I was negative 2x...but had some Lyme specific bands. My immune system is just too weak to for a response and I feel my main probs are massive co-infections.

My husband was IgG and IgM positive and my son was IgG positive.

I tested positive IgeneX in 2006 when I found LLMD.

In 1993, tested negative from one of the big name labs by my non-LLMD back then.

When I told MD about my positve test via Igenex, he said "they have an axe to grind."

So do these medical "experts" think Igenex just makes something up so LLMDs can make money treating us???

I'm being sarcastic of course.

I've wondered since what exactly he meant by that though.

Our daughter has been negative on IGeneX Western Blot 11 times, never positive.

She has had different positive bands but never the 2 or more at the same time for Igenex never mind the CDC standard.

Over the past 4 years she has had on

IgM - 34, then only 41 as IND.

IgG - 30, 41, and 31, 34 & 39 IND.

The time she tested positive for the culture she had no positive bands for the Western Blot.

I meant eveeyone I knew tested negative on all tests like elisha and western blot. Not until they got igenex. Were they positive.

But what does it matter if no doc believes ya anyway or believes in lyme.

60-70% will be positive for those who have Lyme disease. There are 27 reasons why antibody Lyme tests will not be positive for people who have the condition, but I'm not at home right now to get the website listing the reasons. If anyone knows it, feel free to post it.

That's why doctors treat clinically, by history and symptoms. Sometimes after some treatment, people's tests turn positive when their antibodies are strong enough to mount a defense.

I only had a couple of positive bands, a couple indiscriminate bands and the rest were negative.

I had every Lyme band high positive on igg and igm +++. Horribly sick but of course Quest was negative. This was back in 2005.

27 Reasons why someone could have a false negative Lyme test

2. Antibodies are in immune complexes

3. Spirochete encapsulated by host tissue (i.e.: lymphocytic cell walls)

4. Spirochete is deep in host tissue (i.e.: fibroblasts, neurons, etc.)

6. No spirochetes in body fluid on day of test

7. Genetic heterogeneity (300 strains, 100 in U.S.)
