Hey gang!! What's UP?? [hi]

Sure hope your week is starting off right! Had a good day at church, but we didn't have very many kids. Lots of visitors.

Then hubby and I had salads at a restaurant. Heavenly when I don't have to cook, esp on a Sunday! [Razz]

Hoping that kam is OK. She reported that they have to stay out of the apartments for two more weeks. There is evidently a lot of water damage.

[shake]

Rosie is not eating very much, but kam got her bowls for her and is hoping that will help.

Pray for all of the displaced people!

Lymetoo, Thanks for keeping us updated on Kam. Water damage will probably lead to mold. Wish she could find a better place to live with no smoke and more handicapped accessible.

Most of the leaves I raked yesterday have been tossed in the wind today.

I did odd and ends outside-cut back the rose bushes, the clematis, and few other perennials. Dragged in the hose from the front.

I did sell my old lawn mower. Than young man who bought it is a neighbor and his wife agreed to mow if he bought a self propelled mower. She does not like the riding mower.

So, he bought mine and will fix the broken drive belt.

I did ride my exercise bike today again.

I thought I was done with parasites, but I think they are still there as I had such a rough time with the full moon. Am hitting them again with another round of meds.

Have a good week--may it not snow where you live.

I had really bad nite-not much sleep-realized i was dependent onneurontin so i am. Weaning off and only using it for emergency pain hopefully a few times a year. If i need it more than that i will have to rethink.it

I dont remember a lot of what happened ladt week and i cant live like that...but today my house looks a lot better and i dint remember how it happened

I wasnt moving much til 1-2 but i went outsude and paunted some scrap wood to use to make shekves in the shed. I also planted lilies and tulip bulbs thst had been taken out of bed by house. It has pretty stones in it now to deter critters...no vegetatuon near foundation

I also cleard out an area near a fence where the whole neughborhoids leaves end up. I have baby trees planted near tht fence-some are 4' tall in two yrs! And i have other perrenials but there was also trash and scrap wood that had to be moved cuz neighbor says he has a machine that will suck em.up and mulch em without hurting my plants

I think i have a few more days with reasonable weather...i think wemiss the big storm. So im.going to put as much time as i can into getting backyard and carport ready for winter

Theres stuff that needs to be done inside too...but plenty of bad days coming for that. Im.so slow whatever i do. Work less than an hour and have to crash for half hour then do it again. But i see the difference so its worth it

I have some used appliances i wish i could sell. They might get ruined if they have to stay out all winter. So might try to crsigslist them

I wish we would hear from ak. Not sure if wgats goingbon with kam is good or bad in the long run

Take care. Nite all

Kayak... go back and read last week's thread so you will know what you did regarding your house and your plants. [Smile]

Hope you don't have to stay on the neurontin .. maybe if you do you can lower the dosage.

Sigh .. life can get so complicated.

Oh boy. I cant walk this morning. I have bad discs in neck and lower back. When too much inflm in neck i get trigem. When inflam in lower back i cant walk

I guess the neurontin was doing way more than i thoought

I'm not staying on it though I will probably take one more ibuprofen a day for a while but I need to find supplements and herbal that will deal with the inflammationI can't stand the drugs I really can't it's not worth living if you are in a fog all the time
berberine is the first 1i guess I need to get as much bang for buck as I can let me know if you know others that are really good for inflammation

So...whos getting snow? Not me ...yet!

Kayak.. Why not take less... not stop it??

I used to take 100mg several times a day. It's better than nothing. I'm very sorry you are still in so much pain.

Kam is not posting because she is on a different computer and does not know her password.

She's pretty worn out.

Hi Guys,
Ouch LP! Sounds painful! I hope your spine de-inflames!

Thanks for the update from Kam. I didn't realize her place was flooded so bad. I hope where she is she can lay flat and rest.

Today I took the foster dog for a trail hike. It was about 6 kms and took me about an hour.

