Went for a drive this am. I just got in the car and started driving. Got to a place I had been before but stopped going as there was a gate that you had to open and close to continue on the dirt road.

Noticed the gate was no longer there. So, drove on the dirt road while Rosie stretched her legs and did her business. Short outing. In pain now.

Next get up will be to take pain meds. I have also taken excedrin but it doesn't seem to be helping much anymore.

Should be happy I was able to get out but want more and want to feel better.

So, goal for today is to not do something that meakes my health worse.

I most likely will watch a movie to take my mind off of things after I have some sort of breakfast. Need to go to the grocery store to get breakfast food but not sure that is do able this am.

88 high today. Rain predicted for MOnday and Tuesday so weather will cool down a bit.

Can not recall what the temp was when I was out this am. I think in the 50's.

I went into work for several hours this morning. I don't do that often on a Sunday, but needed to get some work done.

Walked 40 minutes with trekking poles. Odd last night I walked 30 without them. Seems to be a day by day "thing."

Beautiful here, too, LP.

Mom just called. Just diagnosed with breast cancer. I am trying not to stress about it. Not much known until she sees oncologist later this week anyway. She's 88. Say a prayer, please.

Relaxing the rest of the day and going to bed early.

Thanks, kam! Cute fall pic! Hope you get some good food into you today.

[group hug]

LP.. How's that canopy going?

Hiker .. Glad you got a headstart on your week. VERY sorry to hear about your mom. Life can be so hard.

Not much going on over here. Nice day at church, beautiful weather. It will be warmer the rest of the week but still nice.

So sorry about your mom hiker. They have learned a lot about it now. Way differnt for me two years ag than for my mom forty years ago. Is she near a big cancer center?
Will pray.

Canopy is up. Two pipes were bent and didnt fit together but neighbor used pliars to make them right. His wife helped me pull top over and bungie it on. They left to help a friend and ended up in er cuz he cut himself and needed stitches! Im glad he didnt get hurt here. I figured out how to tie it down temp cuz anchors didnt come. But i think the legs are wrong. They llook right...but theres no buttons to hold them to the top frame

My son should be here next week. He was too tired to come and then his wife brought the flu home for school so they are both sick now

Tomorrow i still have work to do inside but it was wonderful to be out today. I didnt get to weed but watered for an hour

Hope good things happen to all of us this week. Especially hikers mom.

woke up in a panic and scared. Dam. I am still sick.

Must have had a dream I was well last night..who knows??

Got in car and drove Rosie out to spirit rock. Should have let her run but didnt'. NOw, she is restless.

Walked into grocery store...barely..heart pounding and other over the top symptoms...got in elec cart and rested before picking up a few groceries.

Got meat for caregiver to cook for me when she comes tomorrow.

Need other things but they were at other grocery stores in town..only 3 stores in town.

Got scared while in grocery store. Talked to myself...you are OK. You are in a grocery store. yes. your health is lousy but you are safe.

You are in an elec cart. Take it slow.

Typed out letter to business that ordered the power chair for me that is not do able adn got it in the mail.

Not sure what next get up will be. I would like to water plants but do not think I have hwat it takes to do that

Next get up will either be moving my body in the car or moving my body ia the old power cahir.

Would like to let rosie have some off leash time so maybe i need to load up power chair and go to a place where she can run while i drive the power chair that is safe for both of us.

hoping i will do ok loading the power chair.

A van that i drive the power chair into with wheel locks would make life so much more do able and reliable.

Monday-Love the fall pic Kam! I'm so ready for cooler weather too. Josh took me to Starbucks Sunday morning and we had pumpkin lattes and a delicious fresh apple chunk muffin type pastry.

Saturday was loads of fun! We left home around 10:35 and arrived to the Gwinnett Center around 1:20.

We walked and walked, shopped around, looked at exhibits, crafts and dance performances. Enjoyed the archery and martial arts performances. And I bought us each one Sapporo beer and my Mom paid for a bento box lunch.

Afterwards we went to H-Mart (international grocery store) and had a Korean dinner there and then home around 9:35. Whew....a long fun filled day!

Sunday washed and ironed some clothes and took my Mom out for errands and a little grocery shopping. Heated up leftovers from Friday for dinner, made garlic bread and salad then did dishes.

Before I knew it.....I'm here at work, and it's Monday!

Kam-Was happy to read the tail end of last week's thread and learn that you're getting out more. Sometimes when I'm sitting here at work, I think back to when I couldn't even get out of bed. I get teary-eyed, but oh so grateful and humble. Still amazed that I don't get lost all the time!

