I'm up super early today so thought I'd start this week's thread.........

Still to early to exercise so doing a load of laundry.

What kind of shaking and baking can you do today?

GM ALW. Thx for starting this week's thread. Wtg for my brain to clear up a bit and then hoping to drive the 3 miles to the trail head and let Rosie have some off leash time.

She wants to go now...she is feeling her oats this am.

Ok, instead of exercising this a.m. spent 2 hours on the phone with a friend that I haven't spoken to in 8 years.

I consider it a morning well spent.

That's awesome! I called a friend that I had taught with 40 yrs ago. I know I had not spoken with her in 30 yrs. She had an unlisted number and finally went back to listing it.

We had a great talk about 3 months ago. I need to call her again.

I've found several friends recently and it's so amazing how we just picked up where we left off! I used to carpool with this one teacher and we hadn't spoken with each other in about 30 yrs. I better shut up .. this makes me sound like I'm old or something! [Big Grin]

Ahhhh....does that mean that talking on the phone can't be considered exercise? I thought we were working our jaw muscles with that one. Dang... back to the drawing board.

Today was another slow day for hubby. He seems to be sleeping more since he is taking supplements for the MTHFR.

This weekend was the time to increase the amount he is taking. That slowed him down even more.

See you when you feel better, kayak! Glad you got the kayak! [Smile]

Hope your hubby feels better tomorrow, manname!

I ate too many carbs over the last few days and now my feet are painful again. Not sure if it's that or a supplement I went back to taking.

I'll stop both and see what happens!! AARRRGGHH!

How's kam this evening?

I taught my 6 classes today--mainly sitting down, went for a 15 minute walk after work and pulled a gadzillion dandelions. I refuse to spray them. At this rate I should have them all out of my lawn by 2035.

HA!! Someone posted on FB about how to get rid of dandelions naturally. I'll have to see if I can find it for you.

Salt maybe?

How about making some dandelion tea? I just bought some! [Wink]

Good to see you Hiker. Good to hear about the classes and dandelions.

If I run across that post about using natural products I post it here.

Tutu....I hope stopping both helps.

Brain is fading so I'll rid the other posts later.

Able to feed dog and cat. Take Rosie out to toilet. Make a cup of detox tea. Very weak this am.

So back down resting laying down of course. Hope to get back up and ? (Something that moves my body for me....like the car or power chair.

lpkayak, Driving in the car can be soooo exhausting and down right painful. I'm glad you got some sleep. Prayers and positive thoughts going your way for your serious decisions.

Manname, I know this has to be so hard on you to watch your husband struggle through all this. I know that any time ANY med was changed in my system, it would toss me for a loop. Never fun. I'm sorry.

Lymetoo, It's amazing how something like a change in supplement or a diet change can change how we feel. I hope your feet are feeling better.

Hiker, Wow...look at you go. Pulling Dandelions has to be exhausting and would even be tough on the back for a 100 percent healthy person. So wow! Good job. I admire your spunk.

Kam, Each little step gets us one step closer to that feeling of accomplishment. Just wish it weren't such a roller coaster ride. You mentioned feeding a dog AND cat. I remember Rosie. When did you get your cat?

For me...I'm playing lazy for a few days. As I think I mentioned, once knocking my lyme in remission, I found a way to get a lung fungus (not related to lyme or atibiotics).

I have my next CT scan tomorrow to see if the fungus has grown or is shrinking this time since we have maxed out my treatment dosage to as high as it can go orally.

Because of the Lung Biopsy, my LLMD did toss me back on 3 abx/babs lower dose meds to try to keep the stress of all of this to not bring the lyme roaring back. Lyme symptoms crop up off and on, but the big difference is that they are short lived.

But due to the lungs...I've had to slow my life back down again. Hence more time to keep dropping by here?????!!!!!????

It really has been nice catching back up with so many of you.

What?!? It's only Tuesday?!? [shake]

I'm so tired already. Can't wait til Friday.

I didn't exercise today and tomorrow I have to get my teeth cleaned before work so looks like a no go that day too.

TuTu-My friend has an unlisted number also and just like you, we picked up where we left off. She's had breast cancer. Needless to say I was pretty choked up about it, listening to her, made me realize how much I've missed her. I can't wait to see her and reconnect.

Tdtid-Talking on the phone should count as exercise! I count lifting my fork when I'm eating. [Big Grin]

Kayak-Not only am I thinking about you and hoping for the best, I'm sending you one of these......... [group hug]

Manname-I sure hope your hubs starts to feel better soon.

