Ohhhhh. last night's posts sound like winter is gone and we're getting back to normal it was really warm here yesterday and I sat out while etta explored the yard now the snow is low

I'm getting ready for the cable guy to come

The TV in the exercise room hasnt't worked since before my surgeries and since I couldn't even get in the room until recently I didn't worry about getting it fixed

but I think I'm ready now very soon at least

five minutes a day or 5 minutes 3 times a day

and hopefully the rain will get rid of the salt on the road so it doesn't bother etta to walk out there now

Some snow coming this way tomorrow.

I drove over to my parents this afternoon to stay for a few days. It is only an hour away, but I have not been here since Christmas due to the snowy weather.

My exercise was to vacuum out their car. I took it to the automatic car wash. It had not been cleaned since last May when my brother was here. Now it looks brand new.

Mom said she is pulling out the champagne and shrimp tonight. Who am I to argue with my mother about such thing? [Big Grin]

Cool here, but I got outside and walked a bit.

Did my shoulder and elbow exercises twice. Go to PT tomorrow.

I am enjoying life at the retirement home where my parents live. I don't have to cook!

Hope you all are having a good week.

Tutu-how are you?

Monday-Super busy at work today. No exercise today but it's on the horizon.

Hey, I had shrimp on the grill last night too. Had a tough steak, shrimp, scalloped potatoes and grilled zucchini. It was delicious, except the steak!

I'm looking at the temp here at work and it's 66 degrees already. The weeds are already growing like crazy in my yard.

See you all tomorrow!

I'm not doing so great. I've had to cut out many foods and supplements due to the itching. It's better but not fun.

Hands hurt too, so hard to type.

BTW, Kam's computer is down, so I'm not sure how she is doing.

I was wonderimg about kam-that must be really hard for her

I didnt sleep well for second nite cuz my -too new to break furnace- was making noises. This had been an ongoing problem since it was put in last year

Then i had to get up early for the repair man and he has been here a long time and i am just so tired

I was supposed to have lunch with a friend but havent heard from her...i might just go back to bed-i still have to deal with the tv not working at all since the cable guy replaced the box

Maybe when i wake up tomorrow things will start going right

Exercise? ... i might have to shovel tomorrow

Tuesday-No exercise today. Had my mad morning rush here at work but now things are settling down and it's not even 1. Might have some filing to do after lunch so I'm going to count that as exercise. I have to go up a large flight of stairs and lug the files too. [Big Grin]

TuTu-Darn. Hope you find out what is causing the itching. You know my Mom's been having itching lately too. I bought her some generic Benadryl. Makes her sleepy but she said it helped but she still needs to find out what's going on too. Good luck!

Kayak-We're in the same boat again. I've been having trouble sleeping lately too. Might have to much on my mind. I hear a couple of Harps might help. [Wink]

See you all tomorrow!

It snowed just a bit here, but was icy enough that I did not walk outside. Went to physical therapy, though.

Tutu--I am saying some prayers for your itching.

LP--I pray that what needs fixing will get fixed quickly.

AK--hang in there.

I am battling a respiratory infection--very minor at this point.

So, I did get in my PT exercises and then bundled up and went for a short walk in the brisk wind.

I am enjoying my spring break from school even though I am not heading to the ocean like a gadzillion others.

Am off to church tonight.

Thursday-Finally got some sleep. Had to resort to generic Motrin PM and 2 beers but slept like a baby.

Not as crazy today at work and I'm so relieved.

Brought a cheaper version of Spam with cheese and tomato sandwich for lunch. Can't wait til tomorrow so I can buy lunch. [Roll Eyes]

Still haven't been able to manage any exercise yet. If I have to go upstairs and file today I'm going to count that again.

Have a wonderful day gang!

I'm here! Went to PT and got another exercise to do. My shoulder is getting better, but my elbow is not.

Ran a few errands and almost got blown away in the wind and rain.

Plan to stay in this evening.

Tried to sleep in this morning, but was not too successful.

Did my PT exercises and will do them again this afternoon. Takes almost an hour by the time I ice the shoulder and elbow. Gong to be tough when I go back to work on Monday.