Kayak-My Dad was stationed in Okinawa. That's where he met my Mom (she's Okinawan) and they were married there. My older sister was born there and I was almost born there too. 3 days after my Mom came to the U.S. I was born in sunny Cali! My younger brother was born about 11 months later in Cali too. We used to live in Okinawa in the 60's when my Dad went to Vietnam. I also went back in the late 80's to see family. It's great that we have that in common!

Hiker-Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom! Sending up a prayer for her and thinking about you today.

TuTu-I love to read about you going out and enjoying your hubby's shows! I really liked what Hiker posted about 'doing things that bring you joy'. I'm going to strive to do just that!

Hope everyone has a terrific Monday!

OK Got hair cut and colored. Means, I cruise to the shopping center next door with ear plugs in in power chair, have hair stylist spray water on hair, cut it, then she put no stink hair color on that I have purchased from store, and I cruise home in power chair with plastic bonnet, take sit down shower to wash color off.

All I know now is hair is short. I am OK with hair being grey sometimes and then other times I do not like it at all so have them put some color on.

I have yet to use the same color.

While at hair stylist I slouch in chair with feet elevated on counter.

Whole process took maybe 30 min....wasnt' sure i would survive it at first but hung in there and made it.

After hair dries I will see if it is an improvement or not but guessing an improvement as it was dry and bushy and wild and have one color and half grey.

It has been a while since I have tried to get hair cut.

Put on clothes I can sleep in too if needed.

Im glad u were able to get hair fuxed and feel better about it kam. I was hapoy about my sshort haircut in june and thought i would keep getting hair cuts every 6 weeks like lady said but i really like the way it is growing out...so havent gone back

I had to take sleep pill, skelaxin and gaba again last night because i put the canopy up.

I prefer to only take two of those...but im allowed to take two of each so im not overdoing it

I got some calls about yard sale stuff and talkrd to town and lab about my water. I think it will be tested tomorrow. Etta really will not drink it no matter how thirsty she is

I got goodies in the mail...a book for my grand dughters second b day that i am going to miss. I also got a little photo book that says "my family" and im going to fill it with pics of mostly my side of family. She sees the other side of family a lot. She lives books and turning pages so i hope she will like it. I plan to send it two dsys late so it doesnt get buried in all the other gifts. Im being sneaky i know but it hurts so much to have so little interaction with her

Im having trouble staying focused...but need to push myself to finish bedroom and exercise room so they are ready for my son to put baseboard on. Im afraid hes pretty sick with flu...hes not getting back to me

You are doing good Kayak.

Able to cook some meat for lunch. Still hungry but too exhausted to eat more. Need to rest a bit first.

Went out to toilet Rosie. Wanted to get the job done before the rains came. It started sprinkling while I was out.

Rosie did not get the job done.

Stopped in the smoking area and listened to some people talk. That wears me out. But, was able to learn web site for one of the nieghbors that is a photographer.

Also learned about a great place to go to take pics. Asked him how far it is from home in an email.

Might be able to go there and turn around once body and brain tell me too...depends on how far the turn off is.

He is like me and takes pics from the drivers seat of his car.

But, he has a Canon. I use my iphone. [Smile]

Today's gossip ..and there always is gossip..was about how it is rumored this place is full of drug dealers and how it is wrong of those people to spread the rumors.

Well...as we were sitting there a guy I think comes to pick up drugs showed up. HA!

He pulls up in the reserved parking place by the front door.

Goes right to the guy's apartment right inside the front door staying less than 5 min and then leaves.

He use to bring a female who would be on drugs with him until she was banned from the apartments. She use to show up on weekends and evenings saying she was the guys' housekeeper. HA!

The irony in all of that was too much for me. I wanted to point out the irony of it all while they were talking but they were still on the subject of how it is so wrong to spread those rumors and how it is just down right dangerous to spread those rumors and how whoever is doing it is putting us in harms way. Too funny.

Brain wise it took a lot out of me. I have been avoiding that area for several days but then I miss the companionship so head over there and stay 5 or 10 min.

There is one lady here who seems to be someone that would be positive to be around ...but she sits in her car to smoke her cigarette.

I do stop and talk a few sentences with her now and then.

I didnt sty focused on what i was supposed to. I got all excited when the anchors came for the canopy. I put four in and tied to them instead of fence. There are two more legs still attachrd to pillars that hold up carport

While that was hppening etta had fun sunning herself...it was sunny and chilly...i liked it

Also someone said she woud buy my two big big bookcases. Shes coming in ten min i hope. I need the space. After that i have matching end tables and tv console in honey pine.