Hiker53-I've been using weed and feed around the trailer so that part of my yard looks ok. Forget the rest of it though. I might try that vinegar water idea that TuTu was kind enough to post for us.

Kam-Good to read that you're up and about and getting some things done.

Hope I get more spunky as the week goes on. See you all tomorrow!

Also was able to work a little bit in his office!

Glad for the sunshine after two rainy days.

i'm really tired but had to stop by and say thanks for the prayers.

i'm pretty sure they got here because after struggling for a week about whether or not to trade cars...second time in 6 months...not ususally a good idea...i got down to the nitty gritty and at the last minute...after both sides had given and taken a little...there was a mistake and i was going to have to come up with $600.

i told them i couldnt-there was no way...i was nervous about the changes already...

i didnt try to get them to go down in price or anything...i just apologized and started to get ready to go...

and theres a big pow wow (this is where the prayers made there way up here i guess)...cuz they just decided to drop the price that much so i didnt have to pay it.

so i have a new car that will be safer for me with the camper...but there are still many decisions to make in the next few days.

so thank you...and just kinda keep me in the back of your mind for awhile

ps-exercise??? a lot of standing and walking and waiting etc...missed PT cuz of this but will go back thurs

Lymetoo, After they got the first report back on my lung biopsy and said "fungus", obviously my first thought was that it HAD to have come from all the ABX I had been on.

They spent 3 more weeks sending a piece of my lung to different labs to see what it was. It came back as Histoplasmosis. This is from something you inhale. Not abx.

Since I had been in Costa Rica a few weeks before this, they feel it was related to that. But I certainly felt it was going to come back as candida.

aklnwlf, Hopefully today will be the day your spunk can start back up. It really runs in cycles for me. Never when I NEED it. HA.

MannaMe, Glad hubby is able to get outside for some fresh air on the patio. Hope your sunshine will continue for awhile.

lpkayak, I know that when ill, even TINY decisions are hard to make. I hope you can get all things resolved.

Kam.....thinking of you.

Able to catch up with some of the posts. Good to hear you got your kayak back kayak. [Smile]

And that your hubby had some time outdoors and in his office manname.

Cathy so good to hear from you.

ALW...hump day....only two more get ups then it is Friday.

OK brain if fading...need to read the rest later.

Ah yes. Talking on the telephone and eating is exercise..at least for me.

Brain exercise which wears me out as much as if I had walked in the forest for 5 min. I usually can not talk on the phone.

And the past few times I have had short coversations with neighbors the inflamed brain hit .....so avoiding conversations verbally all together for the most part.

Kayak, That is wonderful! They hate losing a deal and they knew you would take it if the price was right! Thank you, God! Hope it works out well for you!

Cathy.. thanks for explanation. Hope it's all OK now??

kam.. Take care today. I hope you have a good day!

I'm off to a pulmonologist to see if maybe I need to have a sleep study. I don't think I do, but my cardio says to check it out.

well...it was a drama filled morning because of communication problems at the dealership. i wont go into details...but i really did think i would have a heart attack over it. i just got the call that all is fine so i can do step 2 this afternoon and hopefully step 3 on friday. tomorrow i have PT and a conferecne call with WC lawyer...that i dread.

after that i think i can take my camper to the beach and breath the good air i need so much

cathy-i was so afraid of histo back when i was sick in the school building. i found out about it cuz the attic of this school had over a foot of bird and bat poo in it. there was a lot of illness in the school so they hired someone to clean it up but it was done wrong and it got into the ventilation system...so i got sick any time the heat or ac was on.

i ended up with a pulmanologitst but the testing never suggested histo...even tho it is common from the combo listed above. it is common in so america when both animals hang out in trees and then below the tree gets contaminated

i sure hope you can beat this cathy. i was so happy when i knew i didnt have it-but i still had breathing problems for many years...and now am ok as long as i stay away from all kinds of things...smoke, chemicals, mold, perfume etc

KAM...cute! the kayak reference.

Lymetoo, Good luck with the pulmonologist. Please let us know when you know something.

As for me...I went in today for my next CT scan. Last one said it was still growing, so hoping this one will have it showing shrinkage. So I'm in "wait and see" mode.

Kam, GET REST. I find that these times are when our body is talking to us and yours is saying "give me rest". Hang in there!

lpkayak, Sounds like a mess with the mess in the heat and AC. Yikes. To be honest, I had read so much about the Mold people are finding in houses and how our already messed up systems from Lyme have even MORE trouble with it. But I was reading just for knowledge.

