Sunday-Had family over for Easter dinner and we watched movies. Had a wonderful time.
Rocky looked fabulous after getting his bath and nails trimmed. The groomer said I need to bring him every week for his super long Fu Manchu nails so that they can work on pushing back the cuticles and trimming the nail. They said it could take 6 months! Thank God it's free.
Kam, you're starting to scare me. We're on the same wavelength. I put in a Brita water filter yesterday too. Is that a huge coincidence or what?
Working 9 hour days, so not much time for exercise.
See you all tomorrow!

i didnt go on trip-had panic attack saturday morning...so not much easter for me. i basically slept for 48+ hrs...today i picked up a little around the house, walked around the yard maybe 10 min picking up branches, and stood at the sink giving etta a mini bath after our time outside.
im resting now cuz i really have to go out before its too late and get a few groceries...
im sad about not going...depressed about not being able to walk except for a few steps...and even then soooo painful
i do have to prioritze inc taxes now...and that is s sitdown job so hopefully i'll feel productive and feel better
ak-i cannot imagine a 9 hr day. hope you get back to what you want soon. glad you had a good easter.
i guess i need to go back to last weeks thread-i think i missed some posts

Have had a good day today! Hope I haven't overdone it. I've boiled eggs, washed a load of clothes and made quinoa with sauteed onions, carrots and celery. It was good!! (also fixed breakfast and washed dishes!)
My feet hurt but seem to be better. I found that I am low in the RIGHT KIND of magnesium (I think) .. and I switched from fluconazole to sporanox.
I'm wondering if the fluconazole has been contributing to my pain too... or maybe the sporanox is killing yeast so I have less pain.
Still working on figuring things out.
I ate my new sauerkraut yesterday and today and haven't died yet!!
kayak.. I sure hope you take it easy for awhile. You try to do so much!!
AKL... how's the foot?

did you just eat the saurcraut plain...like a vegetable? i like it on hotdogs!!! but its been awhile since i had hotdogs.
i meant to tell you last week i made my egg casserole and put in a cup of quinoa and i didnt really even taste it but i made 6 servings our of what would have been 4...it must have added protein, right?
i have to cook a lot tomorrow-its going to be cold so it will be a good day to cook
instead of rice and barley in soups i guess i could use the quinoa too...i'm slowly changing things
im a little confused about "the right kind " of mag

Well, I'm eating the sauerkraut (about 6 bites of it now) with meals. I'm working my way up. It's plain. It has cabbage and some carrots. I started out simple.
What is in your egg casserole??
Let me know how it turns out in soups.
I was taking 800mg of mag glycinate per day and tons of mag oxide. Now I'm taking 1200mg to 1600mg of glycinate per day. I'm also using mag oil on my skin and doing epsom salt foot baths.
I think what you sent me was pretty good.. probably need way more of it. When I ran out, I felt worse again.
I'll have to give you my recipe for quinoa.

OK Got on horseback and rode over to what I call the Healing Ranch (An abandoned Boys home).
Great ride. Great views. perfect weather.
Got back around noon. Went to eat at a great Mexican Food Restaurant.
Then went to get hair cut and purchase some shoes for summer that I can hike in.
Also purchased a gentled used van to transport my power chair and a gently used trailer.
Road trip next....see you all when I see ya.

Praying it is true some day.
Able to put two loads of laundry in. Wtg for one load to dry.
Drove Rosie out to let her run in the forest.
Kind of cleaned other half of dash board while we were out there.
New sign for the developement. 2 acres. 1 1/2 K
But, it did not say how large the home needs to be. Hoping they have changed that to allow more people to build.
Angry this am. New caregiver needs work. The only thing she did on the list was to wrap the yams in foil.
She was here an hour. She did wash dishes but I am not sure how clean they are yet.
And she did mop the kitchen floor...both were not on the list.
I told her that the most important things on the list was the food prep. She only did the yams.
Not good.
The last two people I had were able to do more than she is able to do in a hour...a lot more.
And they went by my list.
So, need to see what I can do about improving on things.
She comes again on Thurs. I will see about having 3 things on the list and see how she does with that.
Hope the fresh veggies have not gone bad by then....or I am able to fix them myself today...she was supposed to prepare the food last week and vacuum too and did not get it done.
Might need to see about going back to other company when they have an opening.

I need to be able to function a little bit each day.

Kayak-I'm sorry you weren't able to do your road trip this time. Maybe the next one you'll be up for it. Thought I'd send you one of these...
TuTu-I did the same thing taking the Mag Oxide until someone here mentioned what type to take. I take Super Mag from Vitamin Shoppe and this is what it has in it:
Kam-Count me in on the road trip! I'd love to ride but that's not going to happen. I've fractured my pelvis in 3 places and my tailbone. I can imagine riding though.....and as far as Mexican food.....it's my absolute favorite! Once you get the van stop by and pick me up too!

