For whatever things were written before were written for our learning,

that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another,

according to Christ Jesus.

Beautiful, Payne! Wouldn't it be wonderful to see an actual sunset looking like this?!?

I've seen many contrails (i.e. trails left from flying airplanes in the sky) in the form of crosses when I had never before in all my life seen them!

Our Heavenly Father is always sending us subtle messages, but we often just miss them or don't pay attention!

John 15:1-27

“I am the true vine,
and my Father is the vinedresser.

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away,
and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes,
that it may bear more fruit.
Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.

Abide in me, and I in you.

As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine,

neither can you,
unless you abide in me.

I am the vine; you are the branches.

Whoever abides in me and I in him,
he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing.

Our prayers for those you call upon the name JESUS.

1 Corinthians 15:51-57

"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

What a precious promise......

Dogsandcats, that promise is not just for the resurrection. The last line says that the sting of death is sin.

If death has been defeated, then the sting of death has been defeated. That means sin is defeated also.

What did sin cause? Sickness which leads to death.

So, I am reminding my body on a regular basis that the sting has been defeated.

It is warfare!!!!

May everyone be blessed today and dwell in the knowledge that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us.

May our inner man be strengthened and our minds know the hope or our calling.

Dogandcats YES what a PERCIOUS PROMISE \o/
and
socermama,
its a hard reflection upon myself that
- sickness is from my own sins -
I ask The Lord to remove sin,
from the body
thru the works of Jesus.
and show how to use this body to
YOUR WILL.. and Glory.
Great wisdom comes from sharpening
The SWORD.
bring a unknown Blessing on
those who call on CHRIST !!

"One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:

that I may dwell in the house of
the LORD all the days of my life,

to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe
in his dwelling;

he will hide me in the shelter
of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock."
(Psalm 27:4-5)
May all that call on THE SHEPHERD,
find Peace.

Payne, I wasn't saying it is our personal sin that causes sickness. What I was saying is that when sin entered the world, sickness entered the world.

However, it is a mute point. Jesus defeated the consequences of sin. He died to set us free from those consequences. He also died to free us from the guilt of sin too.

So, I am reminding my body that it is free from the effects of sin. That is the truth. Truth is not dependent on my circumstances.

RFID Opening Doors for Mark of the Beast?

http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/healthscience/2014/April/RFID-Tech-Opening-Doors-for-Revelation-Fulfillment/

I've been reading and listening lately. Not up to much else. I'm seeing what's happening around the world and can't help but think the Rapture is drawing near.

Some credit cards have this chip.

Is there an update on Joshua? I've been keeping him and his mom in my prayers. [group hug]

Hi dear friends,

I've been reading daily, just not posting.

Thanks for all you have shared.

I think the signs are there more and more in the world that something big is about to happen.

The first of the four blood moons is on April 15.

I am praying for all of you, for Joshua, and for all those who are in need.

Thank you for praying and asking about Joshua.

He made it last Thursday from a Africa to Paris.

The doctors at the Children's hospital in Paris checked him out, gave him IV drip of nutrition and fluids

And amazingly he is on a plane right now from Paris to LA.

How this child lived with a burst appendix and limited medical care only happened because of your prayers, prayers of other faithful children of God AND God honoring and answering those prayers.

Pray that he continues to thrive and gets any necessary counseling or physical rehab .

Thank you and a God bless you.

Thank you God for helping my best friend's son get a stem cell transplant for his serious leukemia. The donor was from Germany and God was so good to place in his heart the need to donate his bone marrow at this time.

Praying my friend's son--Mark--makes a full recovery (he's 20).

My friend has helped me so much when I was terribly ill and it breaks my heart to see her and her family go through this.

I have been giving thought to sin and sickness again lately. Am I sick because of my sins? Should I not even question why I'm sick?

Payne - I went to the book of Job when I became too sick to function. I know Job's sickness and tragedies were caused by satan. God allowed satan to test Job's faith.

Job was a righteous man.

Then I look at what God did with Moses and he murdered.
Then there is Paul. He persecuted Christians.

Everything happens for the good of God's greater plan.

Years ago I had a conversation with a sister in Christ and said to her that I wonder if God is testing me.

Her reply was that maybe He is testing those around me to see how they respond to me being sick. I hope not. Most failed miserably IMHO.

I pray for them as I do for us.

pocono, nice mind full thinking... (=

I do not question God, His Mysterious ways to my man mind, as I can't not think as He..

for he has been there far to many times for me to doubt ? HIS WILL...

I ve always wanted in my heart to be used for God's Glory..

I have what I need, I do not want.. only to better serve HIM..

I lived a full life at 57...

and yes I would enjoy finishing up my time here, with friends.

