- This was shot just 2 months ago on the camera guy's leg. He posted in the expanded detail below the photo that he "pulled the tick out right away so there would be no chance of disease." (end paraphrase)
One of the comments also is so wrong about transmission time.
He is so wrong about that chance and has no clue. No clue at all. Wonder how he is now - will but - and all those who follow his footsteps with such ignorant camera experiments.
But how is he to know if the IDSA still won't properly educate the public about the fact in just seconds, infection can spread.
I started to post a reply but my real full name came up on the form. I don't leave my real name just anywhere but do wish someone could get the true detail to him. Even if his is careless, he's telling others they don't need to be concerned about a tick bite. -

- Yes, he put the tick on himself to test out a new microsope camera he got. He thinks he's educated about the "bite time" related to infection time but he is so very wrong and does not even know it.
It never made sense to me, that stupid theory, anyway. There is no hermetically sealed stomach that can't let a spirochete slip by.
Spirochetes and other infections, once exposed to the mouth parts in the first place when the tick became infected, don't just disappear from those parts, either - I strongly suspect.
What are they thinking, "oh, the infection is sequestered way off in a tightly sealed cavity and that every tick part it touched on the way in has been sterilized" sort of fairy tale?
I can only hope, for this guy's sake, that the particular tick for his filming trial was not infected. And that no one else follows his behavior.
It's not his fault he does not know but the IDSA, CDC and NIH for perpetuating this ignorance. -