Able to feed dog and cat and give them water. Able to put dirty dishes in sink to soak.
Took Rosie out to toilet via PC of course.
Shaking in my boots now and not doing well..resting..then hoping to get dressed.
Also able to take the mag and probiotic w/goat's milk. Supposedly clean Glass I used had dried milk on the bottom...ugh...added it to the dishes in the sink.
also put racks back into oven that I took out yesterday...I'll need to wait until I am stronger to try and scrub them.
Wondered why kitchen floor is so dirty..guessing it might be because I took the racks out yesterday and also tried to clean up in the oven a bit.
A friend tried to clean the oven for me when she came to visit..she got a lot more dirt off..but used a paste with baking soda and something else as she knew chemicals make me worse
The paste ended up in the drawer under the oven...so I tried to clean that up yesterday...now kitchen floor needs mopping again.
next step is to get dressed...stayed in PJ's all day yesterday...put robe on when I took Rosie out to toilet.
Trying to not get so angry and just breath and wait things out until I am able to do a bit more.
I'd like to get groceries, put laundry away, clean up in kitchen, vacuum, mop kitchen floors and bathroom floors, clean in bathroom, get quarters for the laundry mat, call in med refills, pay rent, pay other bills, get printer working, get CPU to computer guy to see if it is fixable or not
get Rosie out to the forest to run
eat 3 meals and take meds and supplements...
I'll let you know what I am able to do as the day goes on....need to focus on teh can do's.
Also get netflix movie in mail box and see if I can get someone to get the streaming going on computer
Might just need to order ink cartridge for old printer for now
And I'd like to see if I can figure out why speakers on computer are not working.

got in the rocking chair this am to go down the hall..first thing I noticed is there was no joy stick
Got in the power chair and went down the hall...almost put rent check in outgoing mail box..but caught myself and put check in rent box drop off..whewph
Resting again....I think I will take some excedrin to see if that helps me be able to do a few things...I am in one of those push thru it modes which doesn't work most of the time for me with lyme and company..I end up putting myself in harms way..

Kam, I hope your caregiver does a much, much better job next time. I'd be pretty PO'd if I were you.
Have errands to run after work so it'll probably be a late night for me.

kam.. maybe you need to go back to the other person .. with fewer hours until they find you someone decent who can actually WORK. UGH!!
I went to my podiatrist today. My friend took me and she asked me when we got to town (the bigger nearby city) .. Are we going to the one where you have to have a wheelchair? I said, yes.
So . . my brain was STILL not working and we ended up at the wrong building!! We had been to this one a few weeks ago for my neurology appointment.
I got inside and decided to go to the bathroom and while I was in there I realized we were in the wrong place. DUH!!
So I called her on the phone (she dropped me off at the door) and she came back to pick me up. For some reason it had taken us longer than usual to get to town. So we had 5 min to get to the other bldg!!
She dropped me off and I went in and asked the helper at the door to wheel me down to "pediatrics." (thank goodness they have tons of wheelchairs and a helper or two) She said, Ok.. now WHERE did you want to go??
I said .. the PODIATRY dept .. Oh, what a brain I have!!!
So I got to the office barely one minute late. And .. he was running LATE. What a morning!
For now, we are doing nothing much for the feet. They are slightly better overall since PT, but not anywhere near where I NEED them to be!
(Can you imagine a podiatry office that is at least 100+ feet from the front door of the bldg???)

No heat waves this time or heart pounding...just exhaustion to the point I couldn't think straight.
Est 10 min in kitchen.

Did errands around lunch time. Had to get finger printed for job and had about an hour before they opened so ran errands.
Am working until 7 tonight to catch up on things cause computer was not working right.
Another late night but I'm counting my blessings.
After not working for 10 years I never thought I could work again so......I'm doing my work dance!
TuTu-I laughed reading your post! I use to go to the doctor on the wrong day and completely miss my real appointment. I still have word finding problems too especially when I get real flustered. Glad to hear your feet are feeling better!
Kam-Sure am hoping your caregiver will be more observant. Can be real frustrating when you're counting on someone to help out and they don't. Hang in there.
Well, guess I'm going to eat half of my sandwich pretty soon for dinner before I get started on my training.
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

Fun Friday....awhile back I had this idea of making it a point to do something that brings my heart and soul joy....even if it was a moment...on Friday's if health allowed.
So far, it has been more of a miss than hit.
But, I must admit it does bring me joy to have the funds to get groceries and the health..I was able to go to the grocery store this am.
I left without my power chair or my ear protection muffs.
But, I used the elec cart and had some hearo ear plugs to work...I am in pain now from the car but thankful I was able to get a few things and rememembered to get a roll of quarters for the laundry while I was there too.
I also kind of walked into the computer repair store while I was in that shopping ctr.
I could not hear most of what the guy said..but did catch they will look at the CPU for free
So next step is to bring in the CPU
Saw some blossoms while I was out...those are few and far between around here too
Several people including me had running noises due to allergies...I have got to get in the habit of having a kleenex with me
Resting now....if I am doing well enough I will bring the CPU in...if not...then next week hopefully.

