So this Lyme brain fog is crazy! Apparently I FORGOT to put on my e-brake and left the car in neutral. Rolled half way down the street and was just chilling. My neighbor stopped by to let me know my car was in the middle of the street.

GOSH! How embarassing! Hate not having a brain sometimes!

Youza!!! Yes, embarrassing!!

One time our van got damaged in a wreck .. someone backed into us and we tried to put it in reverse .. so when they hit us, it messed up the transmission.

{We were stopped at a light and the 18 wheeler in front of us could not see us!}

We were able to drive it home and it was parked in our driveway (slanted toward the street). Thankfully, hubby had opened the passenger side sliding door. He was working on the car, but was in the garage when the van began rolling back and into the street.

I jumped into the van from the sliding door and stopped it.... but by that time we were across the street. It was at the back of the subdivision, so not much traffic. Whew!

'Course I could not do that at my age now!! Good way to get run over by your own van!! [Big Grin]

A few years back hubby pulled our car in the driveway. It was a manual transmission.

He did not put on the brake and it rolled down and into the neighbors yard.

Problem:
When I saw it start to roll down, I yelled out to him to stop it

But I yelled to him using my ex husbands name.

Good news he is hard of hearing and he didn't hear it!

A friend of mine told me her grandson was trying to drive a Mercury Marquis up an icy hill to her home and it started sliding backward. He got so scared that he bailed out of the car.

It crashed, of course. I think it was totalled.

Wow! That's awful!

And good thing for bad hearing! LOL

To top it off...we found out we lost a friend today. He was on a motorcyle hit by someone driving in the wrong direction. It's a sad day!

Has been a bad week considering I broke my toe, got a $500 cell phone bill, the car rolling into the street and now a friend lost. Yikes! When does it stop?
