My daughter is having a hard time controlling pain. Currently on morphine but wants to get off it due to stomach issues. Phentenol patch made her nauseated.
Anybody have any good suggestions that we can discuss with pain doc tomorrow?

Tried Percocet, didn't help. Neurontin gave her bad shakes.
She has problems swallowing pills, anybody have any thought about methadone? I know that comes in dissolvable wafers.

Thanks Keebler, she's gluten free and is on curcumin when she's keeping food down.

Marinol, which is the thc of the marijuana plant. It really works, but side effects are dizziness and of course you are going to want food more often.
It does control pain.

- Glucosamine - at least one form of it (not sure about all) should not be used by those with lyme, according to the authors here:
[section] Carbohydrates Consumed by Lyme Spirochete
An effort to determine which carbohydrates Bb consumes revealed that the organism utilizes the monosaccharides glucose, mannose and N-acetylglucosamine, as well as the disaccharides maltose and chitobiose.
A popular treatment for arthritis includes the administration of chondroitin sulfate and N-acetylglucosamine.
If the arthritis is Lyme-induced, N-acetylglucosamine is contraindicated. 22 (See Chart 14.)