This is my second day feeling pretty good tummy-wise. Im low gluten and dairy , abti candida and mold, mostly whole foods. Very low processed

Also i think vsl 3 is helping. I hope i can cut down on dosage eventually. Then i could afford it

Hope she comes! Have a good nite!

That's something else, kam! Funny, but not funny!! [Big Grin]

Kayak .. I hope you sell the bookcases!

I went to see a show today that I haven't seen in about 10 yrs. It was really good. It was the Legends in Concert. They had Jerry Lee Lewis, Patsy Cline, Aretha Franklin, The Blues Brothers and Elvis. I think I liked Elvis the best, but the whole show was cute. I wasn't enamored with the Patsy Cline person. It was not country at all. They jazzed it up since Patsy herself was probably quite dry .. just straight up quality singing.

Another irony. Had to take a pain pill after finally getting pain med prescription filled.

1st trip was via the power chair. Doc faxed in prescription on Friday.

But, pharmacy needs it signed so they could not fill it.

Doc had also given me a copy and i wondered why she was signing it when she gave it to me.

Good thing she did. I came back home in power chair just in time to avoid the rain..found paper needed and drove back to pharmacy..

waited in car while they filled it. Do not like the daughter there...father and daughter small pharmacy. She has poor service skills.

I do not think she wants to be there.

But, choosing another pharmacy in town is not an option health wise. This one is within power chair distance...oops..just recalled..i can have the meds mailed...viola...got to get in the habit of doing that...then i will not need to go in person.

temp dropped about 10 degrees or more here...nice but i am not dressed for it..brain still thinks it is in the high 80's out.

bad attitude but i think i will be better once i lay here and recover.

Im trying to get this body moving. The guys are coming to test water at 1 and i am not ready. The kitchen is disaster. It always happens when i start another project. The dining area is full of yard sale stuff that needs to be organized and go out. And the living room looks like construction zone with badeboard

After they go im going to let myself weed and deadhead. Its cloudy and cool. My kind of day

Have a good day all!

Tuesday-Dragging butt today. It's 8:33 and I'm basically done with everything already for the day. I might make some sales folders before I leave at 10:40 to go to the dentist. I might have broken part of my tooth or filling. [Frown]

Kam-I'm getting my haircut tomorrow. I'll have to color it myself this week to save some money. I remember while on Lyme treatment I couldn't color my hair because of the interaction between one of my antibiotics and haircolor. They forgot to tell me and my scalp got fried the first time I colored my hair. Needless to say I didn't color my hair for the 2 years of treatment.

Kayak-My hairstylist told me every 6 weeks too but I'm going 7. She's expensive ($50) so I'm trying to stretch it out. Even then I don't know how much longer I can afford it.

TuTu-That show sounds awesome! I would have gone just for the Patsy Cline songs!

Hiker-Hang in there!

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

[hi]

cost wise i was not a happy camper. I will go back to the mother next time. Had daughter do my hair this time.

Mother adjusted price since it is a quick cut and i bring my own hair color and she just puts it on and then i go home and rinse it off.

20 for service.

the daughter charged me as if i had a cut, color and style like a regular customer. not good.

did not realize it until i was able to get on line and see what was charged on my bank acct.

like the way the mother cuts hair also..it is very relaxing when the mother cuts my hair.

tuesday..thanks for reminding me/us tutu

going to go back and read what others wrote later.

not sure if i have checked in...but over did it this am and still trying to recover. not that i did that much.

I hussled and picked up enough i wasnt too embarrassed. Two young guys csme to test water. They were very nice and caring and seemed very capable. I will have results tomorrow.

I did reward myself by deadheading and i transplanted two huge baskets of mums into front flower bed. Only thing flowering is my two purple butterfly bushes.

When i wrote purple it reminded me of steve. Hes such a sweet guy. Im afraid he might be really sick. Not sure why.

Anyway...soon the two end bushes will have many daisy like flowers. Im not sure of their name.

The bed close to the house still has purple petunias, lighter purple asters and white roses

Im tired. Soaked my feet and legs in whirlpool cuz somehow i got rose thorn in the bsll of my foot but i still cant get it out

Nite

I never actually looked at this thread. I figured I'd check it out today.

What a nice photo kam! I love orange. It looks like autumn is coming to wherever you took that photo was.

I sort of thought of my old orange bike from when I was 4 or 5. It was that exact shade. I had one of those gold glitter banana seats.

That was almost 50 years ago...LOL! Maybe it's the same era as the VW? I think that color was in style back then.