Friday dance time!!!
No exercise yet but am gonna try after the 15th.
My nephew Josh is coming to my job to pick me up and we're going to Aprilfest!!! Craft beers, music and appetizers. It's at the same place as Octoberfest and the venue will probably be very similar.
Looking forward to spending time with Josh.
TuTu-You knew one of us was going to laugh about it. You can't help but laugh when it brings up such fond memories of your own.
Kayak-Wow! That is some fancy cell phone. Mine is just a regular phone, no I-phone or anything like that. I'm jealous! BTW, congrats on your daughter's upcoming graduation. You must be so very proud of her. Also, changing the subject, am hoping and praying that you sell your house. I checked it out on the website you mentioned. Cute!
Kam-So glad you joined me in dancing. Don't know how long I'll be able to work but am celebrating almost everyday. Speaking of printers, I had to get rid of mine. It wasn't working right and my ink kept drying up. I don't use it often enough I reckon.
Hope you get to do something on Friday's again Kam. I usually go out on Fridays but mostly just by myself. Kinda awkward but am getting more and more used to it. We've got to celebrate when and where we can.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and will try and check in later on.

see...i know my phone has that little android guy...but i dont know if it is an iphone
my tablet also has the android guy...but the phone just goes online wherever i am and the tablet doesnt
i guess i can watch tv but i am afraid i might get a 500$ bill or something...
i think i start water therapy on monday. have to find a suit.
also-2nd opinion back doc agrees with water therapy plus any other back exercise i can do. he says my back is a mess with many potential problems...but surgery wont help and exercise is the best thing i can do. so i plan to have that start monday.
because my leg still hurt he decided to do one more xray...it is possible i have a stress fracture or sort of a pre-stress fracture. no crack in the bone but lots of inflam all around it.
the bone scans i had done in jan should have shown that...but the guy who read it didnt look there.
so i have another appt to go to the knee doc...it does look like the one artificial knee may have slipped out of place...and then my limping on it might have made the lower leg so sore
but the hosp that did the scan is not affiliated with the doc that did my knees so there is a problem with them reading the scan...so i will deal with that next week too
something in that ramble must have to do with exercise....

kayak....yes ...I see exercise in your rambling...and it wore me out just reading it...
..so sorry...looking forward to when the dust settles and instead of dealing with docs you are able to go to be in the great outdoors.
A friend gave me her old adroid. I too am concerned about using it because I am not sure what will add to the bill and find that sometimes I have reception and other times I don't.
Mostly I don't due to brain not being able to be on the phone. It is exercise for my brain when I need to be on the phone and wears me out as if I had run around the block physically.
Cat therapy this am. Not a happy camper with the cat lately...but I know it is because health is lower functioning than norm.
I put her out last night as she was having an olympic sport on my bed since spring it...she would spring across my bed while I slept from around 3 am ? until I finally woke up enough to put her out at 5 am.
It was good to sleep until 6 am this morning.
She is crying now as she wants back out. She goes in and out about 3 times or more in the morning.
I need a cat door or someway for her to let herself in and out.
The only way I can think of is taking the screen off my bedroom window then leaving the window open enough for her to go out.
I tried getting the screen off but wasn't able to without bending it...
Not sure I want the window open either like that.
Waiting until the brain clears up a bit this am then planning on getting dressed and getting Rosie out to toilet via the power chair.
Hoping I can do some dishes and cut the acorn and butternut squash....it is rare I can do this.
I would like to put laundry away too.
I know I will be able to take Rosie out to stretch her legs in the forest. I don't know until I get there if I will be able to be on my feet for 5 min in the forest myself.
Need to get up and take some excedrin to help.
I also hope to pick up the refills at the pharmacy...that is usually do able as the pharmacy is across the field from me.
I go in my power chair. Need to go in the am as they close at noon on Saturdays.
Both power chairs need something put back on them when I am able to get to a auto shop ....just missing bolts taht must have shook off while I was out.
Had a bad dream last night...so wtg for the cobwebs to clear from the dream too....starts the day in a bad mood and I am exhausted from the dream as if I actually lived it. ...which I kind of did with a few stage set adjustments
...Good news is I had my MGB back in this dream and was enjoying driving it with the top down.
Thankful my brain is working well enough to at least think of things I would like to get done this am.