The first 20 minutes of exercise my vision and balance seem to get wobbly. I think it is increased oxygen. My body is not used to it.

The last half of the hike was by a creek and stairs had been carved out of the hillside. It was tough going but was nice because of all the old forest cedar trees.

I stood at a cedar tree and felt its ridges/bark. It was a beautiful tree.

The sun is out today and the sky is clear and bright blue.

I sweated through my shirt but it felt nice to sweat in cold fresh air.

The foster dog is laying in a patch of sun on the window seat now.

I am on my chair with a poncho and a cup of tea.

Hope you guys are doing well today.

Greta, Your trail hike sounds wonderful!

I had my students looking at human body cells under the microscope--blood, bone, nerve cells etc. All prepared slides from a company, of course. They loved it, but it wore me out.

Reraked the front yard. Wind is still blowing, but in the 60's. That will change drastically tomorrow--plummeting temperatures.

Going to try and do some time on the exercise bike now.

a trail hike sounds so nice. I dream of that in my future and I think it will happen.

I am sewing again. flea market tomorrow. getting up at 5 probably. I'd like to leave by 7 at the latest. it opens at 7 and is an hour away.

won't have to cook tons the next couple days- eating leftovers from daughter's birthday dinner.

boring, but easier to eat leftovers.

I had a nap tonight, so I am sewing more now.

Hiker-I was just looking at the leaves outside thinking it would be a nice day to do some yardwork. With Deet spray and gumboots, of course!

Raking leaves in 2012 is how I picked up the last tick that made me sick...

It is very clear here today, with a strong wind and bright sun.

Do you have nice maple trees in your yard?

Lisa-That is very exciting about the sewing you create and sell! Good for you! What do you like to make the best?

LP-It sounds like the winterizing is going good around your house. I didn't realize Etta ate paint... I hope she is OK!

This morn I spent in bed with the brain pain. The pills I take have helped but it wrecks my equilibrium. I still have to make lunches for the week and get my clothes ready for work. It's slow going.

My exercise today is
1) Getting dressed
2) Making lunches for W, Th, F
3) Sweeping the floors

Anything beyond will be too much.
Hope you guys are doing well today,
Greta

Greta, I am sewing dog bandanas at the moment. lots of them, easy, but not my favorite.

I am not sure what I like the best of making that is sewn. ..... hmmmm... I don't really sew for pleasure, so ....

my real love is making one of a kind jewelry and also remaking vintage boxes and frames, etc. into new again with paint and paper collage. funky. functional art I call it.

I am dead ffrom flea market. and this lady yelled at me at the end so that ruined the entire experience for me. [Frown]

sigh

I made about the same money every week there. not great , but just workth it to go.

I wanna be rich! ha.

I just got homme. emptied car. did half sink of dishes. now on here. next; lie down and rest.~!

Lisa...what did she yell about? Im glad you recuperated enough from bday to sew and mane a little money

Greta-somehow i missed it that you have brain pain. But listen...DEET doesnt kill them. Be careful. You must have a full house with all those cats and now a dog. I cant walk on uneven ground. That discription was a nightmare for me

When i came on i was thinking...im depressed. It doesnt happen very often. I wonder if it is part of withdrawal. It was a really beautiful start to the day...continuing to paint and organizing carport...but stuff kept happening. I think i got into a few small bees nests and it was so warm they were flying around. So i had to keep stopping. And its dark and there is stuff outside that should be undercover cuz its pribably gonna rain. And my outside lights blew...thsts really wierd. I hope critters didnt eat the wires

Its still gonna be warm tomorrow and its the day im.supposed to clean the shed so i can repack it for winter. Im just afraid i will have to dry out a bunch of stuff that gets wet tinight

Im falling asleep now. Maybe ill sleep and then wake up before the rain. Oh. Im.supposed to skype with grand daughter in an.hour. hope im.ok.

yesterday wa very strange day.

anybody else have strange day?