Anyway - I took a walk at Eagle Rock where they have a 9/11 Memorial in West "Orange"...

Skies were kind of gray & cloudy. It's a bit higher ground there. It overlooks Manhattan in the distance.

Hump Day!!! It's 8:45 and I'm almost done with my work. Trying to stretch it out. I got a little more rest last night because I took half of a better sleeping pill.

Oh, I did break part of my tooth and filling. He fixed it and asked what in the world I was eating when it broke. I think I cracked it Saturday eating some corn nuts!

Kam-I agree with TuTu! I'd be on the phone with the Mom and work it out with her. It's possible the daughter didn't know what to charge you.

Kayak-Me and my Mom were admiring some purple mums this past weekend. Such a burst of color! I'm so glad it's fall!

Sparkle-Hi! Nice to see you here. Had to smile when you were reminiscing about your bike. Those of us of a certain age know just what you're talking about!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Hi sparkle. I hope you ll visit a lot. Its comfortable here. I was born in glenridge. First seven years lived in bloomfield. A l o n g time ago. I still have relatives in the oranges. Glad you got a walk in

I forgot to mention before my first car was a blue 58 vw bug. I had to ride it like a scooter, jump in and pop the clutch to start it. I tried really hard to always park on a hill. Heading down.

I have things to do but im lying on the bed in the sunshine with etta. I finally gave her a bath and she wont sty here without me. She needs to dry

Its beautiful out. Im thinking of taking a long drive to see the leave s starting to tur. My foot is so sore from thorn i cant hardly walk on it so dont know what i can do except maybe bills

I wish i could find purple mums...so far cant

Water guy said my water is safe but did get churned up with construction...so i guess i can drink tap water but have to buy bottled for etta

I plan to have an easy day then hussle next two days to get ready for son.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Vision is not good so typing with eyes closed again.

Able to drive Rosie otu to the forest area and let her stretch her legs this am.

Enjoyed seeing the sun come down the hillside and would have liked to watched it more..at least until it hit spirit rock but body could not stay any longer.

Thought I did something else this am but can not recall what it was...oh ..yes..finally got qot a letter typed and mailed to a friend...a friend that I do nto even know if they are still living.

She is not able to write due to health and I am not able to talk on the phone or listen to her messages on the phone..so communication ..well..no communication...miss her and her husband. I think they are in the 80's and 90's.

Wanted to go back to sleep and tried but Rosie kept giving me the help bark...I had taken her out to toilet via the power chair at dawn and then again drove her out to the forest...why was she still wanting out???

I think she likes to go visit with the people who gather at the smoking area under the walkway at the entrance...

So, we went there and she got her loving.

I laid back in my power chair and enjoyed the warmth of the sun.

Could hear people talking but not really able to heaar wha tthey were saying..just know it was nice chatter.

Not sure how long i enjoyed the sun.

Watched the movie philemina (sp?)

Tried to contact the cable company to find out why I was not able to get on line but that did nto work out health wise so gave that up.

Able to find out why I was not able to get on line after watching the movie and able to fix it.

Back on line.

STill have things I would like to do and thanfkul brain is at least on line enough to think of them..but know brian and body are not doing well enough to actually do them.

Feel like I could take another nap.

Getting hot in here. Need to close windows and turn on air for next get up.

Today and the rest of the week looks like it is going to be hot, hot, hot again.

kayak..i had a VW that also needed to be started that way.

I also felt like I need a drop down door in the floor so I could drag my feet to stop it. [Smile]

But, I have fond memories of that car. REally enjoyed it and drove on dirt roads frequently with it.

It had a custom paint job. I think maybe it was a 1967 but not sure.

But, yes...lots of exercise with that car. [Smile]

Hi, Sparkle! [hi]

Kam.. That's sweet that Rosie just needed some extra loving today!

I learned how to drive in a VW. It was my brother's. I'm not sure what year it was .. maybe a '60- '63 or so. I'll have to ask him if he remembers. I think it was light green.

I took my driver's test in a Buick F-85. It was a cute little station wagon. It was VERY easy for parallel parking and that is why I used it for the test. It had power steering and you could see exactly how far back to go.

Kayak .. seems if a dog won't even drink the water, that maybe you shouldn't either? They KNOW things we don't.

I ran a few errands today. I hope my cousin can still come. She had to go to the ER yesterday for a migraine. Hope to find out this evening if she can still come. I hope she's feeling better today!

Welcome Sparkle,

Easy day at school once I got the computer fixed.
No papers to grade until Friday or Monday.

Walked 25 minutes after work with trekking poles, but am not using poles at work, so that is good.

