Thought I'd start this week's thread.

Here's the posts for today....

Kam:

Tutu...coping and pasting your brisket directions so I'll have it when able to get the brisket.

Hurray. Finally able to get the two sinks full of dirty dishes in the DW.

I think it has been 2 wks since I have been able to do this.

It was a sit down job in the power chair. resting now then hoping to be able to do more.

5 ft snake in to watch TV with ya. No thanks.

Rat in the well....ugh

I am thinking of getting gas in the car next. Trying to decide whether to load up the power chair and also pick up a few groceries.

I'd prefer to cruise around on the streets in the forest and give Rosie some off leash time.

That was so much fun last time.

Choices?? Food or fun?

Dang. I forgot to get the brisket at the store.

I was able to load up the power chair and get gas this am.

Then, off to grocery store. PIcked up a few things.

Hurting now so hoping an hour from now the pain will be less.

Took pain med when I got home.

[Eek!]

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/3/30421

Hubby took me to the podiatrist today. Fun, fun. Got another shot in my right foot. The last one missed the mark, I think.

Now we're taping my toes instead of the whole foot. My feet have been awful since Sunday a.m. GRRRRR.

TV I purchased from the thrift shop was delivered today.

it works and I can get closed caption.

I am exhausted even though I didn't do the work.

I did try and sit up at the end of my bed while they hooked the TV up for me.

But, had to lay back down.

I know I did something else...

Oh yes..able to empty the smaller trash cans into the larger one. Hoping to take the trash out to the dumpster next...

..but i hear it is 90 degrees out so not til much later

Able to do more this am than norm.

hi muscle! i have bad hands too-have needed surgery for 7 yrs or more...just cant seem to fit it in

when at my best i ride horses but havent done that since october...cant imagine rollerblading

i got a lot done today...wireless moved to tenents side, and then it stopped raining for about 1/2 an hours and we made a trip to storage

cleaning lady cancled...but she will work all day tomorrow---that will wear me out.

im trying to cook as much as i can tonight to use up stuff in the fridge and freezer

this only being able to walk 2-3 steps is starting to concern me. its not pain...its fatigue. a few steps and i need to sit or feel i will collapse. i get panic-y feeling. i cant think at all when standing...but i am fine if in wheelchair...i really, really need an open concept place to live...but i dont want this to be permanent. i want to get where i can exercise so i can get stronger.

i missed the snake stuff. too tired many days to come here,

kam...so happy for you and rosie to get out and about!

My husband was able to go out to the shop to help our son fix the lawn mower this morning.

In the afternoon went down to the basement to work on a woodworking project.

This evening worked at designing a business logo.

Lol, yeah just trying to get better, always pushing myself. And would like to inspire others as well.

It used to anger me every day that I have gone from extremely athletic to being disabled. Can't even sit down very long because of sciatica. But I think I'm past that stage now and just using all that hatred for the disease to propel me forward.

I always suggest to people listen to your body. If your joints are feeling good workout, if you're in too much pain, give your body rest to recuperate.

Keep fighting everyone!

Sunday-Did a little road trip with Mom and friends to an Okinawan cultural event. Had a great time.

Monday-Catch up on laundry from last week.

Am feeling kinda tired lately. Thought it was lack of motivation but might be low HGH issue. Can't take injections because of side effects so will have to learn to cope with the damaged pituitary.

I do take Rocky around the property every day before I leave for work. He enjoys getting to go outside and walking the perimeter. Think he's got hip dysplasia so he's not getting around like he used to.

TuTu-I read about the snake INSIDE your in-laws house! It freaked me out. That's my worse nightmare. I hope it doesn't happen to me.

Kam-Glad you got a new TV. I love my TV. For years I didn't have cable or satellite. So watching TV is a real treat for me.

MC55-Rollerblade for me too! Last time I was on skates I broke my arm and tailbone. No more skates for me! [Eek!]

Kayak-Did you say blueberry crisp? I'm on the way, spoon in hand! [lick]

See you all later!

i cant believe i am here now...1 a.m. and i cant sleep after falling asleep all day while my workers were here.

i got up to take an extra aspirin cuz i have chest pain...and my meds are gone. i had 2 workers here today and one yesterday. i am down to the end with packing but i had all the meds i am using now in a basket...and once a week i set them up in this plastic thing i have. i went to get the aspirin and the whloe basket is gone. 1/2 the house is empty and clean and there isnt much in the other half . i went thru it 3 times. cant find the basket.

i am not going to be able to get thru this without my meds. closing is now set for friday. i should be happy...but so much to do---cant sleep---and no meds.

this is not good.

i wonder if somehow it was put in a box that went to storage...but i really dont see myself doing that. i wonder if one of the helpers really took it. so crazy.

