Made 3 cups of coffee this am. Only got to drink one.

1st cup ended up on my bed. 3 hrs later realized I needed to pull the sheet and mattress cover off.

Able to clean up the stain on the mattress. Hurray!

2nd cup I think I drank.

3rd cup...I caught Rosie drinking it ...that made me sick to my stomach...she cleans her but with that tongue.

Able to do a couple sinks full of dishes and put one load away.

Able to take Rosie out to toilet via the power chair with warm gloves and hat...but face needed a full mask on it as my face hurt.

3 hours later, took Rosie out to toilet again via the power chair...I ended up heading to the thrift shops.

Went into one. That did me in...brain started fading fast...thankful I am OK when I cruising down the side walk in the power chair.

Monday-No exercise and boy oh boy I'm sick. After cleaning my house Saturday I noticed I was getting a sore throat. By Sunday my face was swollen and I've got one doozy of a sinus infection.

So Kayak, you were right, I was coming down with something.

Had leftover antibiotics from the last sinus infection and Mom gave me steroid nasal spray. Hope that clears this up.

So, I'm out of commission gang. [Frown]

well my main chore today was getting to PT and i did ... but not before undoing all the good he had done to my shoulder by reaching for the seatbelt-i usually get a hint there will be pain and stop. but no hint. didnt stop. and when i got to it man-major pain.

the exercixes i do now are taking some time. i got my 6 and 7th today. i taped them to the wall in the emtpy bedroom i painted the floor on -its supposed to be my exercise room-but have to do some sheet rocck work first...but this way i have a blank wall to lean on like im supposed to.

i woke up this morning very stuffed - sinus -for me that means mold. so i aired out house and took my mold meds aand by noon i could breathe.

i also cleared out some bathroom stuff cuz drain guy is coming and pulling toilet tomorrow...

after pt i ozoned the house and while it was working drove down to the beach to breathe. big waves. now im back and airing out the ozone...everytime i have to put the plants outside...so i wont be able to do this much longer.

the ozone isnt strong...but it worries me to have etta in here cuz she is so small...and small dogs tend to have respiratory problems. we are going to wrap up in a down quilt and sit where the good air blows on us and watch the country music show.. with the windows all open the whole neighborhood might hear us...

feel better ak. hang in kam.

Short outing thsi am to the field next door to let Rosie take care of business...via my power chair.

I saw venus next to a silver of the moon. That was cool.

Then got the look from Rosie a couple of hours later...drove her out to the forest to let her run in my robe and knee length coat...not up to getting dressed yet this am...movement hurts....

HOping to be able to take a sit down shower and color my hair...but been hoping to do that for quite some time now...just need to wait until health is at a bit higher level.

Also able to do a few dishes.

Looks like one of those days where I might be able to do something after 4 or 5 pm..we shall see.

Kind of weird...awhile back I had it in my head that if I had the money i would travel to CA to see a couple that are in their 80s and 90s.

I miss them.

but, recently...just going from the bed to the bathroom is doing me in.

Kam, I forgot to thank you for starting the thread this week.

Tuesday-I'm still sick as a dog. Had a rough night, hacking and coughing up all the sinus junk.

Quite a few folks here at work are out sick, so maybe something's going around.

Still out of commission and hoping I can make it through the work week. [Frown]

BTW gang, forgot to let you all know that I paid for the hotel in Anchorage that Josh and I will be staying at next summer.

I paid online yesterday and it sure felt good to accomplish something that I'd thought would never happen.

So, I've got the tickets and the hotel, now I just have to save for the rental car and spending money.

[spinning smile]

hope you feel better soon ak-i got up early to get ready for the rooter guy...so exercise was doing a lot of walking and lifing making him a path to where i thought he needed to go. turned out he had a big machine and my furniture was in the way so i kinda paniced but we got the machine in. the guy was really good. the drains were fine under the house but there were roots and other crud just outside the house. he worked 3-4 hrs i think. turned out we knew each other from-had to stop to do the math-about 45 yrs ago. now i know the pipes are cast iron and in good shape and not orangeburg...if don comes around he will know that is good.

so that is a huge thing off of me...sigh......of....relief.........

after he left i am doing some laundry CUZ I CAN!!!!! yea!!!!! and not much else. a little paper work...a little remembering the past. wow. 45 yrs ago. guess i really did come home...his sister-in-law was a friend of mine and she just lost her husband las spring and he kept saying you have to se her...we were just talking about you a few nights ago....wow...what a day.

That is just so crazy, Kayak!! I am so happy for you!! Now maybe this IS the right place for you! I hope life continues to go UPHILL from now on!!! [Smile]

AKL.. guess you have the flu... so sorry to hear!!! Take good care of yourself! So happy that you got the hotel paid for!!! Hooray!! [Cool]

kam... hope your day got BETTER as it went along. Let's pray that tomorrow will be wonderful for you!!

