I have had a follow up appointment to make for the cardio for almost a year now on my to do list so you post reminded me.

Able to rive out to the forest. Able to be out of the car for est 10 min with two rest stops....walked a differnt part of the forest.

It was good to be there...I was stressed and angry before going because health doens't allow me to do what I want to do when I want to do it. [Smile]

Neeed to focus on the can do's.

A different variety of birds in the forest...although I could not see them I could hear them.

Storm clouds moving in...maybe..time will tell...I sure hope we get rain.

But, I enjoyed the shadows and the lights of the clouds moving across the forest.

Found two of my small birds..a glass blue bird and a little sparrow like bird made out of something gray rock like the other day.

Put them on my bedroom window sill...so able to see them while I am lying in bed. They bring me joy.

Debating on whether to take excedrin this am or not...stomach was cramping again after being outo f the car for 10 min like it did last time..brain and pain was weird too.

Better now that I am lying here...so not sure what to do...rest or it looks like rest.

Ah yes the wind was blowing through the pine trees too...people were hugging their wraps closer to their bodies too as they were out on their morning walk.

Thanks so much TuTu for starting this week's thread. [Cool]

Sunday-Worked non-stop from about 9 to 7, cooking, cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, pedi/mani, etc.

Gearing up for tax season here. Won't have a day off until the 19th.

Monday-Up at 6 then got ready and took payments at my job from 7-12, now at the reception desk from 12-5.

They've already asked me to work more after 5 but I'm not gonna do it. [dizzy]

Gotta go get some coffee cause I'm falling asleep.

Tomorrow, my good buddies.

[kiss]

ALW....glad you are pacing yourself as much as possible at work.

Kayak...good progress with the food prep.

It is frustrating when we have to wait until our health allows us to do those things we want to get done.

Able to drive Rosie out to the forest to let her run while I drove.

It was dry when she was running but as soon as she got back in the car it started drizzling.

Pain in body...I need to make sure I take my meds today...I think I only took them once yesterday...if so feeling it today.

caregiver went OK today...I might just need to adjust to a person who isn't able to do as much as the last two caregivers I had.

She cleaned the bottom of the oven and put foil down....

Made the GF mac and cheese..I won't get that again...did not like the taste.

Vacuumed...I think the bag must be full as I could smell the dust when she was vacuuming.

That is about it. ..in an hour. Ah yes. Took out the trash.

Tuesday-So happy to read everyone's posts. It's a mini vacation for me here at the 'sweat shop'!

Very busy this morning but now at the reception desk things are more my real pace....super slow! [Roll Eyes]

Kayak-I don't know how I'm doing it. I was sore from Sunday but am feeling better today. I'm just trying to hang in there and earn some extra money for my upcoming trip. Hey, you do a whole heck of a lot too with that bad shoulder. After the tax project-the 19th-if I make it that long, I plan to crash that entire weekend. That's the plan.... [sleepy]

Kam-Did I read that you're doing some cooking? I'm coming to your house lugging my giant spoon! [lick]

TuTu-Have you started PT yet for that piriformis issue? How's it going? A friend of mine has the same problem (she's a runner) and goes to PT also. [Smile]

Manna-Glad to hear that your hubs is catching some rays and getting some work done. Sounds like a wonderful day! [Cool]

That's it for me for the day. Leftover chicken and zucchini cornbread dressing for dinner. No cooking, yeah!

[hi]

I don't know what to do about the piriformis. I don't know where to begin. It's bad.

Someone posted about doing prolotherapy for it. OUCH! I've had tons of prolo many years ago. It would hurt, I know! But if I got results....

The main problem is that my LLMD is now about 3 1/2 hours from me. He is the only one I'd trust to do it. Then there's the $$$$$$$.

Kam, What would you need to be able to lay outside?

My hubby designed a bench type bed made from plywood. The back & sides protect him from the wind, and its high enough so he doesn't have to get up from the floor.

He also has a lounge chair that can lay flat.

Seems the sun helps him feel better. The cats like to curl up and snooze beside or on top of him!

I stayed in my PJ's all day yesterday. Got dressed this am but it wasn't easy.

Wanted to get groceries but brain is not doing well enough.

DRove Rsoie to dog park first...she had fun bounching around...one other dog at tehe dog park this am.

Knew that I wasn't up to making it to the grocery store so came back home and am resting now....still hoping I'll get there...mayb eexcedrin will help??

