Greetings God Thought Friends,

I read all of the last thread and am now caught up. Thank you all for your faithfulness to each other and for keeping the thread "alive". I was glad to read all the latest.

Much has happened since my last post. I continue to be doing very well. Thank God! And thank you for your prayers.

GWB and i have moved to Florida. After listing our house for sale...it sold...everything moved along so quickly that I had to focus on getting packed and all the other things that go along with moving halfway across the US.

It is so exciting what God is doing. We have relocated the ministry we are involved with to Florida, and GWB and I, being into the "healthy" lifestyle with all the "weird" and "not so weird" stuff...all of that is much more readily available in Florida than Oklahoma. We believe, too, that the salt air/ocean breeze, salt water, God's beautiful creation here will be very therapeutic too. It already is and we've only been here since last Friday.

Tomorrow is Good Friday. What is so good about this day? In a word-JESUS!

Jesus after the Last Supper, in the Garden of Gethsemane,
Luke 42:22,

``Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.''

Jesus, thank you forever for drinking the cup...all of it...for me!

TGIF - Thank God It's Forever!

JESUS is from everlasting to everlasting!

Man - God

FOR YOU AND ME - GOOD FRIDAY!

When we have Jesus...we have more than enough!

Good afternoon God Thought family,

Mark 14:36 And He said, " Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will."

And Jesus instructed His disciples to use this word "Abba" in their prayers as well. We are empowered to speak to God just as a small child speaks to His father.

Cyprian wrote.... "Now, if the Son was obedient to do His Fathers' will, the servent should be much more obedient to do his Master's will." This is the will of God which Christ both did and taught....humility in conversation; steadfastness in faith; modesty in words; justice in deeds; mercy in works; discipline in morals; inability to do wrong, and ability to bear wrong done; to keep peace with the breathen; to love God with all our hearts; to love Him as a Father; to fear Him as God; to prefer nothing above Christ;to adhere inseparbly to His love; and to stand by His cross bravely and faithfully.

If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day.

Today friends, I am bubbling over with joy.

My youngest daughter is having a baby. She gave me this beautiful news this morning. I knew already...just waited for her to share with me. I am so full of happiness. We are going to have a December baby!

MDW, Congratulations! That's awesome...a December baby. Surely, children and grandchildren are a gift from the Lord. Bubbling over with joy for you.

Your "Abba" write is beautiful. WOW and WHOA..."If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day." Unfortunately from experience I can say that is true for me.

Jesus, help me to live a life of putting you first, after all you always put me first. [bow]

Good Friday afternoon friends!!

We are so blessed to have Jesus and the cross!

His suffering and death for our sins is almost too much to fathom.

Thank you, Jesus! I Trust In You!!!!

I went to church at noon today. It was very solemn and quiet. There is much to think about on this day when Jesus was hanging on the cross dying.

daisy, so glad everything went smoothly with your move and you are already enjoying Florida! May God lead you and gwb as only He can!

Chris Tomlin's "Enough" is a beautiful song.

MDW, Congratulations!!! Babies are so wonderful! So much to look forward to!

I also enjoyed what you shared.

My older grandson told me that he and his younger brother are going to sing "Christ is Risen" by Matt Maher for my husband and me on Easter. Love to hear those boys sing Christian music!!

We are staying with our son, his precious wife, and our three granddaughters until next week when our belongings arrive. Then we will be moving into a nice apartment home.

Tonight we celebrated our youngest son's 32nd birthday. Tomorrow we will take care of the three girls while he and his wife go to Epcot. It's been a busy day and almost everyone is in bed now. I have a few minutes before I hit the hay and wanted to pop in and see what's up on this Easter Weekend.

Dekrator, What a special Easter blessing you and your husband will experience as your grandson's sing "Christ is Risen"! What a powerful influence you two are having on their young lives now...and for the future. I really like the words of that song...especially when it says, "Christ has risen from the dead trampling over death by death!" AMEN! Christ is risen indeed!

Payne, Thought provoking words. Hallelujah!

Good night everyone. May you experience God's healing touch in a special way this weekend...healing in body, soul, mind, and spirit.

Good morning everyone,

A bit of a chill in the morning air when I stepped outside to listen to the birds. Kind of shocked my body awake. Good morning, I say to the Lord...then jumped back inside to warm my cold chills.

Daisy...sounds like an active weekend with much joy being shared...enjoy those girls playing hard with you and grandpa...they do not grow tired like we do..they know how to fight naps. Thank you for the special thoughts of God's touch for us this weekend...May you also experience.

