I am trying to order household products on line and have them delivered.

I ordered from Amazon, Vitacost and Walmart this week.

The pet food came the next day as did the paper plates, paper towels, excedrin.

I assume those were from Amazon. I need to double check.

I signed up for Prime on Amazon as I noticed that delivery was in 2 days if you did that.

But, need to go back and cancel the trial thing as my mind isn't working well enough to figure things out.

It looks like it includes live stream movies but I assume their is a cost for watching a movie on the computer.

I also noticed that instead of the free shipping I could check a box were I would get things sooner for $3.00 if needed with amazon.

I also had to return one thing I ordered from them and they took care of contacting the UPS and provided a label for me.

I was credited the amt very quickly.

Price wise I think they are reasonable and compare to what I was paying to get feed for my dog at the local pet store that is closing down.

Wondering what your experiences have been as I don't trust my brain.

I have been ordering gluten free products from vistacost for some time as they are lese expenisve than Basha's.

But, delivery time varies. I get the free shipping thing. As I am typing this I could look into what it would cost to have it delivered earlier if needed.

But, I think it wasn't worth it to me to pay the extra shipping costs. Ther wasn't a $3.00 category.

It seemed it all was more.

Walmart...it worked out well on some things as I ddi not need to order teh quanity that amazon provided for a product...same with vitacost...i do not need to order in large quantities which would be nice bu tnot in the budget.

Delivery time varies with them too.

I'll let you know when I get the vitacost and walmart products.

It seems vitacost delivers quickly some times and other times not so quickly.

i did notice that they all seemed reasonable this time when I checked the est delivery dates on my emails.

With vitacost taking teh longest...i think next Friday is their est delivery time.

The other concern I have is sometimes things disappear around here when the delivery person leaves things in the hallway.

I leave my door ajar and I have put notes on my door to please put the package inside the door but the delivery person doesn't read it and leave it outside 99% of the time.

I did have one package that was delivered but disappeared.

That was from walmart. I did get credit for it but it took 2 months before the credit showed up on my bank statement. Not good.

I think I will put a note on my door asking my neighbors if they see a package outside my door to please let me know.

Along with the note to the delivery person to please put the package iside the door.

I am trying to do what I can as geting otu and getting things is becoming more difficult.

I thought it also was less expensive to get things at the local grocery stores and feed stores...but now I am wondering.

It seems like it isn't and delivery is free.

I still have to wait until the brain is working well enough to do the ordering.

And I did get confused as to what I ordered from where and wondered if I was double ordering.

But, I think with time I might be able to do the automatic ordering and know which place I can get what.

As with the local stores, i found that even on line that I got messages that they were out of stock on some things I wanted.

Don't waste your money paying to get vitacost stuff quicker. It does not work. I have done it twice and it does not arrive any quicker than the free shipping.

I think it depends on how far you are from a vitacost warehouse. I always upgrade to ups shipping and get my order in a couple of days. If I do the free shipping, it takes at least a week to get the items.

I've used amazon prime for the past couple of years. It works out great. I'm doing my taxes and order a lot of doctor-prescribed supplements from amazon.

I just called up my 2013 orders and easily made a list of the costs to do my taxes.

"If anyone has a good price for scent free laundry soap i'd like to know where/what"

I like unscented Planet Laundry soap. It looks like they sell it on Amazon. I get the 2X ultra (it's concentrated, so the bottle is smaller).

I order from Amazon and try to order things that, with an order over $25 or $35 or..., I get FREE shipping.

We old ladies love FREE and I'm too frugal to pay for Amazon Prime.

You can, also, get some supplements cheaper if you have automatic delivery of more than 4 products at a time. I had 5 separate bottles of magnesium put on automatic delivery, every 6 months, and saved a little.

I hve tried several non toxic launry soaps but have gone bck to Tide Clear and Free

I thin kif I had my own washer and dryer it owuld help to have the non toxic soaps.

But, I use the washer and dryers in the laundry room here at the apartments..they work poortly..clothes do not come out clean.

There was a rumor awhile back that we would be getting new ones..but I have yet to se that ahppen.

I think these washers and dryers are over 10 years old.....I think there are 30 units to a floor here.

Amazed they have laasted that long

I'd like to post something about how toxic laundry soap s are not good in the laundry room along with the dry er sheets and etc.

I have times when I have tow ash my clothes twice because someoen ahs put something in th e washer or dryer that has a scent tha t ends up on my clothes.

I have MCS since lyme and company.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE "soap nuts" by Green Virgin Products. NOTHING toxic AT ALL!!!

I occasionally use Purex Free and Clear. With the soap nuts you don't even need fabric softener. (thank goodness!)

A two lb bag of nuts will probably last you 3 yrs or more!

I think Vitacost offers a tremendous selection of products, good prices and very good service and the site is easy to navigate.

Amazon always confuses me. I stay away from it unless I need to order a book. I don't understand that prime thing either, so I skipped it.

Tutu..i orderd a sample of the nuts but have yet to use them.

I wonder about how effective they will be in a community washer??

I odn't even know where I put the nuts now. [Smile]

HA Must have buried them /stored them for winter.

I also go tthe bar to help with stains but only used it once as it did not help..tried again on the same spot and still couldn't get things clean.

WE are supposed to get new washers a...same washer for 10 plus years now ..don't really get clothes clean

I am hoping I have 30 days to decide if I am going to go with primr or not...

I also kind of signed up for once a month delivery on one product I ordered and then cancelled it.

That product would have taken too long to get here....

STill wtg for vitacost order that I put in on the 3rd.

I think it might be coming today. I have been using vitacost for food items....for awhile now.

And ind delivery time really varies a lot...or it seems.

Vitacost takes about 5 business days. I try to order on the weekend so I will get it by the next Thursday or Friday. Sometimes I can order on Monday and get it by Friday or Sat.

Swanson's is my current favorite because they are quicker than Vitacost and they carry the NOW brand.

Sometimes I get free shipping too!

This is good to know. I learned the hard way that most sites don't keep your things in the cart unless you have logged in.
