Not sure why but I can not lie flat. I get a anxious, dizzy or weird head feeling and when I get up a sorta dizzy feeling.

I sleep propped up with three pillows..Gota go for a bond density test , which is nothing but I
can't lie flat on the table so hoping they will give me a couple of pillows.. there are other test I haven't been able to do because of the lying flat issue.

Is this another lyme symprom ? Probably not but didn't have it till lyme..

I am not sure why I can't or can but very uncomfortable.. No pain just a weird feeling of racing heart, crazy head feeling sorta like a veritgo is coming.. Then when I sit up its as if I am going to be dizzy.. Maybe its all anxiety but don't think so.

Going for the bone den. test and take a pillow or two..

How do you handle it when you have to go to a doctor that requiers lying flat?

tks

Hi...I have the same problem...I am in bed now with 3 pillows...I can't lie flat cause my heart will beat fast and I also get dizzy, feels like the beds a ride at a fair, all topsy tervy.

I have been like this for a few years now and if in the night i end up flat it wakes me up with a racing heart..scares the heck outa me. Had my heart fixed for a tachy cause it was 220 beats at rest, but the doc says its fine now.

I ask them to put a knee wedge under my knees and that helped a bit ..i also had a towel rolled and putt it under my neck or use a pillow. My xray tech was fast so it was over quickly. Good luck to you and if I ever figure out what causes it I will let you know.

Hi.. no mine doesn' either, but i think its do do with maybe the neck or a nerve that gets pinched. By morning my neck hurts and is stiff..takes awhile to get it back to normal....i see my lyme doc tueday ...i will run it by then.

Take care

I have trouble laying flat because of gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying) and also a poorly functioning lower esophageal sphincter. Lying flat causes food to come up into my mouth from my stomach. I sleep propped up on about 4 pillows (sometimes more)...

Is it from Lyme? Most likely Lyme/Bart., and also possibly some kind of genetic thing (thanks Dad! -- he had messed up genes).

If I have to lie down for a test or something, I try to do it on an empty stomach, since then my stomach can't send anything much up...

I have only recently been able to sleep like a normal person, but I still cling to my 3 pillows. I am afraid that I will wake up feeling horrible if I sleep in a normal position.

I think it's caused by inflammation in the brain and it gets worse when we lie down. for me, it's definitely lyme related.
