I heard this quote of his and I just had to share it:
"When you're going through Hell, keep going!"
It certainly seems to apply to us, doesn't it? I've been on this road for 22? years, waiting for "through" to be over!

I might also remind everyone that we have been handed an opportunity. Yes, OPPORTUNITY. Our strength, our perseverence, our grace is being observed by our family, friends...even our health care providers.
My grandchildren have great love and respect for me. It is my secret weapon. They can't quit because I won't! They have also learned compassion, healthy habits et al.
My granddaughter broke the school record in 100m her first week in high school. She scores most of her team's soccer goals, even when she was bleeding all over the place. Her coach said "Man, she's tough!" My son looked at me and smiled. She said one time " Mimi, I'm catching up to you...better watch out!"
I hope that soon I can accept their frequent invitations to go stay with them part of the time. My son is essentially a single dad due to his wife's mental illness and he keeps all 3 kids busy in sports. He himself plays on an intramural soccer team. But they need us and I WILL make it! 6 more months on IV's we hope will do it. My husband is nearly done so I have hope!
