Beautiful Payne. He takes care of the little sparrows - Why wouldn't He care for us? He does! Always. Thank You Lord for watching over us.
For Veterans Day.
Psalm 91 is called the Soldiers’ Psalm. We are told that in World War I, the soldiers of the 91st Brigade recited the 91 Psalm daily.
This brigade engaged in three of the war’s bloodiest battles. Other units suffered up to 90% casualties, but the 91st Brigade did not suffer a single combat-related death.
God is willing and able to keep His words of covenant promise. Plead God’s 91 shield daily.
Confidently claim His rest, refuge, safety, covering, faithfulness, freedom from fear, angelic watchers, deliverance, and protection.
Psalm 91 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]
2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
There is a petition to sign at the bottom of the article which contains the Prayer.

Sammy, thanks for sending the thoughts. I am managing by God's grace. I am currently not treating as my doctor is testing for other conditions. Hopefully, we will get answers soon.
Yes, Pocono that is the key. Trust in God. It is trust that lays the foundation for all things.
"Trust in Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths."
When my eyes "see" situations like Sammy etc. I despair but when I trust my eyes "see" differently.
Give us the eyes to see You in all things.

Just wanted to thank all of you for praying for me. My girls and I made it through the week without my husband.
I mentioned before that I am not treating as we wait on test results. I have an over active parathyroid which may be causing some of my bone pain, insomnia etc.
I am scheduled for surgery on December 6th. My LLMD wants to wait to see what symptoms may resolve.
So, I am in a holding pattern. Waiting on God as we all are.

Hi all. Payne - that's good. No that's great. That's a love button.
soccermama - Have you seen the mini surgery for parathyroid?
I did have a site to find a doctor who does this. I'm not sure if I still have it or if the brain will help me find it but I'll try if you are interested.
Recovery is very quick. No need for hospital stay. I thought I may have the same issue but it's not looking that way.
Yes definitely waiting on God. I'm so happy you got through the week your husband was away. God bless all.

Psalm 33:22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.
soccermama, I'm glad to hear that you made it through the week alone with the girls even though it was so hard. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you as you try to cope with your symptoms and decide about the surgery.
I thought I'd share this verse above as I am needing to cling to it's promises right now. Maybe it will help someone else too.
Trying to cope with some words and actions of my earthly father have been exceptionally difficult and I'm feeling very hurt right now. I miss him and love him so much but I am not being loved back and that is heartbreaking. So I need my heavenly father to step in to fill the huge gaping hole in my heart.
Much more is going on than I can say. It just tears me up inside. And I'm struggling to fight Lyme and co and deal with numerous other serious health issues (like I need major back surgery to fix what all was broken and misshapen).
I feel like I can't handle what I'm being given and need some positives in my life to encourage.

Pocono, I am actually having the surgery at the Norman Parathyroid Center which is the link you gave me. He is the one who invented the surgery and the surgeons there average ten to twelve surgeries a day.
I don't want to risk damage to the voicebox which can happen if the surgeons aren't skilled.
I am so grateful to my LLMD. She was willing to test my parathyroid hormone levels even though my calcium levels were high normal.
We tested my PTH levels over five times. Three times they were elevated 2x, 3x, and 4x over the high end of the normal reference range.
Then my LLMD ordered a dexa scan and I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. My bones are worse than my mother's who is in her seventies.
Based on that information, we consulted with the surgeons at the center and they think it warrants a look. They believe I may have an benign tumor but they are pretty certain one gland is overactive and needs to be removed.
So, I will be making a trip to Florida in December for the surgery.
Sammy, I think about you often and pray that God's sustaining love will keep you. It is difficult to hold on when things seem so dark.
May His will be done here on earth as it already is in heaven!!!!

I'm happy to hear you're going to the best.
I read so much on his site and watched videos as I thought it may be a problem of mine. I flag high on calcium often and the rest of the time it's close to flagging.
My PTH however comes back at 18-22.
I pray your upcoming surgery provides you with great relief as I believe it will.
Sammy - love not reciprocated is very difficult especially when it is a close relative. Your Father in Heaven says He can provide us with much more than any earthly father ever could.
Jesus loves you and He is number One in every aspect of our lives.
Ask Him for peace and He will provide that for you. I'm sorry for all you endure.
Most men are notable for one conspicuous virtue or grace -- Moses for meekness, Job for patience, John for love. But in Jesus you find everything. J. Oswald Sanders

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. 2 Corinthians 13:14
A simple explanation for the Trinity comes from Charles Colson, who described the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as:
God Above, God Beside, God Within. We have a Father -- God above us. We have a Savior -- God beside us. We have a Spirit -- God within us.

Thanks Lymetoo. I loved that.
I hope it was OK to start a new God Thought. I felt well enough today.
Payne - Please repost your picture on the new thread or one of your choice.
I so love the pictures you post. God bless all.
P.S. I was looking for this thread for about 5 minutes early today. To make it easier I looked under the poster's names as opposed to the title of the post.
So I kept looking for Payne. Couldn't find it. Duh! I was in Medical!
