Scary scary day for Silver! About 1/2 hour ago (while I was out shopping) she heard screeching tires and then at least 3 shots fired! This was 3 trailers across the street and away from us. By the time I got home (about ten minutes later) there were three police cars, CSI in route.

As soon as she heard the shots she laid down on the floor, called our little guy telling him to "get down!"

Police told me that there was only one assailant. Guess we'll have to wait for the news tonight to find out what happened.

wow. scary...

we had a cop come to our door once and ask to go into the back yard he said stay inside.

they were arresting the guy behind us for some reason and he was considered a flight risk.

that stuff scares me.

we also had as drug dealer across the street and a fence down the street.

and this ain't no cheap barnyard either.

Happens everywhere. My nephew lives in a VERY nice suburb of Houston. One night (several years ago) he was gone at a bachelor's party.

My niece was home with 4 kids. During the wee hours of the morning the cops showed up because a BODY had been dumped on the other side of their privacy fence. My niece has been freaked out ever since. They are moving farther out from Houston this year.

Thankfully, they have 3 large dogs in their home. I think that helps!!

I had a drug dealer next door--nice neighborhood.

One night I got to watch the SWAT team beat down the door and arrest everyone.

Thankfully a very nice couple lives there now. And they have a German shepherd who protects their property and mine.

When I had a "peeping Tom" looking in my basement windows the dog took off after him and he barely escaped. Wish she could have taken a large bite!

Wow, that's scary. Glad you are ok.

My sister-in-law posted on FB the other night, "the SWAT team is outside our house and shots were fired."

Whaaaat?

Luckily, everyone was ok.

Bad stuff happening all over [Frown]

Hi there <<<<< LymeNet Family repliers >>>>>,

I've almost managed to actually calm down, it was all so bizarre and surreal. So far we have no more clues at to what happened.

The young family the police seemed to spend the most time with, had a young child in the home. We wonder if perhaps they are being protected, from whatever whacko pulled this shooting mess.

I just hope it doesn't happen again anywhere near us. it is strange, because there are daily reports of shootings, attempted shootings, robberies and so on. Pretty common for a big city.

Even when we still lived in Idaho -baking heat, and wildfire in the summer, icy blizzards in the winter, there were crime issues. As some of y'all may remember, in the summer of 2009, the dwelling we were moving from was fired into 6 times by a bored teen w/ a 22 rifle.

At least we weren't home when it happened, so now we add shots fired on our current street. we've had our home broken into more than once, plus our vehicle once...

...Had pets stolen, and more. These events have happened over the course of 35+ years in four different States, as well as the murder of a dear young friend.

If we seem a bit paranoid ,there might just be a reason. However, amidst it all,we've been blessed w/ God's caring protection, and some wonderful guardian angels!!!