I had a lot of thoughts that came true throughout the day. I pictured someone I know at the flea market hitting a deer on the way and she told me she did and I didn't even ask her!

and I was going to wear a certain hat for the day but didn't and then there were 4 people wearing a very similar hat at the flea market that don't usually wear hats!

funny, but it was wierd.

other things too, but I forget right now.

I have a huge splitting migraine. I wanna burst my head an dlet the pressure out

today I clenad out part of the fridge already 'cause there was chicken blood spilled out from a package. I hate that.

I also gathered laundry to do. I hope I get stuff done wthi this headache. if I sit still it hurts tons, but if I move it hurts tons. and there is no pain killer in the house.

today I go for diagnostic mammo. and maybe ultrasound.

if there is something there I hope they find it easily.

I am in no mood to have my body squeezed

kayak, the woman - I guess she is in charge at market- she was arguing with me about everything. she was one of those talkers that never lets you say a word and talks over you after they ask you a question.

she was lecturing me about where to park, where to set up , I shouldn't be late- it opens at 7 and I live an hours drive, so I can't get there at 7 on tuesdays and she does not like that one bit.

everything I said she argued about. the only reason I didn't engage is because ealier I heard her talking to someone about how she has so much pain from herniated discs, etc. so I knew her pain must be affecting her mood and how she talks to people, right?

anyway, I am not sure I want to go back there to sell now. I was so mad and sad. I am developing good customer relations there and lots of people taking my card.

it's an upscale flea market in a very affluent area.

I really wanted to go there for black friday. it get very busy. I guess I still can, but she left a bitter taste for me there.

I really felt unwanted.

I treated myself to an ice cream cone on the way home.......

the girl that waited on me used her bare hand to pick up my cone. she handed it to me and I told lady at register that they should have paper wrapped cones.

I am a speaker-upper in case no one here noticed that yet, hahaa

anyway, the cashier turns out was the manager and the girl got in trouble since they are suposed to not touch the cones with hands. she wanted to change my cone, but I told her it wasn't neccessary since I don't eat the cone anyway.

(then I felt kinds dumb for complaining)

she gave me 2 tickets for free cones in the future. [Smile]

I told her I am sorry and didn't want to get anyone in trouble! I just hate when people use bare hands on any food

Kayak .. please slow down on not taking the neurontin. You can get into big trouble by going off too quickly.

Please? Why suffer so much?

Lisa.. Blow that lady off and go anyway. She is only one person. Do not allow her to cause you to lose the money you need!

back later...

My plan was to start skipping a day of it but i couldnt this morning. Maybe i will take a whole week of 300 in morning and then start skipping a day...

I need to know other supps that will help inflam

Im thinking of doing free yardsale this weekend...its ging to be chilly but nice. I just have soooo much stufff...and i only have room for specil stuff. I still have too much horse stuff and i broke up the farm fifteen yrs ago.

Kayak .. skipping is not as good a plan as reducing it gradually. Your body cannot handle it. I know mine couldn't when I tried to get off of trazodone. I found out very quickly that my doctor was delusional in thinking I could get off of it in a matter of weeks. That was crazy.

It took me one year to go from 150 mg to 50 mg. My body thanked me. You could probably do it in 3 months, but even that will be hard.

I wish I had a helper too!! [Smile] I think I may have finally found someone to clean our new place. Whew! Hope to hear from her soon.

momindeep--I hire a wonderful cleaning lady (not sure of the proper term these days) to come once a month. It really helps me a lot, so my hat is off to you!

Snow flurries today. Ugh! I am not ready for this weather, yet.

Very little exercise today. Just need to relax, I think tonight. Work is so busy right now.

Thanks, momindeep! So sweet of you. Wouldn't that be fun! I DID find someone today. I got her name through a lady I don't even know, but somehow I trusted her. I can read people pretty well.