My mom's cancer diagnosis is not good. I won't go into details, but hope the surgery is soon. MD said he could only give one day's notice on surgery which doesn't give me much time to prepare sub plans and get there or get some home health care provided for her if she needs it.

Hiker. Praying it all works out and for peace for you and your mom.

Brain is working well enough I have things on my mind I would like to do as I lie here.

Being able to do those things when I get up remains iffy.

Took rosie out in power chair this am to pee.

Next get up is to get dressed and get in the car and go for a drive and find a place for her to stretch her legs and toilet. She is giving me the look....

Guess I will start there. Wore me out as usual just getting in the power chair and cruising on the apartment property for her to pee.

OK 45 min outing i think with maybe 5 min on feet. Stopped at the local park and ran into Rosie's hiking buddy, Piney.

Piney just had a growth removed from her paw so she is moving on 3 paws right now. Wears her out.

Rosie did her happy dance the whole time.

Sunday is when we usually walk...me in my power chair. Piney will have her paw free by Sunday so will be fine.

Drove down a couple of streets in town I have not been down before looking for housing.

Saw several homes I liked but not in my price range and bigger than I need.

I just enjoy looking.

My hiking friend is a talker. So, I put on my ear muffs and she is beginning to communicate with me more via sign language.

Good news is my brain can take in a word here and there via sign. I doubt my brain could take in a complete sentence but at least we are communicating and have found a way.

With time maybe the brain will be able to process more via sign language.

Thursday-Had some problems with my legs last night. I woke up and the front of my thighs were hurting. Mixed some powdered magnesium and water and drank that and was able to get a little more sleep. Have never had that happen before. Anyways, a little tired today.

Well, I found out yesterday that they want me to work one Saturday a month. I hope I still get 2 days off in a row. I'll find out later today. Not real happy about it but can't complain because I need the money and insurance.

Kayak-The first car I bought was a 60's Volkswagen Squareback. It cost me $300 in 1977 and was three different colors (black, gray and red) due to different body parts. It was a real fixer upper that lasted about 6 months.

Kam-That Rosie! She's such a social butterfly. Josh's dog, Ada is the same way. Josh said she's demanding when it comes to her lovings. LOL!

TuTu-Yet another coincidence that we all drove VW's in our younger years. I hope your cousin can still come for a visit. My brother and his family are coming for dinner this Saturday. Josh and I are grilling out teriyaki chicken. Yum!

Hiker-Josh is on a roll this week. Since we all live at my Mom's now he's having to get up on time so he gets work done before the kids get to school. He's work free in the evenings until Monday.

I sure hope your Mom is going to be ok. Please let us know how she's doing. Praying for her and you!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hiker you are in a very duffucult situatio. I wasnt that sick wgen my mom went thru it but the truth is i was far away and 4 subkings were close to help her. She had two separate mastectomys. Refused chemo and radiation. Lived a happy life for 20 more yrs. Did not die from cancer

Two years ago i really needed my son here a full two weeks even tho i had help coming in. They didnt do much...its like kam says...but having your dad there-even just to call for help when necessary-should be a help

So hard to go tthru this. Im sorry.

Ok...working on getting moving. Didnt take enough pain meds last night and forgot reflux med so woke up with many problems at four. Had to eat take beds and go back to sleep in chair

I really need help finisging up this house so i can cook and eat right and get reasonable exercise

Son wanted to rush in and rush out again between work and races and i told him i dont care about visits or presents on holidays but i need help now

He says ok but no date set yet. He still has truck and i miss it

I figured out my new go to breakf s st: green apple with almond butter, small piece of whatever gluten free quickbread or muffin i have and tea. This replaces my rice cake and almond butter and half a banana and coffee

This way i can have an egg for second protein and then fish or chic for third

I will probably have chic souo with a million veggies a few mornings a week for breakfast also

Yesterdays trip to look at leaves was a mistake and my foot still hurts. I can feel the thorn sticking out but cant get hold of it

I thought i was going to sw part of state that is very rural and beautiful with streams as and stonewalls and horsefarms but i did something wrong and ended up in city...i feltlike i was in boston suburbs...awful

I did fund a set of brass lamps for $20. When i was out in the woods...and i did see a few trees starting to turn....but not sure if it was worth it. I planned on coming home by way of ocean road cuz wind was right but i was too tird

Rested a few hrs when i got home and then moved big furniture in living room since i have gotten rid of a lot. Now its easier to get at windows to open and close shades. Six windows face south east and i use them for heat.

