I've been thinking about them and praying for them. They've really been on my mind.

Sure hope they are OK.

I've been worried about her for a very long time. I'm struggling terribly myself, so haven't followed up on her.

Her situation has been really serious for so long now.

I just got a VM from her. I need to call her back this weekend. I was reassured to hear her voice sounding like her still (if you know what I mean). She has been through more than anyone should have to bear (as have many here).

I have been thinking about her as well. I took a long break from the boards over the summer so am wondering about lots of people.

Thank you all for thinking of me!

Things have been rough lately. Time has gone by fast. I mean to stop by more often but then I'm too sick or worn out at the end of the day to get on the computer and put together a thought. I miss seeing you all and being a part of your lives.

My mom is has gotten better over the past several weeks after her last surgery. She still can't lift over 10 pounds so I have to help out with grocery shopping and lots of other tasks around the house. It's amazing how little 10lbs really is!

This has been hard for me as I'm not used to lifting much as I'm not really supposed to lift anything over 5lbs as my osteoporosis is so severe that I can cause more spontaneous fractures in my back. But right now we are just trying to cope with the situation that we've been dealt with.

We are both getting ready now to go to NY to see my LLMD next week for a much needed follow up. After much discussion, we believe that Babesia is causing much of my current lingering symptoms. It is really holding me back from making the progress that I need. Lyme and Bartonella (and the other intracellulars) seem to be held in check with my abx right now.

So hopefully the doctor will be able to think of something to help me move along and recover. Babesia is a beast!

When I get back home, I'll be facing some more GI testing. I had abnormally high amylase, lipase, and sed rate on follow- up. And still have abdominal pain that radiates to my back. The doc wants to look at my gallbladder and pancrease with an EUS. YIKES, I'm sick of tests.

Also very soon when I get back, my sister is due to have a new baby! My Nephew Caleb is due in early Oct [Smile]

I can hardly believe that my sweet niece just turned 2 on Sept 29! Feels like I was just there watching here being born... Crazy! I love her so much [Smile]

Dear friends, thank you for thinking of me and my mom and praying for us. I greatly appreciate it more than you could ever know.

You encourage my heart, lift me up, and make me feel better. Thank you sooo... much!!!

I'll be thinking of you all and praying for you all too,

Hugs,
sammy

So happy you were able to give us an update, Sammy!! I'm sorry your struggles are still so rough, but hopeful that answers are around the corner! Just keep LOOKING around that corner! [Smile]

So exciting to have a little nephew on the way!! I hope you get to see the kids now and then. My family is all in Texas and it's hard to only see them twice a year .. and some I see even less often. I have 4 great nieces and nephews I've never seen (in person) and they are all the way up to 4 yrs old. Sigh.

I will keep praying for you and your mom and hope you get a handle on all of your health issues very soon.

[group hug]