Dekrator...you enjoy the time you have with the boys also. A song...beutiful they sing to you. I enjoyed listening to their song choice.

Happy Easter weekend to you, Payne and the rest of God Thought friends and family.

Hello God thought family. Happy Easter !!!!!!!!!!

I have been busy lately but you have all been on my mind and in my prayers. I love reading the posts and prayers.

Daisy, Glad you are GWB are doing well, may God bless your new home. I love the salty air, it is so cleansing to the body and soul.

MDW, Congrats !!! Nothing like a new baby to bring joy to your family.

Dekrator, I love hearing about your grands. It really is a blessing to have them know Jesus in this world today. He has always been my strength and shield.

payne - Love the beautiful picture and prayer that you posted. God bless you.

May God continue to bless all of you with wonderful health, happiness and joy.

My Aunt was taken off VPN on Tuesday. She had Pancreatic cancer and has been suffering. Spent some last wonderful moments with her and the family. Laughing praying and singing. She was able to joke and laugh with so many family members until Saturday when she became incoherent. She went home to heaven this morning on this blessed day. She is home with Jesus.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. My condolences to you and your family.

It is a great day to be with the Lord however, so she must be rejoicing with Him on this blessed Easter Day.

Busy is good...so you must be feeling better. I pray that you are, and it continues.

Thanks for your prayers! Have a restful evening.

Thanks Dekrator. She must have been special to be taken on such a glorious day.

Hello all, Just dropping in to say a prayer. I hope you are all having a blessed day.

Almighty and Everlasting God, the eternal salvation of those who believe in You, hear us on behalf of Your servants who are sick, for whom we humbly beg the help of your mercy, so that, being resorted to health, they may render thanks to you in your Church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Hello friends,

My daughter's LLMD needs our prayer...his license is being challenged. Shortly after receiving notice that he is under investigation he suffered a heart attack.

He recovered and made a heart-decision to fight the licensing board.

Although my daughter enjoys feeling well...it was noted at her appt. that bb is still present in her blood and she will resume a lyme protocol.

Please pray for us...my daughter...her beloved LLMD...me, for I am weary.

I am grateful for this thread and I continue to uphold you all in prayer.

Thankful
Sue

Hi friends,

I have good news to share. My insurance approved the kyphoplasty procedure to repair 2 of my fractured vertebrae.

My doctor did a bone scan to compare with the MRI to help prioritize and see which of the fractures were the worst. He will fix those first and we will hope that repairing those two will bring enough stability and pain relief that I will not need any more future procedures.

It is sad though, as with Lyme, insurance is dictating care and not allowing my doctor to treat me as he believes is medically necessary.

My doctor said that with the insurance rules, if I'm still in significant pain after waiting 10days after the kyphoplasty of the first 2 vertebrae then he can apply for prior auth for repair of another 2 vertebrae ... until they are all repaired or denied.

So if you will, please pray for me. My kyphoplasty procedure is scheduled for this wednesday at 12:30pm. I am nervous because there are some risks, especially with having Lyme and the immune deficiency. But I feel like it is necessary. I can't even stand long enough to brush my teeth, the pain is overwhelming.

Thank you friends, words cannot express how much I appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers.

Hugs [Smile]

Dear sammy,

Great news, that the surgery was approved and will be tomorrow!

I am fervently praying for your surgery to be successful and for you to have pain relief and no complications.

I will keep praying for you, and especially on Wed at 12:30 pm.

Wish I could be there to support you, but we will all be right here, waiting to hear how you are doing when you are well enough to get online.

Big hugs dear friend!!

Proverbs 3:5-6(NASB)

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight

Philippians 4:6-9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Just got word yesterday that my husband's aunt died and now today her daughter may be dying. She has Hep C and has been on chemo a few months. She is unresponsive in ICU with an infection in her pancreas. They don't think she even knows her mother died, as she was nearly incoherent the day they told her.

Lymetoo...that is bad news...I lost a dear friend to Hep C several years ago. It, too, is a very tricky illness...I hope you and your husband are okay.

Sammy...I will be on board tomorrow with prayers for you and your doctor...pray that you won't be fearful, that your surgeon's hands and skills will be perfect and that your rehab and healing will be so quick and smooth that it will be mind-boggling to your doctor.

They lived with the two of them (only) while growing up, so I know they are very close.

Caleb Jentsch's latest journal entry...