I was able to get biggest baseboards from behind dsybed and prep them and set them in bedrooms where they go

I have a ilittle bit more of that to do and then attack the cat urine closet. Im going to use this sealer that doesnt smell at all. On cement and wood that is low to ground. And then sheetrock(need sons help to get it on wall and then i am lining closet with cedar and prsying the smell doesnt come through

So if this fancy ibuprofen will kick in i can get going...i taped the voice so can listen to that...have ti work from wc tho...if foot really gets infected i ll go to urgent care but im hoping ho****er and epsom salts will bring it out

Tutu....im mostly drinking bottled water but still cooking with tap water and making my tea. It gets boiled. I guess smelly water isntconsidered a heath issue

Beautiful weather. Hope all can enjoy

Oh...ak...that is one pain i havent had. Maybe musccles are tired frob extra work? And thats why mag helped. I get thst feeling in lower leg where fake knees are attached....but that cant be whats going on

Good luck figuring it out

Well, so much for my cushy job! I had to work my butt off going through a stock book and pulling out the already sold invoices. I had to check via a couple of programs and there were hundreds of them. Took me 3 1/2 hours! My good right arm is sore from using the 10-key on the keyboard.

Oh well........leaving in an hour and will take some advil when I get home.

See you all in the morning after I get an oil change.

I got a few calls for stuff i am selling. Hope i sell something this weekend

Uh oh. The sealer goes on white and dries clear. I didnt realize til now that it must have dripped on etta. Goid its water soluble

I just found out my sil has a ticket to see pope tomorrow. We arent catholic but he is a strict catholic and im sure he is really happy. This is their last year in manhatten. His other goal is to run in ny marathon

Then he settles down to be a marine lawyer...and i hope i get some more grand babies.

Ahhhhh. Just resting. Need to keep working a few more hours.

Didn't do much in the way of exercise today. They showed me some exercises to do with an exercise ball for sciatica & I did some of those.

I have an inversion table but I keep forgetting to use it. Hopefully, I'll get to it tomorrow.

Went to the beach yesterday & it was nice!

Sorry to hear about your mom, Hiker... I hope it will all work out for her.

lpkayak - please get some bottled water. It's worth it. I know it's a bother to lug it home. Maybe you can get it delivered? There are places that do it...

We have a situation here where there is PERC (dry cleaning chemicals) in the water. I won't drink that. It's bad enough we have to bathe in it. It causes cancer...

They said it's better now but I don't really trust them. I used to use a filter but it's of no use for PERC.

Walked a little after work yesterday.

Still very toxic and unsure why. I personally think it may be from chemicals that were drilled into my basement years ago due to termites. Bugs still die down there fairly quickly. Ugh.

Will grocery shop after work and get ready for weekend chores.

Better go get ready for class.

OK. Sound of caregiver working in kitchen is too much again so wearing ear muffs.

I was able to drive Rosie to dog park to do her business but it was tricky walking in and out...once again wondered what it would be like to have a van where I just drive the power chair on to the van and it self locks and off of the van.

Dizziness still but not as bad as yesterday.

I also was able to finally get the prescription for sleeping pills into caremark.

HOping they are able to get sleeping pills to me before I run out. It took me awhile to take care of this business....too long.

Doesn't matter if I made it in time.

Good news was I found the prescription easily and I found the paper work easily...which is a first.

Did what I could to read what I needed to do...think i got it right..I hope...

Able to clean out the litter box...

CAregiver will not be here until next Friday...as we had more days this week than allowed in the month. [Frown]

Or visa versa.

Hate this sick feeling. Scary. Looks like a day of watching movies again.

Typing with eyse closed.

Ready to try Medical Marjuana (SP?) to see if it helps with dizziness and pain.

Do not want to smoke it...or the oil as I hear that helps too.

Time will tell..not sure what the new doctor ill think is best ..treating the babesia is first on the my list.

Funds to see doctor have not been deposited yet from the gofundme site. HOping they get deposited today as I see doctor on Tuesday.

If not, I might need to reschedule.

Able to send email to gofund me site asking.

So able to do a few things this am.

TGIF!!! One slow spin in the chair and it made me dizzy! Didn't sleep well again. Had to pee a bunch of times during the night and slept maybe 4 hours or so. Also it's 12 and I just finished my work. Got here about 8:40 instead of 7:30 so that put me behind and I had more work to do today.

Well, got my oil changed and tires rotated. They also topped off my fluids. I put over 5,000 miles on my little Scion since July! I'm really racking up the miles since I moved about 50 miles away from my job. My car now has 110,000 miles on it. I hope it lasts for quite awhile.