And even in that, I had never even HEARD of Histoplasmosis. Since many people can inhale this and they can knock it out of their own systems in 3 weeks, it's only when you have the immune system out of whack that it gets crazy.

The irony is I have to see an ID doctor for the fungus, but yet since Lyme can't cause my immune system to be compromised, it's just been a tough run around. But it will work out.

I do hope you can get everything resolved with the car. Life is hard enough without these other little things going haywire.

Wednesday-No bagel for me today. [Frown]

Had my toofies cleaned today so I can grin and bear it until Friday. [Big Grin]

Also another day of no exercise.

MannaMe-Wow, that's great that the hubs felt well enough to do some work. That's a wonderful sign. Hope he continues to improve!

Kayak-You and I are twins this week. I talked with a mechanic yesterday about a 2008 Suzuki SX4 that I looked at over the weekend. Needless to say he said to keep looking....I hope that things continue to improve in your life and am sending good vibes and a (((hug))) your way!

Tdtid-Never heard of histoplasmosis, but hope you continue to get better. I was told I have Mycoplasma and have had lung issues forever so I sympathize with you.

Kam-I know what you mean. Sometimes talking is tough for me too. You'd never know it cause I love to talk but sometimes I can be redundant and super hyper. I must drive my family nuts!

TuTu-Why the pulmo? Lung problems?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Akinwlf, Mycoplasma is a co infection for Lyme. Histoplasmosis isn't really lyme related. It's just what seemed to hit me due to the weakened immune system from the lyme. But no...not something you will hear much about on this board.

Tutu...thinking of you and wondering how the apt is going.

Hubby was out in the sunshine awhile this AM. This afternoon he went out for a short time.

Wasn't feeling so good this afternoon. Said his head feels "off". Needs a cranial - got one scheduled for tomorrow.

Soaked his feet in a bucket of Epsom salt water - hope it pulls some of the toxins out.

Went to bed early tonight.

Hope you can buy the vehicles you need aklnwlf, and kayak... Its so nice to have something reliable to drive.

"see" you all tomorrow! Sleep good tonight.

Able to drive Rosie to the Rodeo grounds and finally check to see how far it is from home...

.5 miles...this is good

Icy wind out this am. Rosie did not want to get back in the car...she was having great fun stretching her legs

..I was on my feet long enough to get her away from the fresh horse poop she was taking a bite out of

...It seems I have to be close to her when I give the command drop it....

...more difficult moving this am than yesterday morning.

resting now then I'll come back to read some of the posts.

Thursday-20 hard minutes on the stair climber, ab, arm and leg workout.

Went to co-worker's farewell luncheon. Ate too much fried shrimp, coleslaw, fries and hushpuppies.

Counted inventory, handed out mail and stocked the breakrooms and now sitting just to answer the phones. Yeah!

My company has a job opening for a full-time position. Am thinking about possibly applying for it. Worried if I can work full-time and do all my other stuff.

Tdtid-Thanks, I did think it might be a co-infection. Hope you get a handle on it.

MannaMe-I didn't know that soaking your feet in Epsom salts might draw out toxins. I'm gonna have to try it. I used to do the Detox Foot Baths but can't afford them any more. Thanks!

TuTu-I must be brain dead. I didn't see a report on that post. Was it from the trazadone? Is it 5 o'clock yet?

Kayak-Glad you have some help with that upcoming phone call. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hope it goes well.

Kam-Rocky does the same darn thing! I hate it when he eats poop. Must be his favorite food group.

See you all tomorrow!

[hi]

here ya go .. AKL:

Regarding my apptm with the pulmonary DR...

"At least I hope we are on the right track. I've taken trazodone for at LEAST 10 yrs. I've had issues with my heart for 13 yrs... Dxd with A-fib 5 yrs ago.

I was referred to a pulmonologist to see about a sleep study because I keep waking up in the night with tachycardia and/or A-fib. My cardiologist said I may have sleep apnea and that can cause heart arrhythmias.

OK...

So the pulmonary guy tells me that traz is notorious for causing heart arrhythmias. HUH?? Why didn't my cardio know this? I even asked about it once.

He said that because he has more experience with this drug HE was the one who would know. (probably so)

So we are changing one med and tapering the traz.. then will add something else to the mix.