--

Keep Your Bibles Near
I called Kurt from Touchstone tonight so Caleb could tell him hello. They talked briefly before Caleb asked, "Dad, would you read to me from the Bible?". I am sure any dad would love to hear that request from their 21 yr old son. Kurt read to him from Matthew 5-7. I had the privilege to listen as the words of The Father's Son were spoken from a father to his son. My 'love language' is gifts and no amount of money can buy a gift like that. Thank you, Father.

The daily reports are Caleb had a good day and participated in therapies. The caregivers are always pleased to be able to tell us when Caleb has had a good day. He ate while I told him what we had done today. He asked if I'd brought a Blast so we went outside after dinner and retrieved it from the car for him to enjoy. We both enjoyed the time outside. I am excited to tell you we did not use his wheelchair at all this evening.

We walked back to his room where he brushes his teeth and I help him get ready for bed. God is hearing and answering your prayers. Thank you friends and Thank you, God. Please pray that he will be able to lengthen the amount of time he can effectively be in therapy and for his therapist to be able to make a trust connection with him.

Caleb is sleeping well at night. He is able to stay up a bit longer in the evenings so our visits are a little later than they have been. He is not asleep completely when it is time for us to leave each evening and always wants 'one more long hug' and the assurance of tomorrow's visit. We always assure him we will return tomorrow and comfort him and ourselves knowing we leave him in the constant care of God.

Psalm 91: 1-2 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ``He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.''
He also asked me to read a scripture to him from my phone. It was again a special time to read a scripture from his best girl friend who had posted it on the Prayer Bible for Caleb page of Facebook.

2 Timothy 4:17-18 But the Lord stood by me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring him safely into His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

"One last thing Mom, will you pray with me?" As I prayed, Caleb's caregiver stopped her charting and agreed with me in prayer to Father.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.'' Another invitation before the King of Kings. How often do I take that for granted. Thank you King for the invitation to your throne made possible by the sacrifice of Your own Son.

Please continue to pray for the caregivers and residents at Touchstone.

I had a nudge from God (conviction) when Caleb asked Kurt to read to him from the Bible. What if I had received such a call and did not have my Bible handy. My brother has memorized scripture passages, a recent Bible study challenged us to memorize the whole book of James, and many of you have committed scripture to memory as well.

I pray I would increase my Bible memory and live it as well. As one dear friend ends her messages "You may be the only Bible some people read".
1 Corinthians 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful
Along with your other prayers please continue to remember to pray for Dr. Cassidy and his physician assistant, Amanda.

1 Corinthians 15: 58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

love..... The Jentsches

I am praying for them and all of your family.

That's so tragic.

Lymetoo, thank you for keeping us updated on Caleb and Gage.

I'm really sorry to hear about your husband's aunt and now her daughter. So sad.

Makes me want to run out and tell my family that I love them right now while I have the chance.

A good reminder that we should never take them for granted.

I have some happy news to share with everyone.

Remember baby Tyler? He was born at 23weeks, way too early last spring. We all prayed for him as he fought for his life...

Well, he will be a year old at the end of May. Isn't that amazing!!!

He's doing really well. He's happy, loves to play, currently loves to bite [Smile] His vision is good and hearing is good. He rolls around and kinda scoots himself some but doesn't crawl yet. Remember, developmentally he should be on par with a baby born in late August.

They recently did some brain scans and found that he does have some mild cerebral palsy so he has started special physical therapy for that. Really he looks and acts like a healthy baby.

He's a miracle. When I see him I still picture that tiny perfect 1.5lb baby. I will never ever forget what God has done.

I've been thinking about this more recently because my sister is pregnant and her baby girl "Harper" is now 22wks along. So close to where Tyler was. We pray that she stays inside and grows healthy and strong!

Dear God thought friends, I posted an update in medical but I know some of you don't look there so I'll share the same here:

I'm made it home [Smile] Feeling tired and very sore.

The procedure went well. My nurses, doctor, and anesthesiologist were great.

They gave me a large amount of versed, fentanyl, and propofol. I still woke up during the procedure! Yikes right!!!

The anesthesiologist was holding my hands and she was like "oh my gosh, are you really awake?" I laughed, said "yes" and started talking to her.

At least I didn't feel any pain so she just kept telling me not to move and held my hands. It was weird that I was awake for so long.

She said she gave me a ton of medicine so she was shocked when I woke up before the procedure was over, before recovery!

