Considering how inaccurate the numbers are, the title of this is probably questionable. Who knows what state would come in at the top if real numbers of cases were available. However, good that the press is noticing lyme and not making too many mistakes in the story.
It would be nice if the media would quit saying that you have to have tick attachment for 24 to 36 hours. That is based on a few lab studies years ago with a handful of rodents. And anyway, so many of us never see the tick.

My oldest has lived in VT for the past three years. Good to know his part of the state, the Northeast Kingdom, has the lowest rate of Lyme. That's probably due to the high altitude and long very cold winters.
He and his wife say they have three seasons there, winter, mud season, and summer, which lasts about two months.
They are returning to NYC before the end of the month.

And the rodents were a bunch of IDSA doctors.