Turns out that I got the name of the person who cleans our neighbor's place. I should have asked THEM!! LOL .. We are new here and I don't see neighbors very often. The ones next to us are the first ones I met.

So strange how I got the name and then to find out she cleans next door. Meant to be! [Smile]

I worked outside from 10:30-4:30. I took breaks. That was hard for me. It looks like a mess now but it really isnt. I have many cleared out areas and know what will go there: garden, tools, car stuff, elec, plumbing, propane heaters, kayak stuff, disabled/pt stuff, sons surfboard, blah blah blah.

Tomorrow should go fast. I have a huge amount to get rid of...have to pack that up beginning friday...inside...gonna get cold

Haven't heard a lot from kam today. She posted that Rosie was going to the groomer's and she had to pick her up at 4 pm. Hope she was able to do that.

She posted photos from her town that showed the inside of the apartment complex. It's not good. They have fans in all the apartments, they are boxing up tenants' belongings so they can work on the rooms.

They are tearing out the sheetrock about halfway up the walls in some rooms. I HOPE they are replacing all of the carpet.

Poor kam .. it's going to be a tough road ahead. PRAY for her and all of the others. I think there are a lot of disabled and elderly people there.

biopsy next week , then another week to wait for results, darn. waiting and me do not mix.

if she can't reach the cluster then I have to go to OR for surgical biopsy which means longer wait and more money since the OR attendants won't be covered under this charity program.

I hope there are cancelleations and I can go sooner.

I found out it is 10mm and they said that is big and that is why radiologist is concerned. and if it is benign then I stay under close watch because this type can develop into a tumor.

so I guess I will never have peace- from this or lyme. ho hum life may be getting boring but in the very wrong way I'd like it to be!

I didn't do much else today.

i am not in any mood for anything.

LisaK--I will pray for you. I had a similar situation last year. The biopsy was unclear, so I just had the whole lump removed. Not cancerous, but gave me peace of mind to get it out.

I have been blessed--4 large lumps and all removed with no cancer. Same side, too. Odd.

It is actually snowing here and sticking. Won't amount to much, but I haven't even finished raking the leaves. They are still on the trees.

Waterproofed my boots and waxed the snow shovels after work. Yes, I take wax or soap and run it down the shovel, so the snow will slide off.

Rode the exercise bike--just 15 minutes, but better than nothing.

I am glad tomorrow is Friday. Am unsteady on my legs at work and sweating out toxins, so the meds must be killing something.

Lisa.. I think Pocono had a good suggestion about the MRI. Hope you can get that done??

Kam's site for the apartments says that everyone will be back in the apts by Dec. 12!

ARRRGGH!!!!

My new cleaning lady came today to discuss cost, etc. It's right in line with what I've paid before and I'm delighted that she does about 6 other homes here in our subdivision!

She will even be taking care of my neighbor's condo when they are gone for the winter Jan-Mar... That tells me she is very trustworthy. Yippee!

She even cleans for a celebrity in town. Very cool. Looking forward to clean floors and tubs!

And was able to walk today...yesterday i never could walk without support. My slowness was more mental...cognitive. the easy to sort and repack stuff is done so what is left is hard for me. I have to get it teady to sell and advertise it and find a good place to keep it til then.

It was 39 when i wolk up and it went up to 43! Woo hoo! Thats when i got the hose out to clean out a few totes and the wheel b a rrow.

Ive been doing laundry and dishestoo...and i got some realy good news my youngest son called and said the profs just signed off on his thesis. Hes been working on it eight yrs (well he took one yr off) i wasnt sure it was going to happen. I might get to see him in december. Its been a really long time

Excellent, kayak!! On all accounts! Hope you get to see your son (and everyone else) this December!

It was in the 30's all day but it was not so bad because it was sunny. I went to exercise, got my glasses ordered and did lots of shopping.