I'm excited to finally find this out and I wanted to warn you guys!" [about trazodone]

Manname, Interesting about the Epsom salt foot soak. I know I took oohhhh so many Epsom salt baths to detox. But would have been nice I could do that with just the feet when I had the port and couldn't soak in a tub.

Lymetoo, <sigh> Good luck on the home sleep study. I'm sorry you are having to go through any of this.

Kayak, When it rains it pours. Enough is enough, huh?

Kam, Rosie sounds like such a character. Not wanting to get back in the car since she loves being out really shows you that she has a mind of her own. HAHA. But I'm sure when you are worn out and want to go home, you don't want her having that mind. :-)

akinwolf, Ahhhh....all that eating at a co-workers farewell luncheon sounds kind of nice actually. I love food I don't have to make myself. HA.

i slept good...woke up early...did all kind of stuff for the lawyer. he was an hr late calling. my sil had to go fly his plane. hes a marine. so it was jsut me and the lawyer...i had waited 4 weeks for a 30 min appt and he was an hr late and said he didnt have time to talk...

make another appt...

i stressed over this so much

then i had a new PT person...she had me do new stuff and i had no pain in my left knee when i started but now it is real bad. and the right was bad and is worse.

even my hands hurt from the water pressing on them

but i havent had time to pour my supps so i dont have them all in me.

the car dealer followed thru on what they were supposed to do so that is good.

if the rv repair guy does his part...i will bring the camper home tomorrow and be very happy.

i have done a lot of extra walking and standing these last days-but it is not healthy exercise for me.

etta's loosing weight! the winter weight she gained from not getting out. she looks slim and trim. she loves to run and jump in the yard...and dig...and then she conks out at night.

i hope what ever they did to me in PT gets better not worse.

Able to make my bed this am and get dressed. Took Rosie out to toilet. Burr. Cold out.

Resting now, then ? a bit shaky and off and weak but what else is new...i think i will be OK as long as the car or power chair moves my body.

New caregiver picked up two coconuts yesterday when she went grocery shopping for me.

They were not on the list. Go figure?? Kind of a good thing if she can cut them open.

Able to pick up a few groceries with a few snafu's.

Got to store and recalled I forgot my purse.

Went back home. Got purse.

Got to check out and check debit card was not in wallet. Able to go to plan B but it bit of a panic set in.

Found check debit card in a pants pocket. Whewph.

Used elec cart in store of course.

Good news. I need to reread the handwritten note but it looks like I will be getting medicare A and B in 30 to 60 days.

I do think there are some docs who are lyme literate who take medicare.

Trying not to get too excited but I am almost in tears from relief after 12 years with the hope I will finally get the help needed.

Able to drive Rosie out to the forest and sit a bit...est 5 min. I really need something to take my mind off of how i feel when I am there...even if I am lying down.

Body is in too much pain to just sit or lay.

Let Rosie run a bit while I started to drive towards home.

She went down into a gully and was there for too long. So, I got out to find her....she was eating human poop this time.

Hate that smell. Yuck. This also means i most likely will be getting up in the middle of the night tonight as she will have the runs...

I also drove by a few yards sales and was on my feet for the first two. Intersting things but nothing I couldln't live without.

Kam.. why haven't you qualified for Medicare before?? That doesn't make sense because you've been disabled a long time.

I'm SO EXCITED that you will be getting Medicare now!! and an increase in income... woohooo!!!

So strange .. it's SNOWING here today! Hasn't snowed here in May in over 84 yrs ... and just south of us it's been 110 yrs .. Many places got 2-3 inches.. but ours is just melting .. no biggie.

It's going to be a high of 40 today. Kinda funny... I was talking to kayak on the phone early this morning and I let out a gasp.

I had looked out and saw it snowing! They had predicted it but I didn't think it would really snow or would just be flurries.

The joke's on me! [Big Grin]

got on my feet to make breakfast/brunch...just put some gf waffles in toaster.

That did me in. I did sit up to eat them...I need to go back to eating when I lie down....

I also was able to pick up some of the poop under my window where the air/heater units are.

I assume the poop is from my cat as it is rare she uses her litter box.

TGIF!!!

20 hard minutes on the stair climber, arm, ab and leg workout.

Same old same old at work. Fridays I water the plants here but the co-worker who's leaving is the one that had the most plants. So, less work for me! [Big Grin]

TuTu-Thanks for explaining. Keep us posted. I tried Trazadone once....couldn't even function, so I don't have to worry about trying it again.

Tdtid-I'm with you! I love to go out and eat!

