Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>>,

Dealing w/ flu as well as Lyme issues right now...and the annoying habit of the park management to turn off everyone's water w/o any warning.

Which they did yesterday,again...our water has been off nineteen times since Nov. of 2012.

Just moments ago we were alerted that the *power company has to work on the transformer... so no power starting in about 10 minutes... never mind I've got to get the clothes in the wash done.

Well, *they at least warned us,unlike the park management w/ the water issue.

Are we allowed to pout?? My head hurts, my chest hurts and I want my mom [whom I don't have here on earth anymore]. I seem to have lost the ability to be a grown up today...

Stomping my little paws virtually cause I can't do it physically right now... I know this will all calm down eventually.

Right now,I cannot go anywhere, er...except the restroom... Aaarghhhh...OwooOOOOOooooRoooHoo!

Cannot visit w/ friends, they don't need the flu,if they don't have it already [many here do]. And I can't talk for more thn a couple minutes because my wolfish froggy voice hops away...

Jus' me-myself-an'-I and the Flu-Achoo,

Power came back on few minutes ago, so hopefully, they have the transformer fixed, last year it blew up during a lightening storm. There's still dark smudges around it, on the sidewalk.

We met a new neighbor, who just caught a stray little fuzzy/fluffy white dog, she and her big dog, were out walking. She has the flu too, and it isn't going away very quickly. Poor lady needed out of the house for a few minutes.

So many folk have this 'flu' around here it is scary. One older friend is in hospital because of this.

And we've an 8 month old little relative being treated for the same type of bug. She lives down South. Poor little dear had a high fever for a couple days. Her Mom reports she is better today!

Well the clothes I started earlier are washing now... and so far the water is staying on.

Okay <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>> hugs to all, I'm gonna post this and see time difference now.

Silver... try this.. found it on the net...

Cold and Flu Fighter:

In 1928 Richard Simmons, MD hypothesized that colds and flu virus enter through the ear canal. His findings were dismissed by the medical community. According to Dr. Simmons, contrary to what you may think or have been taught about how you catch the flu or the cold there is only one way that you can catch the two, and that's via the ear canal not through the eyes or nose or mouth as most have believed.

Keeping your fingers out of your ears will greatly reduce your chances of catching them, but then again these two are microscopic and can be air-born and may land on or even in your ear. Once they have entered the inner-ear (middle-ear) there they begin their breeding process, and from there they have access to every avenue throughout our body to travel to and to infect and make us sick.

In 1938 German researchers had great success using hydrogen peroxide in dealing with colds and the flu. Their data has been ignored (maybe suppressed) for over 60 years.

For many years people in the know have been attacking the Influenza Virus & Common Cold where they begin their breeding process and not where they have already have spread to and that's the inner-ear (middle). It is important to begin treatment as soon as symptoms appear.

We have found remarkable results in curing the flu & cold within 12 to 14 hours when administering a few drops of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) into each infected ear, (sometimes only one ear is infected) The H2O2 starts working within 2 to 3 minutes in killing the flu or cold; there will be some bubbling and in some cases mild stinging occurs.

Wait until the bubbling & stinging subside (usually 5 to 10 min) then drain onto tissue and repeat other ear. A bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide in 3% solution is available at any drug store for a couple of dollars.

To cure the flu you'll need to repeat this process two or more times at one or two hours intervals until there is no more bubbling when you put H2O2 in your ear(s).

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,

Lol, I can't get out to get into any trouble... [Smile] , but that ear and peroxide info' is very interesting for certain.

Gotta locate our ear dropper, and give it a try before bed time. TxC's Dr. ordered him ear drops, awhile back w/ quite a bit of peroxide in them. He gets dry ear/w/ wax plugs.

My ears and jaw have been hurting w/ this bug, and we keep peroxide around to clean with, and for laundry too.

I appreciate the info', this bug feels like it wants to hang on forever. Gotta get rid of it.

We haven't been able to get to church services in awhile. And I can't get out to help TxC' shop even right now.

I don't mind the power company so much,if they let us know what is up. But the water mess here in the park is scary.

There are several retired folk here w/ health issues, and both water and power are super important.

When the Lightning storms hit last year the fire dept. was checking on folks w/o power, so many use electrical medical devices.

I am so glad we got out of the snow and ice mess, once in a blue moon it does snow, but doesn't stick, except up above on the mountain.

And oh boy can it get hot, it was 118* F. last May here. That is way early for the heat to get bad tho', usually it isn't bad 'til July/August.

Gotta go for now, TxC' is fixing us a hot coffee drink to clear breathing[which generally puts me to sleep [until my bladder wakes me up.].

hi wolf pack sister.

hope you are off in dreamland now and sniffle free.

I tried that peroxide in the ear thing. make sure it is the low percentage...

and be ready to lose your balance temporarily....be sure to be sitting down when you do it.

sending good howls your way and some good back scratches.

at least that's what my dog always loved. a good scratch. so wolves must too [Smile]

No need for a dropper. I use the lid and pour a bit in my ears. I lie down on each side for 10 min while the peroxide does its work.

I always used this when my ears would hurt and it sure helps. I had never read that it actually helped viruses! That is so cool!

As for your heat.. I would be more worried about losing power in the summer than now. EEK!!

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo and GretaM-pack-sister >>>>>,

Well I've done both ears one time each, wow did it boil and bubble... a lot!

The right ear made me really dizzy,so I have to wait for TxC' to get home from an appt. and some shopping [he's feeling a little better, but really tired].

I cannot lay down flat, so I had to angle over sitting in my comfy recliner. The bubbling sure felt odd.

Greta, You made us laugh about the good back scratching. Our Husky/Wolf/Chow mix enjoyed such things... thump thump thump...that'd be her paw hitting the floor....LOL. I miss her so much! She was beautiful!

Lymetoo, the power did go out last year in the heat, we made it thru one night w/no power, and had to go to a motel the second night,so TxC' could use his C-PAP machine.

It was so darn hot,and then it rained, and thundered and lightninged more, and the winds came up, warm and actually to humid. This is normally super dry here.

We do have a monsoon/flood season, and when it isn't too hot, the rains can actually clean the air a bit. But the floods make a mess debris and mud all over. No telling what this year will be like.

There is also a winter cold season, when the temp reaches 22* F at night, cold enough...but not minus -4* F like SE Idaho gets. Still wouldn't want a power outage at 22 degrees either.

I am hoping working on my ears can help speed up the recovery... this flu is bad.Healthy folk are having it two and three weeks and then relapsing, not good.

Have to figure out a lite lunch shortly... Will check back later.

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,

Thanks for the plant and herb info'! I don't use ABX unless I absolutely have to, I have developed an allergy to most of them ,so they are last resort emergency stuff now.

I have to be careful w/ true licorice [blood pressure], but we occasionally find tea blends w/ it. I use Oregano oil, encapsulated, now. And I have used Mullein but am out right now.

The Mullein tastes odd,but it has an added benefit for me. Sometimes when my Urinary tract gets more painful than usual, such as during a flu episode, the Mullein in tea form seems to sooth the whole UT.

My Maternal Grandma used to use licorice root tea, and Dad's momma used slippery elm and wild cherry bark tablets for cold/flu issues.

Reminds me w/ herbs etc. one time, after reading about the benefits of blackberry leaf, for diarrhea, I obtained some from the Land lady's blackberry patch up in Idaho.

I sprinkled a couple of crushed dried leaves on my little helping of ice cream. And it stopped everything... uhm... for days!

I've learned to try carefully, and in low doses w/ my herbs and such at first! [Smile] Thanks again for the info',I'll be looking in to some more of these.
