I especially like the one about not thinking about what I could do in the past. I am 11 years older now and couldn't do have the stuff I used to do anyway.
Also--wear comfortable shoes--YES!

The author, Toni Bernhard, has an excellent book called "How To Be Sick, A Buddhist-Inspired Guide for the Chronically Ill and Their Caregivers."
You don't have to be Buddhist to benefit from this wonderful book.
