Dr McSweegan, as you're still here reading every word I say, more persistent than a spirochaete and twice as virulent:

I am going to give you a science lesson.

Yes, I know that you know far more than I do about how to use (and misuse) BLAST and other nucleotide alignement tools, and I'm sure you know all kinds of weird and wonderful things about the exact composition of Borrelia and its plasmids - the REAL borrelia that is in the bodies of sick and dying adults, and sick and dying children - not the fake Bb sensu stricto B31 that never saw a human body, a "gift" from your fellow Biowarfare colleague and EIS officer Alan Barbour, arch-Denialist and writer of offensive books insulting the Lyme patient community...

Still, it seems to me you have forgotten some of the most basic concepts in science. Schoolboy science. Thirteen year olds' science.

What are the 2 most powerful biological instincts in living beings?

1. The instinct to stay alive.

And because we are human beings (well, we are, anyway, even if you're not), this means more than brute survival instinct that a mouse or a cockroach shares. It means to really LIVE, to be and FEEL alive, to run, to jump, to play, to dance and sing, to seek and do work that is rewarding, to paint, or scuba dive or climb Mount Everest or just climb a tree or whatever a man or woman or child loves to do etc etc

2. The instinct to reproduce.
Again, because we are not dumb animals, this means more than just to "have sex", it means to fall in love, to make love, to have children, to cherish your children and make them the centre of your world and derive joy and happiness from seeing them joyful and happy etc etc

So, what does all this mean?

It means, Dr McSweegan, that you and your hateful Denialist colleagues at NIH and CDC and IDSA Lyme Committee and HPA/PHE etc etc will NEVER win, despite the gargantuan resources you have put into subverting science, disabling millions in the process and causing an untold number of deaths.

You said to Susan O'Connell:

"This is an Information war".

Yes, you are right, McSweegan, it is an Information War, and you and your friends are Information War Criminals.

You have forgotten your junior-high-school science, McSweegan.

You are up against millions of people and the two strongest instincts in the world!!!

Yes, som will succumb to the disease and some will succumb to the despair you have created for us all, and they will commit suicide, tragically....But...There will ALWAYS be people who will not surrender!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if you keep your promise, McSweegan, and arrange for a "car to come up on the pavement" at me one day, still your problems will not be over - they will MULTIPLY.

You like maths problems, I see. You gave us all your garbage "odds" about Dr Sapi's results being due to contamination, but Dr Macdonald has debunked that very nicely. Well, here is a probability question for you, as you like them so much:

Given the fact that there are most likely multi-millions of people internationally infected with borrelia, and hundreds of thousands already know/suspect it, what is the probability that, NONE of those people would fight for the truth, given the fact that your Denial fights against the two strongest instincts known in the living universe - the instinct to LIVE and to be able to one day have a family, or to see your child thrive and be happy if your child is the borreliosis victim?

Well, you know, the chances that none of those millions would want to fight is nil.

Given the sheer number of victims again, what is the chance that not one of those people would be a doctor, a scientist, a nurse, a microbiologist etc etc and therefore in a better-than-average position to see through your lies, when even grocers and plumbers and architects and dustmen are learning about antigens and plasmids and pharmacology etc etc, so desperate are they to get well?

Again, the chance that there will be no medical/health/science professionals among those who want to fight back rather than surrender is NIL.

What is the chance that among those professionals, not a single one will come across the same information I did, implicating you and all your biowarfare colleagues (Steere, Barbour, Klempner, Tim Brooks in England, Schriefer, Mead, Dennis, Baker etc etc etc)in this Information Crime against Humanity?

Very very low, Dr McSweegan. Because if anyone spends enough time looking into this - and I'm not talking about secret files and classified stuff, but simply what is out there in plain view in the public domain, on Pubmed, in your own publicly available archived material from CDC and NIH and Public Health England etc etc - they will eventually come upon all the same information I did, and they will understand.

So you see? You will never never win. Even if you kill me.

The first time I heard someone say that Lyme was a biowarfare issue, I thought that person was out of their mind.

Then I read about the death of a young English researcher, on the day she was due to hand in her PhD on the topic of Lyme as a public health risk in an England where our official incidence was less than 100 cases a year for the WHOLE COUNTRY (1990s). I read about her death, and thought hmmmmm, maybe there is something to what that person told me after all.

And now ten years of research later, I know for sure that the person who I thought was "out of their mind" was right.

You may have made us all into prisoners, but you're a PRISONER too. You HAVE to spend the rest of your life trying to silence people like me, because you lack the integrity and the courage to admit you were wrong. After all, Ed, your surname is McSweegan, not Snowden.

You're a prisoner just like us, doomed to spend the rest of your life freaking out every night and day over people like myself.

Elena