At least by the time I woke up the doctor had already started introducing the cement into the second vertebrae so the horribly painful part was over. Glad I didn't wake up a little earlier!

I'm scheduled to have the next 2 vertebrae (T9 and T10) repaired on May 24th. That is the earliest insurance rules will allow so they went ahead and put me on the doctor's schedule so I won't have to wait until after they get it authorized. Sadly it is a month away. Stupid insurance rules.

Thanks so much for your prayers. God was clearly watching out for me today [Smile]

Good Sunday afternoon everyone!

How is everyone doing?

I was also wondering about sammy, Lymetoo.

Praying for sammy, and everyone else too, and wating to hear that sammy is making progress and her pain is decreased.

Thought I'd share some scriptures today..

One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)

The LORD is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1 (NIV)

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26 (NIV)

Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
Matthew 22:37 (NIV)

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
1 John 1:5-7 (NIV)

Dear friends,

Could you please pray for my friend, Judy.

She is having breast cancer surgery on Tuesday, April 24.

A lumpectomy is planned but they will biopsy her lymph nodes and determine if a mastectomy is necessary.

She will also need radiation treatments.

She has little to no family support, so I am hoping to spend the day at the hospital with her on Tuesday.

Thank you friends, your prayers are appreciated!

Praying for you, Lymetoo!!! Darn neck pain...I totally understand.

Thanks for praying for my friend, Judy.

She is doing well at home after having a lumpectomy today.

God worked out all the details today.....

I have been praying for many months for Judy's son, Chris. He is about 21 or 22 yrs old and a recovering drug addict.

He does not work and lives with Judy. She has been through alot with him and it has been a burden for her, since she does not make alot of money at her job and also takes care of her elderly parents.

I found out on Saturday that Chris planned to go to the hospital with his Mom. I planned to go too.

I have been trying for months to spread God's word to Chris through Judy. I usually only saw Chris for a fleeting moment when I dropped Judy off at her house or something.

I never had the real opportunity to talk to him, and often wondered how that opportunity might ever present itself.

Today, God presented the opportunity.

Chris and I were sitting in the cubical in the outpatient surgery dept while his Mom went to Xray for a chest xray and needle placement in prep for the lumpectomy.

When she was wheeled away, Chris became teary and told me how much he loved his Mom and was worried about her.

He then told me how he had done many things in his life that he regretted.

He told me he has always believed in God and his Grandfather talks to him about God and gives him a magazine to read.

Chris has been a recovering addict for at least a year. He has no friends left.

He basically stays in the house everyday. He does go to a methadone clinic.

We talked about how we are all sinners, and what he has done is no worse in God's eyes than what I have done...and that if we are sorry for our sins and ask forgiveness, that Jesus forgives us and our sins are washed away.

I asked him if he ever considered getting connected with a church. To my surprise, he said, Yes, he would like that.

He said he did not try to find one on his own because he thought he might pick a cult or something.

It so happens that there is a church in our community that takes recovering drug addicts under their wing. They are wonderful from what I hear.

I asked Chris if he would like me to contact that pastor and ask him to contact Chris....he said YES!

Chris and I talked for about an hour...about many things.

He told me he had watched Joyce Meyer on tv a few times after I told his Mom about her.

Just so happened that God worked it out that we were in that cubicle with a tv at 10:30 am today when Joyce Meyer was on tv.....so we watched.

The talk we had, and Chris's openness to hearing about God, far exceeded my expectations that I was hoping for.

We talked about the book Heaven is for Real...and Chris said he would like to read it...so I gave him a copy to read.

Tomorrow I plan to call that pastor.

I'm not sure, but ironically, there is a chance that Judy's nurse today may have been the pastor's wife.....now would that be a Godincidence or what???

I need to ask her to look on her paperwork and see if the nurses signature is on there.

It was almost unbelieveable how all the pieces fell into place today....but we know that all things are possible with God.

Thank you, Jesus, you are so faithful and do hear our prayers!!

Good Morning!

So glad to see God Thought thread is "still alive". Wonderful to read your posts and see how God is taking care of you all.

He is taking care of GWB and me too. We have moved to Florida! Been busy. All good. I'm trying to pace my self and not overdo it...so not been on my laptop much.

Dekrator, WOW! That is amazing about Chris.

I am reminded of the verse in Ephesians 3:20 where it says that God is able to do more than we ask, think, or even imagine...

Isn't THAT the truth!!!

Praying for everyone. Blessings of the Lord be poured out on you, your families, and friends. All and praise and honor to our Lord Jesus.