I really need routine...brain and boy are not able to deal with even small changes.

My speakers on the computer haven't worked since my friend tried to fix things with my coomputer.

I think all that is needed is for me to be doing well enough to check the conneections but health is not up to i.

I also think all that is needed to hook up the printer is the cable and to put in the disk....but health is not up to that either and hasn't for over a month or two

Ok I wil stop rambling. Today's goal is to get food in me.

I also most likely will need to go to the bank again. It seems my debit card is not working again.

Last time it was due to BAsha's break in with their customer info. So, I got a new card.

I tried to use it to order vacuum bags on line last night and it didn't work...anything out of the norm is picked up by the system...which is a good thing....

But, when your health is so low functioning getting to teh bank is a chore in itself and not always do able when you want.

I am thinking if the bank card doesn't work when I try and get groceries, I will have the clerk write out the check and I willl scribble my signature.

Wednesday-Wolfed down half a bagel here at work before rushing back to take more payments.

Now I'm at the reception desk and working my regular pace....super slow.....yeah!

OK gang....I'm tired and hoping I can make it until 2013 tax season is over.

I think I bit off more than I can chew! [dizzy]

Hope everyone is doing great and will check in tomorrow.

another crazy day...woke up to the news there was an armed robbery at the deli around the corner where i often get milk

it happened about the same time i was coming home from buying my bathing suit...i hardly ever go out after dark and plan to keep that up

scary-too close to home-yet recently i heard NH is state with least amount of crime

only thing i did today really was go to PT-i posted about it in my back mri post

i like her and despite many communication problems with docs and hosp and tests i am just going to work really hard

at this point one doc thinks a pinched nerve in my back is causing pain and the other thinks my knee replacemnt has slipped

both agree water therapy to strengthen core will help and not hurt

have had mcs sx i think due to mold and my answer to that is getting the camper on the road ... but there have been complications. tonight the owner of the rv shop talked to me for an hr trying to help me understand what needs to be done and how to do it as cheap as possible so i will be safe

i honestly cant find my meds...i hid them...now cant fidn them and its time to set them up again for 3 wks

but i do expect to be able to sleep tonight so that is good....

taxes???? oh noooooo....

Thursday-I'm going to have to count eating as exercise until the tax season is over with.

They've supplied cupcakes and ice cream today here at work and trying to eat this chocolate cupcake without getting icing on me is like the equivalent of doing my ab video. [Wink]

Whatcha all think?

Kayak-Hope you find your meds. I hate it when I hide things like meds, money, etc. Usually I can kiss it goodbye. I hid $300 in a book around Christmas time but thank God I remember I put it in a paperback I got as a gift. [Roll Eyes]

Got a little more rest last night so feeling better today.

Glad I made it through the payment portion of my job today and now it's just the receptionist part. Yeah!

See you all tomorrow!

[hi]

kayak..praying you find your meds, etc soon

able to go to the grocery store and pick up food for the weekend.

able to take a sit down shower...

the plan is to take one at least once a week when the caregiver comes....so nice to be clean

caregiver worked out well this week. I need to send an email to the supervisors letting them know.

Same caregiver...she is just getting more things done. I am glad it worked out and I pray it continues.

I was able to put away some of the dishes she washed after she left and empty the cat litter pan....

it is out in the sun right now...hoping to wash it out and put clean litter in when able...

windows are open today. But, I have my down comforter on while laying here...it is a bit cool but I wanted to air the house/apartment out

I would not have been able to do what I did this am if I hadn't taken the excedrin...strange but it helps the brain work better for some reason??

kam.. woohoo on the shower! and yea on the caregiver!

AKL.. don't work too hard!

Kayak.. ask your friend to help you look for your meds!! You'll find them! In the future, get an index box of cards or a notebook and write down WHERE you put stuff. OK??

I am having a good day!!! I was in pain last night but was determined to go out with my friend who was going to take me shopping for jeans today. So this morning was better and I made it with a walker that has a seat on it. I didn't even have to sit as much as I thought I would!

We couldn't find any jeans that fit. I needed a size 4 and all they had were petite. I'm slightly taller than a petite. They sorta fit, but I hate when the jeans LOOK short when you sit down. (does that make sense?)

So, I bought a pretty spring jacket (navy blue & white with pink flowers), a pretty blue blouse with ruffles on it, a pink patterned T-shirt.. really cute, and a woven cotton sweater-type jacket. GREAT sales on all of it. I never buy full retail. The sweater jacket was a $68 item and I paid $8!!