Wow. I have been missing out. I will read all your posts later.

Doing well enough to take a shower this am.

So got up to find some clothes to wear. I could not get to clothes due to all the stuff on the floor.

So, moved things about a bit...est 5 min...now need to rest again before I try the shower thing.

Still need to get clean clothes to put on too.

Gadzooks, you guys have a lot going on! I was just catching up after not being on here for a while. The five foot snake inside definitely got my attention!

Kayak, I'm worried about you. Please take care of yourself.

MuscleCar55, hats off to you! I'd love to rollerblade, but I fear this stupid illness has rendered me temporarily clumsy(er than normal). Aklnwlf, your last rollerblading ... I'm feeling your pain.

Kam, sounds like you and Rosie have been busy.

Tutu, you've sure been through the ringer, tootsie-wise. Sending you positive thoughts.

I had a nice bike ride with hubby the other day, and I've been keeping up with housework. Well, except my studio is a disaster. Finished some drawings yesterday and am getting them sent off. I'm a bit under the weather today, but am sure it will pass. Just need to lay low for a while.

Wishing you all well!

kayak.. you need to call each of those workers. Get them to go look in storage for you. You HAVE TO HAVE those meds!!!

AK, I used to take the rGH shots. Not sure what happened but I couldn't get them refilled after having been on them several years. I gave it up. Kinda wish I had them back now!

kam...I'm hoping to get a shower today too. I never (rarely) skip but I was afraid of falling in the shower (still am) due to foot pain.

Muscle.. I've had sciatica about 10 yrs .. I despise it so much!!!

jimmy.. good to see you back. Would you like me to email you the pic of the 15 ft rattlesnake they found in Florida?? Largest ever found. And I thought Texas had the market on BIG! [lol]

Another day.....

Haven't done a thing, just at work sitting here and watching the door and answering the phone when it rings.

Kayak-Maybe the meds are in storage. I used to put things in weird places and not remember. One thing I did alot was run the washer without clothes. One day I did it 3 times! Good luck finding them.

Kam-I was late getting in the shower today too! I was wrapped up watching a show on HGTV and felt so comfy on the couch. I just didn't want to do it.

Jimmy1-Biking sounds like so much fun! I'm jealous!

TuTu-What is it with all the snakes? You know I've got em too on my property. I'm hoping since I got rid of the debris pile this year that they won't be in the yard anymore.

See you all later!

kayak..YEA!! glad you found them!

Did a worker get your card number?? or someone "stole" it at a restaurant?

AK.. I hate snakes.

I got a shower today. My feet are still killing me. I even dropped my facial cleanser bottle on my foot. THANKFULLY, it only grazed the big toe joint. If it had hit the top of my foot I'd likely have fallen down due to the pain. WHEW!!!

How did Kam's post,,,first one in this thread,,,get Alkwlf name on it?

I am so stiff and sore,,be glad to get back to paying jobs this weekend to rest up.

I put the siding back on the north side of a house the hail took off,,,then we took off broken siding off west side.

After more sidind being off than on,,,decided to unzip the rest of the houses vinyl siding at half way up and top to drill holes and blow insulation in side walls.

Worked better than thought it could,,should help heating and cooling.

Zipping that stuff open and shut again really takes alot of pressure and holding your tongue on right side of your mouth,,,,its tricky.

Got one heck of a sunburn Tuesday since I forgot my hat,,,and Thursday to legs since just started wearing shorts for the year,,,its hot here!!!

My feet are sore from standing on a ladder and climbing up and down all day on the high stuff,,,,and THIS time I remembered to lean step ladder against the house

Should get the siding back on west side today before I have to go back to work.

Next week and a half I get to house sit with a dog and cat to care for,,,and if I dont get home every 5 hours or so,,,accidents. Daughter and family going on vacation to Ca.

Kayak- can you get wider doors put in your new house to get around better??? That wouldn't cost too much. Is this house new enough to be drywall walls or old plaster???

Or would a narrower chair work better? How wide are your hallways? Or small scooter?

Tutu-You just KEEP your darn snakes. All ours are harmless garder snakes. as long as they are outside,in open and can be seen,,,fine. We used to have harmless bull snakes but haven't seen one for eons.

Kam- you got your car carrier for your chair,,,,yippee. Is that set up transferable to a new car when you win the lottery??? Fits on a reciever hitch? Or different mounts??

Don....so glad you are able to do all that home improvement stuff.

I am hoping the lift will transfer when I win the lottery. [Smile]

Kayak...i got confused just reading your post. But, then again I am easily confused.