Just praying my days for others..

there are many far less forturnate then I ..

I had a Awakening during Lyme,
which GOD,

with out any doubt told me to READ

the BIBLE FULLY and I would be FREE...

I thrist now daily to not study or make right HIS WORD, I just read..
I know that I may not remember what I read -

but, that i digested it and the spirit within me knows it,
and when the day comes for me to speak upon the Lord, that my Holy Ghost /Spirit,
be it an ANGEL or a sparrow,
it will speak out,
what I have read into my being forever..
to the LORD as in my
HOPE of being worthy of THE BOOK of GOOD LIFE

so, i am anxious and find GREAT JOY to grab my Bible and just read...
some said start in psalms others
new testiment, ME

I am starting in Genesis,
thats right the very beginning...
ADAM and EVE...
and I am understanding much in it...
The POWER in it does me well.

God, has made me sit in poor health so that i may have time to read,
the Greatest Gift of my Life... THE BOOK of LOVE a gathering of
Letters from OUR FATHER ABOVE ALL else..

**that was heavy, whew. but, it would never have been said if I wasn't here and You all reply and share as WE SHARPEN OUR SWORDS... together. ♥ [group hug]

I have soo much to share...
yet, with lyme we tend to say it short.. there are no short cuts to God's Will,
All Praises to THE "HIS" KINGDOM,
I am not a god, I am a man that fears GOD.
SO WE READ.......
And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
(Exodus 23:28)
What the hornets were we need not consider.

They were God's own army which He sent before His people to sting their enemies and render Israel's conquest easy. Our God by His own chosen means will fight for His people and gall their foes before they come into the actual battle.
Often He confounds the adversaries of truth by methods in which reformers themselves have no hand. The air is full of mysterious influences which harass Israel's foes. We read in the Apocalypse that "the earth helped the woman."
Let us never fear. The stars in their courses fight against the enemies of our souls. Oftentimes when we march to the conflict we find no host to contend with.

"The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." God's hornets can do more than our weapons. We could never dream of the victory being won by such means as Jehovah will use.

We must obey our marching orders and go forth to the conquest of the nations for Jesus, and we shall find that the Lord has gone before us and prepared the way; so that in the end we will joyfully confess, "His own right hand and his holy arm, have gotten him the victory."

God Bless those whom here, do not look upon me(wayne) as a Deacon, A Preacher, A Minster... rather a brother in Christ we share.. [group hug]

Pocono, Jesus said that I have come that I might show you the Father. He also said, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father.

What did Jesus do? He went about healing the sick, binding up the broken hearted, casting out demons. We never see it recorded that Jesus said your sins have made you sick.

As a matter of fact, after Jesus had healed a blind man, his disciples asked him who had sinned him or his father. He replied, neither.

I do not understand why His children are sick. but I do know He came to set us free from the effects of sin which encompasses sickness.

That is what I will believe and when I doubt, my husband believes it for me.

Payne, your post- at the end- reminded me of a song my kids came home singing from VBS: can't remember exactly...

Not my brother
Not my sister
Jus' me 'o Lord, standing in the need of prayer.

Not my deacon
Not my preacher
Jus' me o' Lord, standing in the need of prayer...

Amen to your prayer. No one and no thing can stand in the way of God. Amen! I needed that reminder, thank you all.

Good Sunday morning brothers and sisters.

I love having all of you to share thoughts with.
I remember hearing a sermon about trials and tribulations. What was said was that God may be molding us to be what He wants us to be.

In a sense, we should feel honored that He chose us. I am honored to be His child. He wants me despite my being a sinner.

Lately, I've been mourning my life as I knew it. Not all of it though. ha ha I've been missing being able to do things I used to be able to do.

Payne - you said exactly what I believe. The part about God having you sit there in poor health so that you can read His love letters to you.

I know I wouldn't have gotten as close to Him as I have if it hadn't been for getting so sick.

During my mourning, I thought about what I would do if I had my health back. I think I might slip back into "I have to get everything done".

I'd be afraid that "everything" wouldn't include reading/listening/sharing His Word. I don't want to go there. I'd rather stay sick.

Instead of feeling sorry for myself being homebound, looking at these same walls for nearly 10 1/2 years, I need to change my perspective.

Thank You Lord for providing these walls for me to look at. I have food, shelter, warmth and all that I need because You gave it to me. Most importantly, I have You and Your Word. More important than the rest.

Thank you soccermama. We do need those reminders like your husband gives. Have a blessed day.
In Christ.

I just finished watching Turning Point with Charles Stanley.

He made a point which I never thought of. He said no one goes to Jesus first. Jesus comes to us. It is up to us whether we respond.

He comes to us in many ways. It could be through hardships,...