Then we went out for lunch. Did I tell you I had a good day?? [Big Grin]

All I could do today was a short walk to the mailbox, and a couple loads of laundry.. Had to rest in between..

Gee, seeing what all others can do makes me feel so lazy..But this has been a bad week. I managed to go out of town to see granddaughter and my great-grans.. Knowing I would pay the price.. First trip I have taken in 11 yrs.. My husband drove of course ..

Hubby had a better day today....

He was out on the porch for awhile this morning.

Soaked his feet in a bucket of Epsom salt water - I got it ready for him & carried it.

Wandered out to the kitchen looking for something to eat!! This was a first in a long while! He just had no energy for any extra steps.

Had a little cranial work on his head - therapist said "his head felt happier" afterwards. He looked brighter too.

Good to see what all the rest of you can do too. Spring is coming - things will get better for all of us!!

OK Getting confused...but I confuse easily...trying to read your posts..

so going to try again one at a time

Manna...good to read your hubby was able to soak his feet in the epsom salts...I was just trying to figure out how I could get in the habit of doing this too....sitting upright for 20 min doesn't work for me so trying to find another way to do this....hoping I can slouch

Sitting in the sun sounds wonderful too...another thing I would like to get in the habit of doing too..er...laying in the sun is more accurate in my case....I need to drive somewhere in the forest and do this as I live in an apartment and people want to talk when they see me laying outside...the talking thing doesn't work for me

I so miss having a quiet back yard

Sounds like the cranial work is helping ....cool

phyl...so glad you were able to see your grands. [Smile]

Getting the laundry done is good to and walking to the mail box.

I can't walk to the mail box.

I am able to roll down the hallway to the laundry room and put in a load or two them head back to the apartment and lay down while I wait for the washer to get done...then head back and put the clothes in the dryer...I use a power chair for this.

My goal is to try and do laundry on Friday...but it is still hit and miss due to health.

And yes...a trip to see the grands would set me back too

Be kind to yourself.

Tutu..fun to read about your day. Yahoo!

Thrift shops are big here....mostly because it is a long drive to go shopping

YOu got your things cheaper than what they would have costed used at the local thrift shops. [Smile]

ALW...eating is good. [Smile]

Looks like it is getting light out now..time to get up and get dressed and get Rosie out to toilet.

Had power chair plugged in last night to charge batteries.....but it didn't work....caregiver had unplugged the other end.

So, need to plug it in again

So exhausted or ? can't think straight and get easily confused this am..body is very weak too

Resting now then hoping to do ? Need to figure that out...ltos of things on the list but know I need to figure out which thing to do.

Typing this with eyese closed and resting in between...i need to d oa better jobe of eating today...I have woke up around 3 am the past few nights..I think it is because I am not getting enough food i me each day.

Only had a tablespoon or two of yogurt yesterday and can't recall what I had for lunch..no dinner..too exhausted to eat

Ah I remember lunch now...I had a salad....put it together myself.

Kam, Does your power chair back recline? Or do you have a lawn chair that reclines?

We have a low lounge chair that my hubby sits in to soak his feet. The back reclines so he could rest while soaking.

He is getting better in being able to sit up for a little while now. When I told him about your problems with people trying to talk to you - he says 'Yeah, I understand!'

And he totally understands the not being able to sit up long.

Oh, and he does the sit-down showers too.

Kam.. thanks for helping me remember to try some thrift shops to find jeans. I may be able to find smaller sizes there. You never know. I've found them before. I may have to have my friends help me look for them as I can't drive yet.

PS.. I looked at my receipt last night and one of the other blouses (the ruffled one) was only $10. It was $60+ too. I saved more than $150 on 4 items! Better than a thrift store and better than WalMart! [Smile]

I was doing the foot in the shower. I sit down on a chair also. I've been having trouble sitting there due to sciatica, but yesterday even THAT was better!

kayak got accidentally banned .. we're working on it. She called me and said she's too busy to get on here right now anyway.

REad your posts then brain went so hoing to reply later.

DRove Rosie out to the Rodeo grounds this am which is close to home to let her out to run. Good news is the fneced in rodeo area fence was open so I drove around the stands while she ran.

I got in my power chair when I got back and took out some trash.

I also was able to write a letter re: my student loans...hoping to get that stress taken care of this time. It has been a 12 year concern/stress.