Kayak-So you didn't talk with the lawyer at all? Maybe that's a good thing. And, let me get this straight.....run, jump and dig in my yard and all my weight problems will be over? I'll give it a shot.

Kam-Was thrilled to hear about your good news! Hope things continue to be better for you. Since you mentioned coconuts I want one now....

See you all later!

yeah kam...some things are getting better for you...but i dont know why you havent been on medicare...i know my brother has lyme but his medicare docs wont treat his lyme or give him a hip replacement he needs. they did give him a few months of physical therapy and they give him csm(questra) for his high cholesterol-so that helps to detox him. but he still is being a rebel about using buhner or salt/c...he says until the regular docs undestand lyme he wont treat it

live and let live...you can lead a horse to water...etc

so...another really hard day but a few things were accomplished ... again exercise was too much standing and lifting...i ran into a herd of very large dogs---one 120 lbs jumped on my new car...grrrrr...then tried to get into the car (etta was giving him hell-and i ended up closing his snout in the door cuz he wouldnt back off...i didnt try to...i was worried about him...but he didnt seem to have any problems. there was also a potbellied pig running with the dogs and and it was the top of the pecking order...it bit this sweet lab in the ear and made it yelp-then the lab lied down and submitted to the pig

tutu...i did wake up b4 all this happened

i had called tutu cuz i woke up to really wierd dreams.

but camper is at a different rv place-it seems better hope so. and i drove quite aways during rush hour to get some pots to put the tress in cuz it hurts my hands so much to put them in the ground. that way they sont die and i will just put in a few aday

i did talek to the lawyer...but he kept saying he didnt have time to talk...and he asked me to send him some stuff that i have sent hem about 5 times. update it he says. i snet it 2 weeks ago.

we have another appt next week to talk. but there is no way my sil cna be available then. iwonder if he is fighting the brush fires in CA. he flies a helicopter out or pendleton.

my leg doesnt hurt real bad from pt...but it didnt hurt at all (the left one) b4 i went-so...i hope i can get back to a regular routine with increasing strength

blah blah blah huh? i dont shut up.

our world has so many wierd things happening!!!

be sure to check out my "snow" post in general

Not sure how long I was out of the apartment, but longer than norm so it felt good.

ESt 1 hr.

My brain was working well enough I could figure out how many gas stations were in town..est 9

And which one I want to go to.

It started by stopping at the one that has the less traffic noise. But, then I looked at the price and thought...is this correct?? When did gas get to be that much??

So drove thru town and checked other gas stations....it was correct...with th exception of being 15 cents more a gallon...$3.68 I think.

I was not able to get my credit card to work at the gas station I decided to give a try.

So, had to be on my feet and walk into the store.

I will not go back there. The clerk was able to get my credit card to work with the machine in the store thankfully.

But, I did not like the clerk.

Then I drove on the 55 mph highway to the Verde River. Est 6 miles but I thought I had driven much further until I checked mileage on the way back.

it did feel good to get out of dodge even if it was for only 6 miles.

Sat on a couple of log stumps while Rosie explored....est 10 min. I so wanted to lie down but knew if I did I would not be able to get back up.

Still trying to figure out what to do so I can go to these places and lie down and stay longer.

Looking into cots but have yet to find one I think would be light enough to carry a short distance and easy to set up and high enough off the ground so I can get in and out of it.

..I need something that comes to the back of my knees at least.

Also able to put dishes away.

All of this was an up hill struggle but got er done.

It is beautiful there. Red rock cliff wall formations on 3 sides.

The gas station I was going to closed up awhile back and no one has purchased it yet.

I also was able to find a couple of bills and read them to see how much I owed and pay on line....I have been waiting until my brain was working well enough to do that.

slept good and got pills in and started writing WC stuff for sil

etta was bored and kept getting into trouble.

i got it typed up...very rambling messy work...but his job is to make it look good-at least readable for lawyer

then sat out in back yard with etta...beautiful day here. i have more trees to pot but dont think my hands will cooperate.

EXERCISE: i just wheeled myself next door and back so etta could run with the corgi who bit her that time. theres a bit of a hill at one spot and etta pulled me...

i dont know if i was brave or stupid. they had fun. i really think the reason he bit her had to do with him being on leash and her going up to his person.

my brain is fried from writing that stuff. and there is more to go.

i'm thinking of going to visit a friend who has a nice backyard for awhile to clear my head and hope to get back to writing late.

hope everyone has a great day.