Praying that all goes smoothly for the closing today and you walk out with the keys.

Tutu...sounds so exhausting trying to do things with painful feet.

jimmy....i have a bike taht I keep hoping to ride so it is fun to read about your bike adventures.

OK I'll need to catch up with the other posts later. Brain is fading fast now.

Can't seem to shake the blues (depression) this am. Trying to focus on the can do's instead.

I was able to drive out to the forest area and drive the car while Rosie stretched her legs.

Hoping to be able to do the laundry next.

Hot here now. I haven't been able to do much at all this week. Although I have gotten out of the apartment every morning for a short period of time so that is good.

I used the lift 5 out of 7 mornings.

I had forgotten how I am with the summer heat...most of the time I just have to wait the summers out.

Caregiver put clean, soft sheets on the bed when she was here this week. I am enjoying sleeping in my bed with the clean soft sheets.

Ah. The little things we took for granted before lyme and company. MCIDS? can't recall the initials on that.

I think 3 of those mornings were out in the forest in my power chair. That brought me joy and Rosie too.

The other two were short grocery trips.

Stress test on Monday. I just read the directions and it said I could be there up to 4 hrs. UGH.

Glad it's Friday. It's about 3 p.m. (almost quitting time) and I'm just waiting for happy hour! [Roll Eyes]

The plan...go to O'Charley's for one 22 oz. Shocktop beer and dinner or an appetizer then do my grocery shopping.

Didn't get to clean my house this a.m. like usual. Slept in instead.

Kayak-Glad you got your meds! Hope things with the house go smoothly. Keep us posted. [Smile]

TuTu-I was on snake patrol too while walking Rocky around the backyard. You got me thinking about snakes, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled. [Eek!]

Just Don-I copied and pasted Kam's post from last week's thread to start this one, just to get us started on the right foot. You sure are doing alot of work on your property. I sure could use a hand this weekend. My black lab Rocky fell down the stairs that go onto the porch so I'm probably gonna be building a ramp this weekend. Saturday I'm doing some chauffering for Mom and Co. so that leaves Sunday. Might be an all day job. Any tips you can throw my way for building a ramp over existing wooden steps? [confused]

Kam-Know what you mean about the heat. I'm finally starting to get used to it after 10 years down here. All that yardwork helped acclimate me I think. Summer's just started and I can't wait til Fall. Oh well, I'll just have to suck it up! [Cool]

Hope you all have a great weekend!

[hi]

i did it. i'm in. i decided to stay here tonight. a friend is letting me borrow a fold out bed. i need to get back to the mountain house to finish getting out and get the tenents in. but i'm gonna sleep here. its tourist season...a friday night and the beginning of motorcycle week. i dont need to be on the roads tonight.

my friends came over with flowers and wine. the windows are all open to get the stinky air fresheneer smell out. toilet works! fridge works! washer works!

omg...i am here in my flat house.

don---most of the house is open. you walk into dining room from carport.kitchen to left-6' opening. living room straight ahead. 10' opening. it is carpeted...i knew i would need to replace that...someone said there is hard wood underneath but im not sure. straight ahead is door to hall. hall is rectangle shape and has 5 doors going off it. 3 bedrooms...or in my case...one bedroom, one exercise room with sauna, and one office.

the bath is only 3 steps across hall so that will be easy and the bed willl be about 5-6 steps. for now that is ok.

actually the chair goes thru the opening to the hall so it would be less steps...it doesnt go into the bed or bath rooms.

i think i will be ok here when i get rid of the rug. at lowes i saw these sheets of vinyl with a backing on them. they might be for desk chairs over carpet...they might work at first over the living rug

thanks for the prayers...they worked! i am so happy...

Crikey, we just got home from the hospital. I was riding my bike to physical therapy yesterday and accidentally took a spill. Wha???? Third major fall in just a few weeks - two on the bike, and one just walking. Stoooopid.

Well, this time I fractured my pelvis. Reeeediculous. No bike for me for a while. I'm crutching off to bedrest and pills.

Jimmy1 down, but not out. Best wishes to you all.

Where is everyone??

I hobbled my way to church. My feet are suffering big time. Almost wish I hadn't gone, but then I'd have to go thru withdrawal! [Big Grin]

i have a room at the housse but at the end i was just throwing so much stuff in there i couldnt open my bed up...and i'm really tired...and motels are cheap here

so a rest tonight...i cant walk but 2-3 steps without the chair

the truck is packed...the big tv is tied into the passenger seat...etta somehow found a way to fall asleep in a little spot

i have to do a few things tomorrow and then will take a load down to the NEW house...and then...i guess back to load up again with little stuff. the big stuff goes sunday...
