Steve, so pretty!

Pensacola Beach aka. 'The Redneck Riviera'. The sand really is that white, and the water that blue/green.

Your welcome payne – Here’s one for U…

Scenic USA - Michigan -- Fishtown

 -

The historic district of Leland, know as Fishtown, was once the fishing village on the Leland River. A collection of 140 year old fish shacks, weathered docks, smokehouses and commercial boats have been taken over by the Fishtown Preservation Society.

The society's announcement last year spoke of a plan to buy the area, and take the necessary steps to preserve this authentic property, making it available to the public.

The goal is for visitors to walk the streets and docks, examine the old structures and get a feel of century old everyday events on Lake Michigan's waterfront.

Old Fishtown is located on a sliver of land, with Lake Michigan to the west and Lake Leelanau to the east. The Leelanau Peninsula points northward, surrounded by the waters of Lake Michigan and the Traverse Bay. Besides Fishtown, the peninsula offers a few more choice locations to visit, including Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore, Traverse City and Leelanau State Parks.

OK I'll be back to post pictures of the beach later.

But, for now I am taking you all to my old stomping grounds.

So many places I'd like to share with you.

First let's pretend I am still living at my house at the beach.

So our first outing would be for a walk on the beach down to where the fresh water runs into the ocean....

We could do a loop along the golf course fence line up and down dunes to where the fresh water creek runs into the ocean and then back along the wet sand and water area...

lots of trees also that make nice places to stop and take a break.

I'll be back with another outing as I am running on empty right now.

Here is some music to go with the beach...

Starts out saying... "Gonna put the world away for a minute, pretend I don't live in it..."

Yes, Mr. Jimmy Buffett and the Zac Brown Band. You'll love it!

Steve, Steve!!!

Special request... a Florida sunset off the Keys with the pretty blue water? Got a nice picture for me? Please?

If you do, I'll go there and see it when the air turns too cold here to handle. No more winters like last year!!! I'll never make it.

I think we should all go!