I had a nice day. Still in pain in my neck and my feet, but surviving. I went to my healing oils class today and I gave a friend one of my angels. She has been taking me to the classes. The angel has a "tag" on the skirt that says "Pray." It is special because we used to be in a prayer group together. She is nearly 80, but a very vibrant and special person.

I also made a special angel for another friend. She is giving it to her grandson's teacher. It has a musical treble clef on it. I need to make one for ME!!

I had acupuncture on Monday. It was VERY relaxing!!

Tomorrow I go to the podiatrist. Afraid I will get another shot. ugh.. But for lunch we will meet with some Lyme friends. We "sort of" have a support group. Only 2-3 of us, but there will be one lady's husband there to keep my hubby company and a friend of a friend too.

Take care, gang!!

ALW...good to hear you have something to look forward to and are making headway. [Smile]

Kayak..hurray

ALW>..sure hope you are doing better soon.

Tutu..sounds liek you had a good day

Caregiver was here for an hour this am. She vacuumed....new used vacuum from thift shop is quieter...I can't hear it witht he peltor ear muffs on...

..but it doesn't seem to be doing much as far as vacuuming the carpets?? They really need shampooing..ugh

...I also have clean sheets on the bed.

...The kitchen and bathroom floors really need to be done on ones hands and knees but making due until I am able to do this.

I keep trying different mops for the caregivers and still getting the same outcomes...it just seems to just move the dirt around.

..I forgot I wanted to try one of those steam mops next time...or maybe it was the cost that stopped me. I haven't tried that yet.

...Just moving from the couch to the bed is doing me in this am. I am OK if I don't move and just lie here.

..But, need to get up and get something for breakfast and take meds and supps soon and get some liquid in me.

...Past few days I have not eaten until after noon although I wake before dawn.

..system just can't seem to be strong enough to eat until then.

Wednesday-Still sick as a dog. Not able to eat since last night. Tried to eat dinner but couldn't manage it. Here at work just hoping to make it through the day.

Brought an apple and some miso soup so hopefully I can manage that later, and today's bagel day.

Might have to go to the doc and get stronger antibiotics if I get worse.

yum miso soup. I hope that helps.

Able to take a shower around 2:30 pm..lots of down time before that.

Able to wash the top of a plastic shelf thing.

Tried to wash top of Rosie's dog food container...both of the above have been bothering me for a long time so glad I finally was able to do something about it.

oh-u guys are not doing well. i know elderberry elixer in green tea seems to help me when i get a bug

kam...hope you get over the hump.

i woke late and planned a lazy day cuz altho yesterday with the rooter guy was great it did wear me out.

got the garbage out on time.

sat to relax and b4 i knew it my friend was here to take sink out of bathroom. it is in a nice cabinet that i am going to keep and make into a tv table or something...but i have to get a pedestal sink to encourage air flow and discourage mold. now i am ready to take up the nasty floor-clean and seal the slab and after putting floor back...put in the new toilet. i know it will be awhile...but i am going in the right direction.

after friend left i took etta to the back yard and pretended to chase her with 2 mud-buckets.

she loves to pretend to be afraid of me and run like crazy .

i hide behind the portable garage and jump out at her and then she runs all the way around and sneaks up on me from behind.

maybe 10-15 min on my feet and i was tuckered out. if the neighbors watch me they will think i am drunk...my balance is off and the quick turns make me side step. the PT brought that to my attention the other day.

i dont pivot anymore when i change direction...i step around taking 4-6 steps to get around.

i am working at changing my posture so i walk without looking at my feet-to stop my back spasms...but i dont see myself pivoting quickly anytime soon.

anyway-maybe i will get that rest in tonight altho i still need to do a set of PT exercises

did i tell u guys that on rootermans receipt there is a pic of him in a cape like superman...and he is unclogging a drain???? ahhhh. my hero.

Went to the walk-in clinic last night and boy am I glad I did. Got a serious sinus infection. That's what's been bugging me for a couple of weeks.

Had a shot of cortisone and am on Levaquin and steriod pills for 10 days.

Will cut out the exercise until off Levaquin because of tendon problems before.

Down for the count. [Frown]

i agreed to steroids thru the skin at PT 2 days ago and i have been getting worse and worse-both near the muscle they put it on and thru my whole body. i feel like i got bit all over again by a really potent tick ...i can barely get out of the chair and i am having trouble thinking...and i just feel like all of a suddent lyme is back everywhere...my knee my shoulder and honest to god for 1/2 and hour straight i couldnt stop the feeling i was getting electrical shocks in one nipple...notheing i did would stop it...and finally it did stop.

so-i did walk etta about 1/2 hr all together today -3 different walks...but my hip was clicking and my hip never clicks and i am just not right. i made 6 wrong turns getting to thebeach...

Kind of able to read the posts...i'll be back to read more..brain is not taking in much

If I wre a cell phone I would barely have a bar.

Eyes closed as I type this.
Able to get to the store and get some bayer extra strength ...the pruple kind that bayer just came out with. It helped last time.

Then, I purchased the worong bayer and that oen did not help.