I have yet to have what it takes to address the envelope, find the envelopes and stamps and labels...too much for the brain this am. So wtg it out.

Breakfast next after I rest.

Hope Kayak is back on line soon.

Nothing so far today except to the bathroom.. This has been a bad week.. Its weeks like this I think I can't take this much longer..

For now I am on NO meds except for a few supplements. Guess I am good as I am going to get.. My doc says she doesn't know what else to do...Been 11 yrs with this and at my age, 70, I know I should be counting my blessings but oh is it hard when you feel so bad and so much to do..

So depressed but have snapped back before so hoping in a few more days..

Enjoy reading all your can and can't do..

[Frown] Not doing my Friday dance because I'm pooped!!!

Saturday and Sunday I'm working 12 hours each day taking payments before the April 15th deadline. Hope I can hang in there.

Kam-Happy to hear that the caregiver is working out. Also, I'm going to try and get more sunshine too this spring and summer. At least that's the plan. [Cool]

TuTu-You left one very vital piece of info out of your post........where did you do your shopping?!?! [Eek!] Those kinda deals are crazy awesome!!!!

Phyl-I can remember when a good day for me was getting out of bed and moving to lay on the couch and MAYBE fix something to eat. Course, I was alot thinner then.....hang in there! [Smile]

Manna-If I didn't have such a darn small tub I'd be soaking in some Epsom salts too. I was having craniosacral work done not to long ago but am not having it now because I'm working too much. Glad to hear your hubs is feeling better. [Big Grin]

See you all probably on Monday!

[hi]

So we unbanned you, huh?? So glad you loved the pool!!! [Smile]

AK... well, you should have this one in your state (?) .. It was Belk Dept Store. I usually save even more money at Kohl's sometimes. I'm a savvy shopper!

I had a pretty good day again. I got quite a bit done and hubby took me to the store. I told him that soon I would be able to just use the walker with the seat. I hope so!!

The wheelchair makes me HURT!

My feet hurt more today than yesterday, but I am hanging in there.

My stomach is bothering me, but oh well. I think I can handle it!

Need to go back and reread what you all are up too...teflon brain this am.

Took 2 excedrin because i wanted to be able to do a few things this am.

I did go to the dog park and saw two old dog park friends since 2005 and their puppies which are now old dogs that need pain meds...

Good to see them. Rosie acted like a pup bouncing from dog to owners ...she really likes being there.

I did talk to the two people...but am not doing so well now....hoping to rest and then get up and try to either do laundry or clean up in the kitchen.

I really want to get out of the house/apartment but need to wait until I am doing better.

One of the guys at the dog park has a friend here at the apartments. His friend told him about the guy with the knife who wanted to stab one of the other service dogs here.

His friend doesn't feel safe around him either so he walked her into the apartments when they saw the guy in his power chair with the knife.

I should have known the rumor mill would have alerted my neighbors. Glad it did in this case.

Did not like talking about it again.....stressful...next time it comes up...I will say I don't want to talk about it and change the subject.

Doesn't make sense to me but I stress easily now..I stay away from people that make my health worse.

i was hoping that stuff was over kam. i thought the guy left...i guess it was the one b4-drinking problem or something???

wow-what a day i had. it was too fast...too many unexpectedd things popped in...

and i did end up with pain in the night from PT...but the plan is for her to change my program a little

so-neightbor helped me with 2 PO things that for some reason are too hard for me

her husband tried to pull two old rhodadendrons out for me but his big truck couldnt pull them!!!

and another freind hung a mirror in my living room and fixed other stuff...i'm almost ready to take a pic of my (finally) finished new house.

and i did some laundry. and dishes.

and then etta and i sat out in the back yard for awhile and now i am about ready to crash.

im happy tho. i think this PT is going to help me.

poor AK...12 hrs work a day...hope everyione else is ok.

Praying the head stuff is gone and it hit the road and dont' come back no more no more.

It was tricky, but able to make a cup of coffee and a cup of detox tea this am. Resting now.

Hoping to make the lemon drink and get it down me today.

Difficult to explain but not doing well enough yesterday to make the lemon drink or drink for that matter.

When I am well enough, I plan on going to safeway to pick up some odwalla carrot juice...that seems to help keep the bowels flowing.

Maybe I will be doing well enough tomorrow morning...I hope.

Plan for today is to rest and eat and take meds and supplements and get Rosie out to toilet and exercise.

and get more detox tea in me