Winter storm this weekend. Won't be bad, but sure may make a mess of things. If there is any hint of snow on Sunday morning, you will find this chick sitting at home!

No more deja vu for me!

Went hunting for a snow blower today, but did not find anything I wanted to buy. The small electric start gas powered one was the best, but every time you want to change the chute direction for which way you want the snow to be blown you have to bend over.

The larger ones have the control for the chute on the handle, but the larger ones are to heavy for me to deal with.

Thought about an rechargeable battery powered blower, but am unsure if it could do the heavier snow. Youtube shows it handling fluffy snow easily, but we get a lot of wet snows here.

Grocery shopped and came close to leaving my cart full of groceries and walking out. The young man behind the butcher counter would not cut the salmon in half for me. True, it was a fairly small piece, but I like them small to fit into my table top grill easier.

I spoke to the butcher manager, but was so mad I just skipped the salmon. I have dealt with the young man several other times and he is pretty clueless.

I am glad I did most of my shopping at another store last night, but when bad weather comes the store I went to today will be my only stop as it is just a few blocks from my house.

Saw the energy healer yesterday. She said she could always be wrong, but did not feel there were any worm parasites left to kill, so I may stop the medicine. It gives me stomach pain.

Worked on the nervous system at the energy healer, so am hoping I feel better eventually. Wish I could go every week, but she is extremely full and also it is expensive.

Tried to clean up around the house today as my brother comes next weekend. Made up the guest bed, put away some tubs etc.

Cooked a bit, too. Time to shower and get ready for prayer night at church.

That sounds like fun, Lisa! Tell us all about it!

Hiker.. These youngsters just need to learn to do what the customer says. Works for me.

Hope you can find a snow blower that will work for your needs!

Latest report on our weather is that it will snow and/or rain around noon tomorrow but it will be 38 degrees and won't freeze until 6 pm.

I cleaned the outside of my stove, washed dishes and talked with my dil for 3 hrs on the phone. She teaches in a very hard district...much like where i taught. But its a different time. I understood a lot of what she is going thru but cant believe the school doesnt relly have a lock down plan. After all that has happened in the world

I thought every school had a lock down plan?

they better get one. my #2 kid's performing arts school ....... the first year she was there I looked up their info on line and saw they had their safety plan ON LINE!!! I was so mad. how dumb can you be?

it stated that at lunch time the back door would be open!

I called and wrote the school (this is a high school) and the person in charge of security calle d me and said that I needn't worry since there would be a teacher at the back door at all times when it was unlocked.

hmmmmm...... so I said the maybe they shouldn't blast that all over for the world to know how the door is unlocked, and I also asked if that teacher standing there was trained to thwart would be terrorists or gunpersons. they said no of course.

Grrrrr....

so I can' t sleep because if I jsut lay there I think about this procedure I have to get wed for my biopsy.

I forget if I mentioned it, but it is steriotactic which means I lay face down up in the air while they continually xray my breast so they can see the tiny clump to biopsy while they work beneath me.

that is the only way the dr can see it- by xray. [Frown]

then, it is so deep in the tissue she may not be able to get at it. it is right next to chest wall.

then, like I do, I read about the pros and cons on line and at the bottom it says if it's near the chest there is a chance of the needle puncturing the the chest causing air to get in which would cause a collapsed lung.

so now , that is all I can think about since dr said she will have a bugger of a time trying to "dig" in there to get to it!

and if she can't I get surgery later.

maybe I will start a new thread/ but maybe not. maybe I don't wanna know anyone that's had a botched one of these done.

if you all could just think of me and say a little prayer it goes well and that dr finds it.

I am using my nervous energy to tidy up and sew too right now.

my irregular heart beats are back- I guess it's stress

OH, I didn't go to the movie lymetoo.

I got such bad woozy feeling that I couldn' t have watched a movie on big screen with all that motion.

I felt like I had 6 shots of whiskey all day- spin spin. not fun.

I was sorry to miss it.