Kayak-I hope you have a wonderful visit with your son. It's great that he's visiting and doing chores for you. Josh cooked spaghetti last night and made a salad and garlic bread. It was so wonderful to come home from work to a home cooked meal. That's something that never happened while I was married no matter how late I got home.

TuTu-Hope your cousin's still able to make it!

Sparkle-Are you near a beach? I went to Dauphin Island Alabama this summer and rented a house for a week. We had a wonderful time!

Hiker-Misery loves company! I'm kinda out of sorts too. Legs bothered me the other night and not sleeping well. I hope we both get to feeling better!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Kam .. I hope you get the script on time and that the gofundme comes through in time. I bet it will!

hiker .. that is really scary about the chemicals. It could be the entire reason for all of your health problems of late. I know there was a recent case of a child becoming severely disabled due to the chemicals for termites.

Still praying for your family, hiker.

Kayak .. hope you got some things done today that you needed to get finished before your son got there.

AK .. Hope that Scion keeps on ticking!

I went to see "90 Minutes in Heaven" today. It was really good. Not as good as "War Room" but really good. I had already read the book about 7-8 yrs ago. I think they did a pretty good job on the movie.

My cousin isn't coming. She's still sick. She spent all day at her sister's so she had someone to take care of her. Hope she can get better soon.

I got dive-bombed by a bumble bee, but thankfully it left me so I could get inside the door when I came home. Scary!!

Ive been thinking of you hiker and what your going thru

Ditto whst tutu said about the child and pesticides

Kam its such a struggle. You are such a trooper

Ak...sorry about the sickness...its new to you right?

Theres something going on with arms i swear. My son is having trouble altho its more elboe and forearmand fingers. My brother has big surgery schrduled in january for muscle torn off bone. Mine gets a little better when i dont use it and way worse when i move it the way it hurts

I didnt pick up phone but there is a message from.shoulder doc so i guess its been six months and he wants to see it again

Not sure if its related but my neck spasms are getting worse and worse

I worked so hard before son got here. Didnt get it all done but was two rooms ahead so all baseboard got done. He put tv back and it works. And he went and bought what was needed to sheet rock closet back up.

I sealed all the wood in it tonight and it should be dry tomorrow. He did some things so there wont be much dust in house

I think im.selling something at 9 am tomotrow morning....

He hopes to be done and on his wsy home by ten

It will take me weeks to get house back together but it will be the last time i have to do it

Im not going to rush. The weather has been so nice and grden needs attention and shed and carport need to be organized for winter

My son wasnt hyper at all this time. I was very slow since i had been working so long all week to get ready...but he just did what i couldnt do and visited a lot aboutvhis wirk and racing

A lot of things are hard for all of us it seems. Some how we seem.to manage to hang in. Im really looking forwrd to justbliving in this hous . Instead of rebuilding it.

Im getting excited about cooking new food's and want to ride my recumbant bike and take etta on wslks

And get to the beach once in awhile

Scarey bumblebee story tute!

PUtting blinders on my left eye so Rosie's movement does not get to me as she lays on her cot licking and biting.

I do not recall her doing this until recently. Not sure why.

AT first I know ti was the no see um bugs as I got bit too.

I still have bites and open sores showing up and I still itch..but it is not the no see um bugs.

And I am not sure what it is with Rosie. Just another thing to figure out when I am able.

Need to make a list for doc I see on Tuesday to help me some how when nerves are so raw I hit the roof.

Not sure what will help.

Typing it out helps.

Able to drive Rosie out to the forest. she did nto want to stay long. I brought along my greek yogurt and frap.

Able to read ingredients on the greek yogurt...first ingredient is sugar so I will not be purchasing it again...dam.

I know there is sugar in the frap too but do not have them frequently.

Tried to hook up wireless mouse on lap top but could not get it to work..big struggle due to movement needed to find battery, open package, find cord to laptop, find right angle for lap top while I am laying down...

..going to try my tray next time as it kept sliding on my clothes...had to get on hands and knees to find mouse pad...dropped it again last night between the bed and the long table I have next to bed...lots of crumbs on the floor too

Main thing i was upset about today was lack of organization and brain working well enough to help me trouble shoot

Good news is I got the numbers entered for my bank account again for the go fund me funds

Hoping all works well this time an it goes thru.

OK brain is swelling up and pressure cooker is boiling over...closing eyes

Easier this time to enter information...less info to enter

Next step is to fill out forms for doctor that I got in the mail

I also moved about this am trying to find th eenvelope with the papers in it..I have yet to open it..found envelope but also did it by tossing out papers from a big box on the floor...so need to go back and pick up those papers when I am able...

again...organizational skills shot all to hell and mad because I do nto have them back yet...