Hi daisy,

Good to hear that you and gwb are getting settled in and things are going well for you.

Ephhesians 3:20 is perfect!!! I think I will look that chapter up and read.

It sounds good to me if you want to start the new thread on Monday. Whatever works for you.

Thanks for the prayers...I'm also praying for everyone.

Have a great day friends!

Jesus, I love You.

My Savior, I thank You.

My King, I will serve You all of my days.

Messiah, I'm waiting and watching for your return.

Lord, I will worship you throughout eternity.

Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend. Think happy thoughts-by God's grace [bow]

Update on Caleb:

Hi guys,

Today has gone well. Caleb was able to participate in ST with no issues. In OT he became a little frustrated and refused to participate. However, he has been talking with his 1:1 more, and actually requested to speak with me. The staff was going to take a lunch over to another resident & he stated that he would like to go with her. He asked me if he could then and a nap when they came back. Blessed day.

Sheena H
Windsor Program Director

Sheena is the awesome Christian "Mom" to all the residents of Caleb's home while away from home - The Windsor House. She is also one of the staff /caregivers you specifically pray for on Fridays of each week which did not go unanswered for this day!

Not only did Caleb's request to speak with Sheena engage his 1:1, but it required memory of her name and her role at the Windsor House before doing so. The coolest gift was the smile Sheena received from Cabe after recognizing her voice when she entered his room!!

Thru tearful eyes she agreed that a larger work is at Hand in her life with Caleb and Deborah both ministering to her personally at just the right moments...and when needed most.

Today's first "legitimate" smile in a long while with Sheena seemed to be contagious for Caleb and a good indication that his new cocktail of medications are beginning to soften the sadness he is feeling.

He greeted a trio of some of his closest girl-friends from College Station with smiles at supper that said "I am so happy to see you." It made my heart feel good to see the sadness disappear away from his even if for these brief moments.

The rest of the evening's visit was spent trying to engage Caleb with atm happenings as he ate his supper and then praying for him in and outside his room. To me, there is nothing more awesome and exciting than to stand back, watch and listen to this next generation falling in deeper love with the Father.

It is truly not about religion but a relationship, and I'm am seeing God become more and more personal with each day of this journey. As one of the young ladies put it, you cannot have faith unless you trust; and trust has to be developed as we walk thru life's circumstances with the Father.

I believe God has just answered my prayer on what is required to have an unquestionable faith....a Blessed Day today, Indeed!

--

PS.. "atm" is Texas A & M [Wink]

I attended our local Mayor's Prayer Breakfast today! It was great! Got to hear a speaker who was a former Muslim (from Iran) and was in Iran during the hostage crisis... among those shouting "death to the USA." He is now a Christian minister.

Very inspiring!

--

Caleb is making even more progress than above... amazing stuff!!

here is the latest on Gage!!!!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PRAYED AND IS PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

--

We met with Dr Rytting at MDA today and the mri scan was clear!! We are so truly blessed and thankful that Gage is doing so well and his scan was clean. Missy and I are always nervous/anxious before every MRI and this one was no different. I remind myself how God has protected Gage the last 7 years (3 brain surgeries, radiation (twice), blood transfusions, eye surgery, shunt issues, eating challenges, muscle atrophy, facial surgery so Gage can smile, and the fact that Gage has had to learn to walk 4 times in his 8 years).

We were able to get clearance to remove Gage's central line so we will work to get that procedure (out-patient) asap. He can start swimming 5 days post-removal so Gage can enjoy the pool this summer (Praise God!). Getting the central line out will also be great for his confidence too. I can't imagine being 8 and having these tubes coming out of my chest...Gage has been amazing handling all of this. He will finish up on his IV treatment with Dr Allibone early next week so that will free up some of his and Missy's time.

Gage's balance has improved as well and he pushes us away now to walk a little bit on his own before having to grab our hand. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

Dan

Good Evening,

I have been trying to get on Lymenet, off and on this week, and haven't been able to when I've had the chance to try. My computer just kept spinning.

Great news about Caleb and Gabe both...miracles in the making! Lymetoo, thanks for the updates.

Pocono Lyme, thanks for sharing the website. Beautiful/powerful prayer by Dr. David Jeremiah.

payne, your post reminded me of this verse in Hebrews 11:6,

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

People often quote the first part of that verse, but that last part is so awesome-our "God is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek him." He loves us so much!

OK, on to start the new thread...finally. Prayers and blessings all!