So hoping the purple kind helps again.

Raining here . Snow 80% chance. I hope so.

Took Rosie to dog aprk for her morning business.

Then, t Basha's. Depressed as that is it for food this month as far as having funds.

Not able to get much.

Being poor and sick is getting to me. Need to focus on can do's.

Can do today will most likely be in bed again..at least I am able to watch TV depending on what it is.

Still wtg it out until I am back to lyme normal.

Enough rain it washed the cars in the parking lot. Hurray!

Still no excedrin extra strength on the shelves.

Got fixins for a green salad. Looking forward to that. I haven been wanting a salad for awhile now.

Did someoene mention salad! [lick]

Well, you might be right Kayak. I'm feeling kinda crazy today. More than usual! [Roll Eyes] Super hyper and not sleeping well and some minor cognitive stuff. Hope more doesn't get stirred up.

I used to take Levaquin before but I think I took twice as much. I'm taking only 500mg and I take it after dinner so I can still hopefully go to work.

TuTu-Oh no! I hope your feet get better real soon. When I was on Levaquin before it messed up my tendon in the bottom of my foot and it was the WORST pain. Please hang in there.

I think this week we're having to lean on each other a little more. You guys are my life savers!

kam.. I'm praying for angels to help you!!! Hang in there!!

AKL.. are you feeling better??

I messed up my neck again... was being dumb. Anyway, it's a bit more tolerable today, I think.

My foot is a "9" instead of a "10" .. Yesterday I had to take Dilaudid just so I could keep my dental appointment! It was SO bad. My foot is swollen. The swelling is down today.

That shot better work!!!

Grieving for the school children and their families. How horrible, how horrible. As a former elementary school teacher, I can't even imagine such a horrible thing happening to any school or to any children.

Devastated.

Exercise for today was scrapping off snow from car windows..then learning I locked myself out of the car and the apartment.

Hide a key for car was not to be found.

HIde a key for apartment was not to be found.

On my feet to check places I thought I had put the hide a key...then on my feet to go to the apartment above me and laid on couch as she made the phone calls to AAA.

Then back down ...barely..really struggling to be on my feet by then...made it to patio lounge chair and watched 4 or 5 people try and unlock car...

noise of fire truck running and large tow truck runnign was doing me in....

Dang...that is it for the morning..down for the count.

Phone skills were workign well enough I was able to call the locksmith guy in town and leave a msg to get key for car made.

They most likely will call back on Monday

Local businesses do not have the thing they need to make a copy of my car key.

Muscle soreness this am. Couldnt' figure it out...

But, now I think it is from being on my feet yesterday...only arms seem to hurt more than legs

..I used arms to help me walk down the hallways...had mittens on and put arm against wall and just slid it along to help

I did take Rosie out in the power chair. CAt is learning to go out when I take Rosie out. Pretty cool.

She stays by the house/apartment and then comes back in when we come in.

She runs to great us when she sees us on the sidewalk. She usually will only travel as far as the neighbors ....but the other day went all the way to the lobby door.

I need to use small power chair today to get around in the apartment. Not sure how that is going to wrok as far as getting dishes washed...since arms are hurting.

Don't know until I try.

I also would like to get some laundry done today...that is a power chair task...I think that is what I will start first...

First sorting....then rest..then getting down the hallway to the laundry room

kam if you pm me your email i will send you some videos...not great quality or long but they will make you laugh

snow started early. last nigt they said 3-4 inches. now more like 10. but it should wash away in rain tomorrow so i dont plan to shovel.

i had wanted to go out to atm to be ready for guy that is supposed to take bath floor out tomorrow...not sure if i will get there or not now.

snow is pretty and i have plenty to do inside.

got some exercise from 2-3 a.m. this morning-couldnt sleep but was able to pack up one extra room and move stuff out so we can do sheetrock and then i can use that room.

i coudnt do that for days and now i know it was cuz sewer gas was messing me up cognitively -plus severe eye burning and wheezing. i had been blaming it on mold and was so upset mold was back...but when my brother told me how to cover drains more and air out bath - and i went out in good air for a few hours - then i was much much better.

guess i'll try to start this day. horrible news. i used to live in the town the shooter came from. yuk. built my first house there. my oldest went to kindergarten there 35 yrs ago.(not sandy hook-the nh school)

sigh. what is happening to this world.

And now a lockdown at a church today in Newton?

Someone entered our church during the sermon today and it made more noise than usual. (they came early for the 2nd service)

I actually got a bit anxious and turned all the way around to see who came in. I think we need to have a gun ready. I really do.

years ago i thought i needed a gun cuz where i put in to kayak on the hudson was a remote area and there had been some rapes. everyone i knew said if it was a bad guy i wouldnt know it until he was close enough to take the gun away from me. these were trained marksmen telling me this. i think the stats prove them right. and im up here where bears come in houses...i do feel like i should have mace...but not sure about a gun.

but in parking lots and atms etc i am always looking around now. and try not to go out after dark to convenience stores...this world is really changing...