Good news is I found the enveloope.

Body in pain even though I took meds all ready this am...the bone pain

Good news is so far the dizziness has not returned...but yesterday it got worse when I had to turn on the air conditioner and the heat , etc.

Need to cook hamburgers while I can this am before they go bad.

Need to get help back to help again...did not have her help for September because I had to put the door handle on the car...$75 for labor and $25 for the handle....

Need to be able to open drivers side of the door.

Need different attitude this am...too many things I am allowing me to be angry about...

Grateful I had the funds and the health to get the door handle fixed. Could have shopped around for someone less expensive to put handle on but it took all I had just to get to the mechanic and get the handle fixed...health was not doing well enough to shop around

In the past, most of the mechanics have pretty much been the same as far as there fees.

Also able to get windows washed and new windshield wipers on car...that has made a big difference too.

CAregiver washed the windows..that is when the door handle broke..or at least I noticed it the next day ...most likely not her fault..old car...at first i though maybe someone had been trying to get in my car that night.

Just yammering.

Little things getting to me but at least I am able to do those little things this am...like move about and get my purse so I can lay back down and enter info for go fund me

And move about and find my glasses so I can read numbers off of check..and brain was working well enough to read those numbers and double check....

just wish health was doing better so these little things are not such big things causing my brain to inflame and the heart to pound with movement, etc.

Doing better now that I am laying down and typing this.

I konw there was more I wanted to let off steam about but brain is going..

Need to prioritise this am because I am able to do something...more..maybe..I see it is 9:15 am.

Brain and body usually quit on me by now.

If I am able, I guess I need to choose between cooking the hamburger patties or doing the paper work for the doc.

I think I will cook the hamburger patties and eat them throughout the day...then hopefully, I will have what it takes to do the paper work tonight.

I started feeling better at bedtime last night. Hope that happens again. Did not try and do anything last nigth. STill woke up in the middle of the night

So many things not in our control...the old yes..but we can control how we react.

Being kind to ones self is better for one's health.

Tutu...a honey bee was flying around me this am while I was sitting in the car out at Spirit Rock.

I was taking a picture of Rosie and the bee landed on the iphone..I moved the iphone to see what was blocking the camera lens.

Then it kept flying around me...I told it to go ahead and bit me as maybe it would help...but then it flew away.

Bumble bees are more intimadating (SP?)

kayak said.. "Not sure if its related but my neck spasms are getting worse and worse

I think the two things are closely related. [Big Grin]

SLOW DOWN and do what you are ABLE. (heart)

Glad your son was able to help you and that you enjoyed his visit!

Kam... My heart breaks for you on days it sounds so hard for you! May God hold you in his arms and give you peace!

I plan to go see my husband's show again today. We just got back from choir rehearsal.

Kam--I just hate it when everything seems to fall apart at once--body, car, and house.

I was feeling good today and probably overdid it. Worked outside for 3 hours. I mowed the lawn and then raked oodles of spruce needles and cones from where the tree was removed and deposited them elsewhere. Hope to get the stump ground soon and then top soil laid down so I can't plant some grass.

Young man came and planted the service berry tree. Turns out he does carpentry work on the side and his estimate to fix up my pergola was half the cost of the lowest estimate so far. I am hiring him.

Off to shower and watch Illini football.

Tutu...i guess i wrote it wrong...neck stuff has been coming pn for months...i kinda think its related to arm. I have been taking musc spasm.med tegularly and i had gone yrs without it. Also i have heat pads near each chair and use them.a lot now. I hadnt been using them like that

I did work hard and my bad arm and both legs are sore and tired...but the neck has been getting worse for awhile

Son left before ten. I sold the thing. Ten bucks. I couldnt face cleaning tho...theres sawdust in four rooms. Etta and i went to beach. It was beautiful but wind kept changing direction...sometimes good. Sometimes not

Almost ran.out of gas. Got stuck in wedding procession in traffic

I had walker andvtried to walk around bigvparking lot but 1/4 of the way i had to sit and rest...then straight back to car

I think i need to rest the rest of night and clean tomorrow

Hiker .. I bet it will be nice to get the grass all fixed and the pergola too!

kayak .. yes, the arm pain is likely from the vertebrae in your neck. I can't do anything physical like that or I'd be having surgery I don't want.

I enjoyed the show today. The crowd was really good and you could tell they were real fans. My husband did a good job on his solos!