Very short walk this morning. Need to go grocery shopping.

So dreary and damp here. Give me sunshine! [Cool]

Have a good weekend.

Friday-No exercise today. Whew! I'm glad it's Friday. One more day to go then 2 days off! Course I'm going to my Mom's for another round of work to get her house ready to sell.

You know gang, I need a vacation. I'm tired. [Roll Eyes]

Hiker-I've got a bad left shoulder which caused my elbow to blow out. Have you tried wearing a tennis elbow strap on your forearm? It really helped me a lot. I had so much pain and it helped to relieve it. As far as PT went if my elbow became worse my ortho doc discontinued PT to let the inflammation subside.

Kayak-I'm reminded from time to time that I've only got one normal arm. I forget all the time until I try to pick up something heavy or buckle my seatbelt. Having limitations can be inconvenient. Hang in there.

Hey, it's raining here so maybe I'll get a reprieve this weekend and I'll be able to veg out! [Big Grin]

See you all tomorrow!

Ak--I wore a tennis elbow strap for several weeks. In my case, it did not seem to help. The physical therapist said to leave it off for now and if needed she will find a good type for my problem.

I just think I need to be patient and that is not my strong suit. I want to get out and work in the yard or get my bike out and at least pump up the tires and I can't even do that.

I keep telling myself--this is the summer when I won't have to ask for too much help with yard work. Drat--I need help and unfortunately help costs money.

Don't mind my rantings--I'm just a in a "pissy" [cussing] mood today.

I do have an energy healing later this afternoon and that always calms me and also helps with pain etc.

Hope everyone gets some rest this weekend.

I'm here!! I'm doing a bit better... Whew!

I've been venturing out and able to add my curcumin to my supplement list again. So happy for that!

I'm hungry though!

I will see an allergist next week. Hoping to find out what I'm allergic to. I know I have food allergies.

TuTu.....alergies were one thing a couple fo docs tested when my health went south...part of the piking and proding and samll tool box the insurance company had to work with.

I was told that I would really have to figure oit out myself...after they did somethings on my back

He said he had learned that even though some things show up that I might be alergic too and others don't what really matters is what I notice

and that can be tricky as somethings take a while before having a reaction.

Hoping you have a better experience.

This is the same doc who thrwew away 2 of his thermometers and told me my thermometers at home were most likely no good as if my body temp was really what was being registerred..well..it was just too low to be that low???

Typing with eyes closed again.

WAnted to report in that I was finally able to do a bit...took a couple of excedrin around 2:30 am. Pressure in brain is building again so need to veg.

Not sleeping at night again. I think it is because I am not getting enough food in me but not sure.

Had caregiver use her hour to get food for me. She only got about $30 worth of food in thath hour...missed a lot of things on the list.

I was finally able to get thte matttriess pad and sheets off of the bed....I had spilled maple syrup and coffee while trying to eat in bed this week.

I usually eat in bed laying down but health was so low even eating was a problem.

Able to put a bedspread over the mattress and find a quilt to put over me until the caregiver can put clean sheets on the bed.

I need to wash the mattress pad when able..hopefully before the caregiver gets here.
STill trying to find someone to pay to come in once a week for an hour....weird that is so difficult o do.

But, I have heard others ay to that they have trouble in this area.

People will make appts to come but never show.

tutu...a nutritionist told me if it is white it ain't right

no white sugar of course, flour, white rice, white potatoes...i can't do red or purple potatoes either, dairy and that is all my brain can recall right now.

I also was able to stack the bedding that needs to be washed in the hallwy a and put the clothes that need to be washed in the laundry basket.

Nt sure where I stand with quarters for the laundry room..hoping I have enough when health is doing well enuogh tow ash.

Feeling angry....but know once I get some help in here things will improve.

I have had several neighbvors offer to ehlp.

TWo I think will work out.

ONe is out of state right now...she is the one who was able to get groceries for me last time...took her about 20 min to do what it takes the caregiver oan hour...go figure??

