My son in law was just bit by a tick. After seeing me go seven months to get a diag,in treatment for eight months, lost my job and ins.
Denied both private and ss disability. Still very sick and waiting on getting a picc.
What does he say....I'm not going to a dr, I've pulled many ticks off of me. My daughter went as far to say if you get sick I will not take care of you. His response was " don't worry, I'll suck it up "
I am taking this as such a personal insult....... Try to spread awareness and someone close to you, sees what hell your in daily and can just respond this way. Mad Mad Mad!!!!

What a moron!
People feel invincible until something bad happens to THEM!
Try not to take his comments personally. People's own ideas about themselves and the world around them often trump reality.
However, if he develops a single symptom, your daughter should DRAG him to the LLMD for HER sake! Her well-being and best interests are involved, too.
His comments totally minimizes my illness and is a slap in the face... How dare he say he will " suck it up ". I'm dying here...

It may also be a guy thing. Not excusable, but we all know them-- the ones who refuse to go to the doctor. It isn't about being stoic, it's about being stupid. Just wait until his pituitary quits, he has heart problems and he can't walk anymore. He'll think he is the only one going through this and then you won't be able to shut him up. Prepare yourself.
