Thanks kayak! I will look into that. I am a novice when it comes to thieves oil and diffusers. I thought there was a specific thieves oil diffuser.
Another day, another thing to learn. ::sigh:: Our work is never done.

Love love love Thieve's Oil.
beaches I'm not razzle either.
I put a bit of deionized water in my diffuser and drops of Thieve's. I may over do it a bit-I put about 10 drops.
Then turn the thing on for an hour.
Love it! When I come in from being around other people's germs all day, I crank the diffuser on.

LOL, neither of you are Razzle
She posted on another thread that she diffuses the thieves oil.
I didn't want to bog that thread down so I just started another one, which is why I asked that question of her.
But of course, I'd love to hear everyone's answers/experiences/tips.
What diffuser do you use? Where did you get it?
Thanks!

I was going to reply too, but thought I should leave it to Razzle. I thought maybe you didn't want to talk to me!
Love Thieves oil too. My fav, besides Valor!
I don't have a diffuser because my hubby doesn't like the smell of oils. He has asthma and says it bothers him. If I were going to buy a diffuser, I would buy from Young Living. I know theirs are very durable.

I do that when i am out in crowds or see someone who is sick too. And also when i smell mold

I use thieves oil like "the oil of life"- bottom of my feet, gums (diluted with good water on a q tip), boo boos, diluted around my nose if I am around sickness....
But that doesn't answer your question!
My bottle of thieves says to diffuse for 10 minutes 3 times a day- so, I would guess how much thieves oil depends on how large your diffuser is?
Love the stuff...

I am just starting to use Essential Oils.
After doing some reading I decided to order from Native American Nutritionals.
I started by ordering Immune Strength (comparable to Thieves), Lavender, and Peppermint.
Here is a chart that shows comparable blends of Native American Nutritionals, Young Living and doTERRA.
I am hoping for some pain relief, a boost to my immune system and some relaxation.

Dekrator... You have to be very careful about the processing of oils. Also: Where were the plants grown? On CLEAN soils? NO GMO's EVER on that land?
Was the company in complete control of the growing, harvesting and processing of the oils?
Did they use chemicals to process the oils? VERY VERY IMPORTANT.

She even says, "To clarify, what I’m after here is the Best Essential Oils Company for the money."

I think most people are just not familiar with the companies that are not multi level marketing companies.

Dumb questions -
Why diffuse and What does diffusing do to the oils?

Susan... Breathing in the "essence" of the oils is very therapeutic. Some oils are used for "calming," some for clearing the air of odors or mold, some help with breathing, etc.

Yeah - I get that.
When the oils are diffused - does something extra special happen? The oils' properties are better enhanced/made more available?
Like if you smell a leaf - then crush it and the smell intensifies?
Ugh - and sorry - bad brain day.
Off to research EO's for the brain...

Yes to SJS. Topically, it's best to put nearly everything on the bottoms of the feet. Very little risk of skin irritation there.
Believe it or not, one of the best places on the body for absorption of oils is the feet.
The Thieves does not bother me at all. PERFUMES drive me insane, but essential oils are another ballgame.
"Hot" does not mean it will burn your skin. It may irritate it if you don't dilute it. I just mix it in the palms of my hand with avocado oil or some other oil.

I understand the hot part.
It's the fumes from the hot (like Jalapenos) oils that I am concerned about.
I'm super dry and sensitive.
I'm almost afraid to open the bottles without wearing my goggles.

I have chronic dry eyes, but have no trouble with the vapors from Thieves. Peppermint, on the other hand...that one does bother my eyes if I put the oil on my face, makes my eyes water...
