Another week gang...what can we do?

Saturday-Battled the fig tree stump with an axe and pick axe. Needless to say I'm still sore today.

Washed my car and did my bedding too.

Sunday-Car shopped with my Mom.

That's it so far.

MannaMe-What's your secret in getting your other half to cut the grass....inquiring minds would like to know! [Roll Eyes]

Kam-Whew...washing Rosie sounds like alot of work. I dread washing Rocky. I have to secure him to the porch steps so he doesn't run off and wash him that way. He's so ginormous it takes me a long time. It can be quite an ordeal for him and me both! [lol]

TuTu-How're your feet doing? I hate it when my feet hurt. The bottoms of my feet used to hurt all the time. [Frown]

BTW, forgot to mention that the hubs is walking Rocky now cause of all the problems I had with my meth head neighbors. They don't mess with him at all.

I need to get out there and walk around the duck pond at work. Heard thru someone else that's walking that there's a bunch of little ducklings. So that's motivation enough for me.

See you all later!

Still didn't bring my change of clothes to walk around the duck pond.

Getting up super early tomorrow to go car shopping again with the Moms before work.

Got up early today and did some laundry and washed and cooked some squash to put up for casseroles.

Trying a new diet this week....found something I think I can live with.....so am giving it a shot.

Got to get rid of the weight I gained from the HGH injections I used to take.

Oh well........

Good job, randi and AK!!

My feet are terrible. Hubby took me to WallyWorld and the grocery store yesterday. My back and feet are done in. Went to spinal decompression and now my back feels worse. I give up. (can you do that?)

Able to put 2 loads of laundry in

Caregiver put new mop together. I tried using it.

I sat down and tried to clean one area of the floor.

Brain couldn't handle talkign to the arms so had to give it up. Maybe another time.

it seems cooler here today. I still have the windows open and the air is not coming on yet.

There is a slight smell of smoke from the forest fire south of here in the air but not enough to close the windows yet.

Tutu...I got this vision in my brain with you on a guerny and your husband rolling you around WM.

You were pointing to what you wanted him to put in the cart. [Smile]

I think we should just run away. Are you OK if you are laying down??

ALW..I use to like going car shopping> I would check the web for reviews, prices, etc.

I did not like the process of purchasing the car though. I hope they have changed that.

Now you can also check the car's history. This is good.

Randi bear....cool to hear you are able to walk around the lake.

ALW...Rosie still hasn't had a shower/bath yet. I still haven't been strong eoough to do so.

hopefully soon. I did clip the hair that was covering her eyes yesterday. That is tricky as I have to wait until the brain is talking the arms well enough to do so.

ALW...looking forward to hearing about those ducklings.

Lying down is sometimes bad too... especially when there is nothing to distract me from the pain. I "listen" to TV a lot. I either have to sit up in my office chair or lie flat on my back.

Glad you are a tad better, kam. How much Excedrin do you have left?

---thanks for the funny vision--- [Smile]

I too am thankful for the tv and the computer to take my mind off of lyme or make it at least more bearable.

I don't know how much excedrin I have left. Time to find out.

I also will check the excedrin fB for updates on getting it back on the shelves.

Kayak...hoping you are able to have some much needed recovery time.

I am in recovery time now.

It hurts my brain to try and think or process things.

I was able to do the 10 min loop in the forest. I enjoyed being there...some Elk foot prints were right next to me almost the whole way.

Sorry, I missed him or her.

Several different bird sounds. Walk was not strong..barely do able but do able.

Rosie loved it...she was putting the peddle to the metal.

Able to walk into 3 different phone stores in town trying to find a way to use the phone.

I switched my land line phone service. Still not sure that is what is needed.

She did tell me that she had a customer who uses captel and is able to communicate via her computer for phone calls.

And that I needed to contact the company that does this in order to get it set up.

it is a free service. I did check out the captel web site.

Looks like I need to get a different phone for one service.

It listed sprint and hamilton as the captel providers.

But, when i contacted sprint they said they did not provide the app in AZ so still trying to sort through things.

My brain is gone...using my brain in that matter is as if I had tried to use it to run around the block...ouch

Able to take a sit down shower last night.

Got up at 5, picked my Mom up at 6:30 drove 2 hours to buy car.

Car issues on 2 hour drive back home.

Took car straight to the mechanic.

Looking at another car right after work.

If second car looks and drives better will return the other one in the a.m.

So tomorrow morning might be a repeat of today.

Aklnwlf, my hubby used the rider mower - he couldn't use the push mower. He can't do much that requires a lot of standing and walking.

Kam, no, it didn't set him back. A friend had stopped by and saw him out mowing. She told a few more friends who were so excited to hear it.

Today we went for a half hour drive (I drove) and he did okay. He usually gets car sick when we drive.

Glad your hubby was able to get out of the house Manna.

Tutu..I checked and I think I have 3 more packets of the excedrin ...2 pills in a packet.

