active. I was considering taking her to the vet to get checked out this summer as she was so inactive.
Turns out it was just the heat. She would get overheated just going across the street via my power chair in the afternoon's.
I must admit I do have the holiday blues too. But, have noticed that when my health is able to do a little something the blues aren't so bad.

anybody have a treadmill they would recommend to buy? With the cold, rain, snow, and ice this winter walking outside will be hard. I would really like to buy a treadmill but they are so expensive for a good one. Looking for a good cheap one if there is such a thing

But, we only have Walmart for shopping here.

Sounds like fun jimmy.
Able to do the 10 min loop in the forest.
I have been tried stopping meds and supplement.s
I have tried cutting back on them.
But, back to taking 2 biaxin and supplements today.
Hopefully I won't space out again or go in what I call lala land and loose days.
I did get the fruit and veggies. It is called Bountiful Baskets. They are in several states.
$15.00 Makes it easy for those of us with health issues. We just need to pick up the basket.
Spinach, pears, celery, apples, tomatoes, pineapple, red potatoes ( don't think I can do those so will put them on the free table here at the apartment), tangerines, banana's...I know there was more but my arms are too weak to continue to type.

Went to the grocery store and picked up a few things. Finally bought a turkey, about a 20 pounder.
So, hauling that thing around is my exercise for the day!
TuTu-I hear sciatica and S.I. joint pain are very similar. I feel for you.
Kam-So Rosie gives you 'the look' too? Rocky does this....looks away while I'm eating to prove how good he's being so he'll get some food. He has no shame!
Marcie-I'm looking for something too. I'm going to check out the thrift shops like Kam mentioned.
Jimmy-Envious that you're out riding. I had a bike but gave it away because it made me feel guilty. My dog would have tantrums cause he couldn't go with me.
Kayak-Egads!!! Just reading your post wore me out! Are you hanging in there with all the work of moving? I hope you don't have to cook on Turkey day to boot!
See you all tomorrow!

Thx ALW for starting the thread this week.
I was reading someone's post on here and got wore out just from reading it too.
I also had the thought of asking a physical therapist business on what they would recommend for those who wish to exercise indoors.

just checking in-no real exercise news. i have gotten 2 really good nites sleep so that is good. i'm gonna slowly continue to unpack so i have lots of totes to take back. i sure hope next trip is the last.
i'm supposed to cook just a turkey breast and the minimum of fixins for my 2 oldest and their wives. the wives might help a little. one is bringing yams...theres noway i can wrestle a turkey anymore with my hands. and they are at the worst they have ever been with this move. last nite i couldnt type or even push the microwave buttons...
theres a bunch of emotional stuff going on with both couples so i sure hope it goes ok. all 4 of my kids have stuff going on now. ususally i can brag about how good they are doing. when i realized how they are all struggling now i got kinda overwhelmed and i just had to let it all go. i sure cant fix it. i did my job...now i'll just sit back and watch it unfold.
i'm just gonna try to enjoy any little time i have with them...i see them so rarely...and focus on taking care of me.
i figured out how to put a chair in each room so i can sit and have a good view of the mountains...i didnt do that before. i like it.
there really is too much stuff here and i wish i could give that treadmill to one of you who need it. maybe i'll start a new post...maybe there is someone closer who could use it.
have good days everyone!