Another I think will work out too but not sure how to communicate with her.

She said she will pick up meds etc for me if I need her to do so.

I think she is in her 80's.

But, at the time I needed someone to pick up my meds...I wasn't able to talk to let her know..she susggested I write it down and leave a note on her door.

But, it takes too much ou tof me when health is that low to type it out and get to her door via the power chair and elevator, etc

So, got in the car and went down the street to the pharmacy and was able to pick up the sleeping meds msyelf.

I was in my pj's.

Thankfuly, there was no one else there and they were able to help me right away.

it is a ma and pa pharmacy.

I am thinking when health is doing well enough I will do meds via mail and order dog food on line to have it delivered and go back to getting dry goods groceries on line and have them delivered..

...last time I did that I never go tthe box of laundry detergent, etc although it said it was delivered.

I even had a note on my door telling the delivery person to put it inside the door and had the door ajar.

But, I have don ee thsi in the apst and the delivery person still just drops the box off outsid of my door..doesn't even read the note.

SAme with cable guy when he came. I had a note on my door for him saying the door was open and come in as I can't hear when someone knocks ontt he door...

He never even noticed the note..I just happened to notice Rosie went to the door and was staring at it...that si my clue someoen is at the door

But, I noticed tha tas I happened to get up from m y bed to go into the kitchen...if I was still in bed I would not have been able to see her staring at the door

I need to have the next service dog trained to let me know when someone is at the door

I also was able to ut some dishe sin the dishwasher and start it up yesterday..nto sure I wrote about atht.

Kam--sounds like some progress.

Also sounds like the caregiver is not so great. Sorry to hear that.

If she is provided by an agency I think I would complain and see if you can get someone else.

I am doing lots of laundry today, cooking etc. May take a walk later or may take a nap instead.

Saturday-I'm wiped out! Went to a local eatery/watering hole that has live music on the weekends after work last night.

Ate fried chicken livers and tossed back a couple and had the pleasure of listening to a great local band that played all their own music.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Hiker-What exactly is energy healing? I wouldn't mind trying it myself.

TuTu-Are you taking the curcumin for pain? I think I tried it for awhile but it's been so long ago I don't remember what I was taking it for. Figures.

Kam-Long time no see. Glad your posting back here.

See you all next week!

Thanks for tips, Kam. Yes, it's discouraging that I have to figure out my food allergies by myself. I began eating more normally yesterday and now I feell sick again... and itching all over.

I have to go off antihistamines on Monday, prior to allergy testing on Thurs. But .. they said I can take benadryl up to 4 hrs before the testing. It leaves the body more quickly.

AK... Yes, I take curcumin for pain. It has many benefits though! Supposed to help ward off cancer.

AK--I go to a Christian energy healer (a Brennan trained healer). She puts her hands on me (I am clothed) and energy flows where it needs to. I know it sounds bizarre, but when I first went to her I had my Lyme symptoms, but no diagnosis. I walked out and immediately herxed. It took me about 5 years to be brave enough to go back because the herx was so bad and I had no idea what it was. I credit her with the final killing of the Lyme (actually I credit God through her touch) a couple of years ago. It was not fun--she'd work on me and I would herx. I would go back a week or two later and she would work on me and I would herx. Sweating, could barely walk etc.

Yesterday she worked on my shoulder, elbow, digestive tract, and nervous system. She sees colors flowing and the colors mean different things.

Sadly I ate like garbage last night and feel toxic today--I cannot eat gluten or MSG or dairy and managed to have all three last night plus a malt beverage. I am kicking myself today. [shake]

I did walk this afternoon, but not very far. Will do another round of PT later.

Lymetoo--I never tested positive with the prick tests at the allergists for anything but I did not get the hives. So, my LLMD recommended the IgG tests. I think it is better than nothing, but not covered by insurance. I am sorry you are enduring this. I don't want you to have to avoid foods, but maybe getting a positive test on some foods would be a blessing, so you can avoid the itching etc.

Praying for all of you. Off to drink my detox tea and then slumber in my clean sheets for a short nap.