Woke up with the inflamed brain this am and would be in a bad way if I didn't have the excedrin to take.

Checked the excedrin FB page and they still don't know when it will be back on the shelves.

Checked amazon and ebay...one bid on ebay was at $35 for 10 days of excedrin...10 ...2 pills in a pack.

A box was close to $100

Same with Amazon on the box of the two pills in a pack.

A cyber lyme friend ordered CVS generic excedrin for me. Hope it comes to day so I can see if it is going to work.

I have tried generic excdrin the past and it did not wok. I also have tried different forms of excedrin itself and only the extra strength worked.

If this inflamed brain does't let up I most likely will use up what I have left today...I take the excedrin every 4 hrs when it gets bad.

Ha Ha!!! I didn't have to go back and return the car!

[woohoo]

Moms has decided to keep the 2008 Honda Civic. The couple of issues were minor and she's at the Honda dealer getting them resolved as I type.

So today I vacuumed and did a quicky dust job and wipe down of the bathrooms.

Found out via email that I get to leave 2 hours early and still get paid! [Big Grin]

Kayak-Ditch the neuro-psych! Don't even waste your time or energy on someone that doesn't understand L-Y-M-E let alone can't even spell it! [Mad]

To the rest of you guys....have a wonderful Memorial weekend!

Hello gang! I've missed you guys!

Once we returned from vacation (glorious, delightful, exhausting), I was approached to do a design project. The opportunity was too tempting to pass up, and I could do all of it from my home office.

I finished the project yesterday, and actually met with the clients yesterday - in public, in real clothes, with actual makeup on, wearing heels. On lots of work and little sleep, I actually did ok. Had a little bit of brain fog on a few occasions, but only in front of my associates who all know I've had these health challenges.

It was the biggest thing I've done since getting really sick, and I'm feeling somewhat victorious!

I have to say that the Celebrex has totally saved my bacon. Two months on it now, and my pain is markedly reduced. Along with the physical therapy, I'm really seeing some major improvement.

And now, I've got to tidy up this house that has been neglected for too long. And then I'm going to crash.

Best wishes to you all for a great weekend!

Kind of out of it this am so I'll be back to catch up on how you all are doing and what you all are doing.

I was able to do the 10 min loop in the forest but it was a struggle each step.

Whle I was resting on the rock half way through a guy came running by with his two labs.

I wanted to shoot him. yep.

I broke my rule and just had worry thoughts while in the forest.

I made a rule when I first started going out there to just enjoy being there and focusing on the positives.

I did have a moment of joy on the way home when I visualized having my power chair on the back of the car.

Today would have been a good day to drive out there and get in the power chair and let Rosie run off leash.

There is a paved area with no traffic that would work otu well.

I don't know how many excedrin I have left. I had to use 2 or 3 packets yesterday and one this am.

I have had the inflamd brain but the excedrin has helped to keep it manageable.

Those packets were a $1 before they became hard to come by. Now, it is 10 Packets for $35. with one ebay seller.

Or a box for $100 including shipping costs with another ebay seller.

A cyber lyme friend ordered CVS brand of excedrin extra strength.

It might be coming today. I sure hope it works although I have tried generic in the past and it did not work.

Even the excedrin migraine or excedrin body and back doesn't work.

I don't know if I told you but I am getting the lift to transport my power chair on the 31st.

I still am trying to work out how to get the chair down the hill and find someone to drive my car and I down the hill and back up.

So far this am, getting dressed and getting in the power chair ...reclining one with leg lifts ...and going around the apartment building to toilet Rosie is my exercise.

The body is so heavy and weak.

Took 2 of the generic excedrin 30 mmin ago. I hope that helps.

While coming back into the apartment my leg lifts caught the newspaper stand and moved it making a very loud noise.

It spooked Rosie and she ran out the open door while still on the leash.

Automatic doors so the door closed.

The other door opened...two doors to go through when coming into the apartment building.

Thankfull, the maintenance man happened to be here. He was just dropping something off or picking it up.

He came to see what made the noise. He told me what he thought it was but I can't recall now.

he opened the door for Rosie to come back in and opened the door for me and Rosie to go into the lobby.

Then put the newspaper stand back.

he said is this how your day is going to be??

Then wished me a good day. Then wished me 2 good days.

he is such a positive person to have around here.

Maintance man don't last long here...I hope he does. for the most part they work part time but he is here a lot so maybe they changed the rules and found the funds to give him a full time job.

it is a full time job

Very cool Jimmy. We missed you too.

What is celebrex. it seems like something I saw on TV. Guess I better do a search on it.

Might be the product the doc said ins would not provide but instead he prescribed gabapetin.

I didn't have that pressure in my brain when I woke up this am.

But, I still was not able to function so took two of the generic excedrin extra strength that CVS puts out.

It did help me enough to drive the 3 miles to the trailhead and be in the forest 10 or 15 min.

I did do the lyme shuffle on the way back...but just glad I was able to be there.

Down for the count now.
