OK. I can tell the brain is working better ...at least for the moment.

I wrote a note to the pharmacist asking him how much it is going to cost to cover the gaba, tramdol and sleeping meds.

I am hoping to be doing well enough to drop it off this am.

My hope is I will be approved for long term care and that th eprescription coverage will be taken care of or go back to normal.

I still am not sure why I was appproved for extra help last year and not this year.

I have medicare A dn B.

Wondering what others have for prescription coverage.

I currently have Cigan Health Springs. I need to pay $300 and then they will pick up only 25% of the cost plus I need to pay $25.00 a month.

Need to stop now. Just typing this out with my eyes closed is making my brain worse.

I hope I made sense.

I also was able to go back thru some old emails. I had one where the guy told me how much income a year was needed to be approved for the extr help with prescritipons.

It looks like I am $100 over that amount the best my brain could figure at this time.

Still trying to put the pieces together.

I know this is not unusual as I have heard others talk about how they just missed out on getting the health coverage needed by a few dollars.

Do you have someone who can help you sort all of this out??

I don't have any knowledge about the new health care coverage, nor any knowledge on Medicare. I have heard that the new ACA will be bumping a lot of people off of Medicare and onto Medicaid.

I know nothing, however, so that is just something to explore as a possibility.

I don't think this has anything to do with the ACA.

It was confusing last year. I was sent a letter telling me I was available for help with prescriptions and then sent a letter telling me I wasn't available.

All I know is I stopped by the pharmacy and talked with them and they were able to fix things last year.

That pharmacy closed down and I went to another one and still was able to get help.

I did send a couple of emails to people to see if they might be able to elp. Sometiems they respond back and sometimes they don't.

I got dropped thru the cracks last year when I sent an email and was told they would be assigning someone to help me.

I thought I had to apply each year. But, I tink it depends on which medicare and prescription plan you are on??

RE: ACA or not

My caregiver said that she needed me to fill out some papers as tehy got something like 200 or 300 or 400 new clients at the first of the year.

My brain was only taking in a word here and there of what she said.

I am not sure why they got so many new clients.

But, I am glad that people will be getting help now.

i think it has to do more with the governor and other public servants agreeing to extend medicaid for the next 3 yrs with the help of the federal government

I had no idea that each state was different until i moved to AZ.

I had 40 hrs a month caregiver help in CA. I rec'd 4 hrs a month when i moved to AZ. Not good.
