It's important to read the entire article. Very important to take time to - really -read it. And it may take more than one read through. It took me several times.

Even if they don't know much more right now, this is life changing for me in how I think about things --- and will help many stop judging others (well, SHOULD help that but likely those who are judgmental will always judge unless they want to learn about truth and possibilities).

Even if more science to learn, detail here is both freeing of mind and sparks motivation in how we might approach some things differently in our treatment protocols.

It's about bacteria, too, and so much more.

BBC is an amazing website. So much better than any U.S. site that I've found - in so many ways. Some of you may want to add it to the set of news links you check everyday:

http://www.bbc.com

BBC News

http://www.bbc.com/travel

BBC Travel

http://www.bbc.com/culture

BBC Culture (includes Film, Art, Music, Customs, Humanity)

http://www.npr.org/

NPR also has some very good reporting of broad world-wide interest.

Hopefully as a bacteriaphage-it infects the "bad" bacteria in our guts.

I wish they specified which bacteria it was that the CrAssphage (someone with a sense of humour named this virus, haha), infects.

While there can be some "side" benefits to certain microbes, sometimes . . .

The way I read it is that, actually, it would seem to be very bad that this virus could infect some bad bacteria that may be in our gut, helping to make some infections become chronic, evade the immune system and also our efforts.

" . . . Phages may work to control the behaviour of bacteria they infect - some make it easier for bacteria to inhabit in their environments while others allow bacteria to become more potent. . . ." (end excerpt).
