The smoke is thick and blowing our direction. Keeping an eye on things for sure.

Oh, my!

Best of luck. Doing a rain dance for all in hot dry climates, especially those in the path of all these raging fires.

<<<<< Keebler and various Lyme Family >>>>>,

Its pretty bad, still a couple miles down across the valley from us, but so far Seven homes are on fire, and many, many more at risk. Three areas have been evacuated.

We are still here but watching, closely as we have winds twenty to thirty five mile and hour gusting this direction.

Last year they evacuated to withing a quarter mile of us, hoping it doesn't spread to the hills behind us again.

Will report in again later...

Hi there,

<<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,

It is smoky, which makes the dogs nervous, I cannot go out right now with this smoke. Haven't had any updates, but a bit concerned, one of the 'evac' families was looking for elderly relatives.

So far no loss of life, we are praying for them to get this under control quickly...and w/o injury or death to anyone,or any pets, or live stock! It is scary as some of the folks have horses and such.

There were deer cutting across the camera shots on one of the news report, fleeing this mess of a fire. Wildfires are so horrible...

More news later ...thanks for the prayers... it is unnerving right now... more planes going over spotting and getting fire retardent and such spread.

Jus' Silverwolfi

Gonna be a long night...

Hey <<<<< randibear >>>>>,

We heard parts of Wyoming it was bad, friends up there.

Some of the smoke seems to be drifting away, and a bit calmer. The Pic's they showed awhile ago, look like the fire is being gotten under control.

It'll take a few days for all the smoke to dissipate tho'. It is so sad for the ones whose homes were destroyed . And we are hoping to hear that all folk have been found safe.

I don't think we have to go anywhere until Monday,so I'll try to stay out of the smokey air as much as possible.

If the wind calms down that'll help too. We had a brief power outage about 2 hrs. ago, not good when keeping tabs on a fire situation. If that calms down it will help get that fire in check as well.

Thanks to all for the tho'ts and prayers...we continue to pray that no lives are/were lost. And that we don't get more fires or a flare up on this one.

Any changes and we'll update if we're able.

Jus'Silverwolfi and TxC' too.

Update : more smokey again, as they fight flare-ups.

It's over a thousand acres, 45% contained at this time, about a thousand folks evacuated, and at least at 20 homes have burned.

Red cross is helping, and the big Arena at ISU just up the road, and the newer high school down the road are open for evacuees.

Praying it doesn't get any worse or jump the highway... [I keep remembering last year when it got to the hill behind our trailer].

Trying to stay cool w/o getting smoke in our home. It is supposed to cool some this evening, they are hoping that will calm the smoke down too.

Well, we'll update again tomorrow...cause of fire at this time remains unknown...around 700 homes are threatened right now.

[Another fire closer to the Utah border also started today, it was caused when farm equipment hit a rock, throwing sparks into very dry brush and grass].

'Til tomorrow, w/ hopes of no more flare ups,or power outages...

Jus that Silverwolfi and TxC'too!!!

If you have a rife machine, do not leave it plugged in - or use it - if there is a chance of a power outage. The surges can fry a rife.

Good luck.

Thanks folks! The fires are just about out. Lots of damage and loss. We can still smell the smoke and probably will for a few days.

Still keeping the folks in Colorado in prayer.

Last update we heard was that 66 homes were destroyed. Have no idea what the $ damage is. It was something to see this whole community pull together.

Thank you all we really appreciated the well wishes and prayers.
