Can't imagine being so sick and having to travel. I would need to be able to lay down. Reclining even just a little bit on a plane would not work for me.
I don't know what it is like in 1st class. But, doubting the seats recline enough to almost lay down.
Wondering how long they will need to be on the plane.

Tuesday: able to put in two loads of laundry.
Finally able to choose between the two cardios' the primary doc's office suggested and call one of them.
Very rare I have my phone skills. I had to remind me that what the office was asking me is normal and the struggle with answering was due to my brain and not them.
Need to pick up the new patient packet..which I had asked them to mail it to me.
Need to leave msg with primary doc for referral to cardio still...when able.
I was pretty much dead in the water this am even with the pain meds. It was not until I took the excedrin that the brain kicked in.

HEY THERE, kam!! I took the liberty of putting the thread in capital letters .. so I can find it!!
Glad you got a referral. So did you call them or not? Sounded like you did, then sounded like you didn't. I be confused!!
Hope your day gets better and better!! I am going to stay off my feet today as much as possible. Have to go to church tonight.
No exercising going on over here.

I called the cardio, but still need to call the primary doc so they can send the referral paper work.
The Monarch of the Glen is a good series to help keep you off your feet. I have been renting it from Netflix. Takes my mind off of what I am not able to do.

I'm so out of the loop that I don't have a DVD player!! Used to have one. It broke within a year.
I do have DISH though. I'm not much of a movie watcher. There aren't many that don't have foul language anymore. I won't sit and listen to that.
What is Monarch of the Glen??
Kayak is not on here today due to painful hands. I spoke with her today.

Good to hear that you were able to talk with Kayak. Sorry to hear about your hands Kayak. Hang in there.
I like having a DVD player as I can choose which movies I watch and avoid those that have foul language, etc.
I think Monarch of the Glen was a PBS series. It is about an old Scottish castle and what the old Laird and the new Laird are trying to do to keep it running.
It is entertaining. You might be able to watch it on u tube via the computer.
Some of the other PBS or Masterpiece Theater movies are on u tube also.
downton abby I think is what another series is called.
Gettign dressed today was my biggee so far.

I'm just dropping by to say "Hello" to all of you.
Kam, the more and more I read from those that are making it through to the other side with this illness...the common thread I'm getting is weight lifting/exercise and diet.
This is not in place of treatment, but what people seem to bring faithfully in to their lives during the process.
It sounds so easy until you try to push through it all. My best to all of you.

I rode 10 minutes on my recumbent bike yesterday and today!
Walked around for half an hour in a hotel pool earlier in the week. I love pools.
Starting PT next week to try and regain some strength; I've laid around for 7 months, and now it's time to start the long trek upward!

raphi...sounds like you are springing forward! Just in time for spring.
kayak...i sometimes wonder if using my brain too much is why I don't get a good night's rest too.
Or for that matter...over doing it physically too.
Slippery slope.
I hope jimmy is out having fun.
Went around the blk in the upright PC this am. Needed the reclining one with leg lifts...had a great deal of difficulty holding myself upright.
Good to get out of the apartment...but good to get back down too...as brain was/is in a fog.
Hoping to be able to take a shower today and put on clean clothes.

OH my. One of my friends was just killed in a plane crash. He was one of my mentors in Xango. From early reports, I believe he was trying to avoid hitting some jet skiers on the lake with his plane.
He tried to pull up and then crashed. His wife is usually with him, but she wasn't this time. He was flying back from a charity event he was involved with.
I am so shocked. We heard there had been a plane crash at the lake as we headed out to church tonight. He was the first person I thought of. Now when we came home, we found out it was him.

TC sent me this article via email. I haven't read it yet.
But, was reminded of the group who I use to pass standing off the trail moving slowly in place..mostly upper body movement.
Wanted to join them at first and then realized I wouldn't be able to physically. hadn't consider sitting down to join them.
Even if I could get a chair there, I would only last about 5 min sitting and then not so sure I would be able to walk out.
tutu..sorry to hear about your friend....ouch
kayak...good to hear from you...road trip...hurray!
on the coast...even better
been thinking of Karen a lot lately ...for some time now
