Vote for my answer or ask your own question about his history of lyme disease prior to his Parkinson's diagnosis.

My answer is #2816 I think -- just change the format to newest to oldest and it should be near the top. Listed as neurolyme.

Looks like you can't vote for someone's answer unless you are a level 2 point wise. Oh well. Everyone can still ask their own question anyway.

Did he really have Lyme before Parkinson's or are we assuming?

He was diagnosed with lyme and went on Letterman and admitted he and his crew members were infected in Canada while filming "The Magic Lie" in the late 70's.

He has never made the connection between his lyme diagnosis and parkinson's. But he only knows what his doctors tell him.

I read his book, "Lucky Man."
He's a good writer!

Bea, I had to go back a couple pages to find your post.
Here it is, for the benefit of others here:

=====
Many people who have lyme disease and tickborne coinfections think that your Parkinson's was/is due to inadequate treatment of your lyme disease. Would you be willing to take the new lyme culture test from Advanced Labs to determine if you still have an active lyme infection?

My husband had a Parkinsonian tremor for over 8 years. It has been gone for a couple of years now after receiving aggressive treatment for lyme, babesia, bartonella and ehrlichia.

Wishing you and yours the best.

Celebrities have incredible opportunities to make the world aware of whatever they believe in. Maybe he's not yet entirely sure his parkinsons is lyme induced. I guess it depends on your belief system. Some people think everything doctors say is gold (not). I hope he opens up everyone's eyes about lyme.

Here is the link to the thread about the letter I wrote to Michael J Fox a couple years ago. Chances are it never got to him, but I can only pray.

The fibromyalgia I've had for 32 years was an undiagnosed Lyme symptom.
