Hi, Im just scared. I keep having feelings complicated by bipolar that, I want to give up at the same time keep fighting. This is so much of the truth.
I have flares up the whole right side. I could manage this with doxy and septra. Off for six weeks of Septra. I woke up with night terrors and am terrorizing myself at the same time.
I have a son. I can't keep up with his perfectly healthy father. I don't have anyone or much money as I am spending it all on my pscyh doctors. I could maybe afford $200 dollars a month. But visions of giving up are running through my head daily in a serious way.

Hi, I am sorry about your relapses.
It sounds just awful to get that far and then relapse.
Personally, septra and doxy go after bartonella.
Some of what you're describing sounds like my bart symptoms.
When bart flares, or I herx I think the best descriptor to describe me is "mentally unstable" or "squirelly".
I have had great progress with rifampin and minocycline, and now rifampin and azithromycin.
In Dr.H's new book he actually recommends 3-4 abx for bartonella at a time:
Plaquenil, septra, azithromycin
Plaquenil, rifampin, azithromycin
Plaquenil, doxycycline, Factive, rifampin
Of course I'm no doc, and maybe you were treated for other coinfections, but I just wanted to share that it seems like bartonella could be a player in your relapses.
Best wishes, and if you're having a particularly bad day and need to talk, PM me.