Ah yes. yard sale season has begun. When I was out in the car yesterday morning I found the car following 3 different yard sale signs...
I don't know where the car got that bad habit.
I just cruised by the yard sales...I wasn't doing well enough to get out and look around.
Guessing on my trip out to the forest I will run into more yard sale signs.
I like it when my brain is workign well enought o follow those signs and find new areas in town I haven't seen before.
I saw a house yesterday....kind of a log cabin type of house that I liked...it was a moving sale.
I could see that kind of home on the 2 acre lots in the forest that I visit almost daily now to let Rosie stretch her legs.
I could see me living in it. Lots of outdoor covered porches.
Need to find a different place to put the cat food. I have only been able to find one place that Rosie can't get to.
But, then then cat likes to walk across me coming back from eating the food while I lay here in bed.
She is giving me teh look letting me know she is ready to go back outside again.
This cat therapy is getting old lately. Like I said..it is OK if I am up and about but when I am fogged in....I am not happ with the cat.

Phone kept ringing yesterday as if someone was calling and then hanging up then calling again.
Looks like I have a mesasge...this is the closed caption phone that is right next to me on the bed.
Also hoping my brain is doing well enough to check those messages sometime today.
I rarely am up to answering the phone and it seems when I do it is a telemarketer or a recorded speech for some kind of survey.
I hang up as soon as i get the gest of the call. A telephone call can set me back

I have been getting phone calls from the previous person who had my number for years now.
I finally was able to get off the list of some of those people who were calling...I think it is people trying to collect money he owed.
It felt good to be doing well enough to answer the phone long enough to tell them I was assigned his old number.
I think he was a building contractor as most of the calls had to do with local building supply places.

Saturday-Josh and I survived Aprilfest. Josh had a really good time. Being a young man, he got involved in a drinking game with some grad students.
We had coffee though before leaving.
We're getting ready now to go to Angel's Antiques (one of my favorite store's). We'll be there for hours!
I'm gonna count that as exercise.
Kayak-I think Josh has an Android from Verizon. I'm not very phone savvy since I have just the plain one. Hope you enjoy it!
Kam-Cat exercises count in my book! Taking care of our animals can be quite the job.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Exercise the rest of the day was from the bed to the bathroom...or from the couch to the bathroom.
Thankfully the cramping has stopped....not sure if I want to try and eat..it seems once I eat it starts up again.
So weak it takes a lot out of me to go from pt a to pt b.
But, this is manageable..we all have had much worse and some are having much worse.

Ugh, kam!! Stomach cramping?? Hope it lets up soon.
I never cut my butternut squash. I just cook it in the oven and then cut it. Very simple!!

Whewph...heart is pounding as I lie here but I finally was able to get Rosie's cover to her bed back on...a very good thing as the bed needs stitching...the stuffing is coming out.
Actually, I need to get her a new bed when the budget can afford it.
Got Rosie out to toilet via the PC
Feed Rosie and Mia
Filled sink with hot, sudsy water and dirty dishes.
Resting now, then hoping to do some dishes.
Saw one of the new neighbors while out...he was standing on his patio toileting his small dog.
Put cat out last night again before bed time. Able to sleep in until 6 am again...this is a good thing.

Tutu....I will try that with the squash...I am able to cut the yams after they have been cooked in the oven so I assume I might be able to cut the squash.

OK...so do I put the acorn and butternut squash in the oven whole on the rack....cook for how long at what temp?
Thx
Able to do some dishes this am via sitting in the power chair at the sink.
Still more to do ..resting now..then I will either put a coat over my PJ's or see what I have to wear and get dressed to take Rosie out to the forest to let her stretch her legs.
Able to move teh reuseable grocery bags from the chair they have been in for weeeks/months to the handle of the outside door...hoping to get them in the car next.

Headed out to the forest this am but kept on going on the highway...engine was able to go faster than 20 mph for a short time....almost 65 I think
..turned around and stopped at a new gas station near home...that one seemed to work better...I did not need my ear protection muffs to cut back on the highway noise..and I actually heard birds singing
Drove thru rodeo grounds across from gas station..let Rosie out to run while I drove...there are more improvements going on...more water lines put in...some electric boxes ...and the black rocks mix used for asphalt along with other dirt...
some of the black rocks were in one area
you can't drive in teh rodeo grounds when it gets wet...it is a clay like dirt and will suck the shoe right off of you...I know from first hand experience....
cars get stuck too
so looks like they are doing what they can to fix that without actually paving the area
People park with their trailers and horses and campers and porta poddacks during rodeo events over night.
Rodeo events have been called off during monsoons in the summer time as the rodeo rink is not useable....
...I don't think they can do anything about that yet
Good morning...able to do a few things...9 am now..most likely will need to veg the rest of the day
but I am hoping I will be able to put away some laundry and the dishes...I dont' know until I get up and try...brain hurts while on the computer this am.

- It comes out soft as butter.. basically you just peel it.
