I think if you leave early you'll be OK. It should be OK south of you????

It's going to be bad here too. Have a great trip!

Simple,,,leave right now. Jump in and go. You can always find a motel for a couple days.

Why fight the weather.

Met a snow plow at 4:30 this morning on the way to work.

Nary a snow flake in site either fallen or blowing. It started right soon after tho.

They deiced the roads before hand so they are good here. Just a light dusting,,all done now

Cept for the 30mph wind driving single digit temps...Wind chill below zero

Guess I need to go wax the shovel. Yes, I seriously apply my cross country ski wax to my shovel or spray on silicone. Makes the snow slide off and not stick to the shovel.

I hope the snow hold off here--hate to drive my new car in snow!

I did grab my 2 pairs of "yak" tracks and put one in the car and one by the front door. These are great items that you put over your shows and they have wire like cleats to grip the ice. We get a lot of ice here and the trek from the parking lot into the school building is always treacherous.

We have ice covering here on everything and the wind was blowing hard enough to cause the ice to break off the branches...it sounded like breaking crystal or glass...so cool!

So glad we escaped the ice part! I think we have at least 6 inches of snow and more to come.

Wish I were able to tromp around in it!!

We have more than 12 inches of snow! Yikes! I hope I have enough FOOD here for the next several days! May take a bit of doing to get out!

I do have lots of tuna just in case! [Smile]

My husband just went out to get gas. (uh, honey, I was smart enough to fill MY CAR before the storm, but I digress)

So.. at least I know we can get out. I think. He's not back yet, but we know the major road is cleared. It's from HERE to there that is hard!

Roads are pretty icy around here. At least the power hasn't gone out yet.

Kids are enjoying a day off from school. [Smile]

Hubby said it's terrible out there. He's not sure how he's going to get to work tomorrow. He DID park at the top of the hill. That will help, as long as his car doesn't freeze in its tracks!

linky.. hope your kids enjoy their day!

We MAY get a light sprinkling of snow here tomorrow- it happens once every 4 years or so, and gone in a day or 2,

but my kids are beside themselves in anticipation :-)
As a former Midwest gal, I really love not having snow and below zero temps!

Stay safe everyone!

Thought yesterdays 4 BELOW was fresh enough but todays 8 below was even more so!!!!

Cars groan when starting. Driving on ice is every day normal,,,just remember your on ice,,slow down and leave enough distance.

Turtle and the hare,,,you get there faster going slower on ice

don.. driving on a hill with ice is not even possible .. Unless you enjoy a free-fall or roller coaster effect! [Big Grin]

It was actually below zero here last night. We're running 20's for highs. Would love to thaw out sometime soon.

My husband didn't have to go to work today, so he went back up the hill to get the car. He brought it back. He said it's a big mess out there. I would imagine so!

Church was canceled since it is at the top of a big hill and the guy couldn't get there to clear it. Life in the Ozarks is just grand in the winter!

We've been very spoiled though.. hardly any snow the past 3-4 yrs.
