It turns out the "surgery" was to remove the port she was using to administer abx for lyme.

- It's just an alternative med place. Things that help support your body. It's not a cure-all place for Lyme.

- Exactly. NOT a treatment center for lyme. However, some of the liver & kidney support measures - and other supportive methods can be helpful.
Still, if they do not understand and acknowledge the SCIENCE OF LYME and all that goes with it a serious gap can occur if those with lyme are not ALSO remaining in consult with a LLMD (who knows about support methods) or LL ND (naturopathic doctor) who is trained in this area. -

- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct / support methods:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches.

BODY WORK links with safety tailored to lyme patients,
& WHY you need an ILADS-educated, Lyme Literate Doctor (whether LLMD or LL ND, or both) -

Good suggestions Keebler as always. She will also need ANTIPARASITICS either PHARMA and or HERBS and salt/c to get well and a Dr. K. ART practioner that's familiar with parastilogy.
Maybe someone could tweet that to her somehow. I tried bu didn't see the message.

I read a little bit about the clinic.
Sounds like they know their stuff, but I think some sort of antibiotic is needed.
Maybe they are using antibiotic herbs. Not clear on that.
They seem to focus on getting rid of the biofilm and enhancing the immune system.
They focus on the person's DNA, immune bio-markers?, genetics, biofilm, restoring the nervous system and immune system.
It says that the immune system is the tail-end of the nervous system, so the nervous system has to be healed to restore health.
Anyway, it sounds like it would be good at some point in our treatment, but I bet it is a very expensive clinic.
