Dear friends, it's been so long since I've given you an update I thought maybe I should start a new thread for it? I don't know what is best...

Right now my health is so poor, I cannot cope with anything else. It impacts every area of my life. I'm even struggling with activities of daily living. It's really humbling and difficult to have your life so far out of your hands... to desperately need help to get well.

As if I don't have enough stress of being very sick right now... we (mom and I) are moving now! The actual move date has not been finalized yet, it will be around the 1st of Jan. I just can't handle this! But it is happening, Yikes!!!

We are not moving far, but we have to move. I think that once it is all done and we get settled in after a few months it will be worth the effort. It's very hard for us to leave this place because we have so many memories. But a new place will be healing for both of us. We need a new start.

One of the things that really gives me happiness in my life is my family. In Oct. my sister had her baby, a healthy beautiful boy. He weighed 11# 2oz at birth! Now I have a wonderful little niece and a precious baby nephew! I love my family so much. I need to get better so that I can spend some more time with them.

Thank God, my mom is doing better right now. She still needs to get blood work and CT scans every 3 months to make sure that the cancer has not returned. Unfortunately, her insurance co is not wanting to cover her scans any more... So if you will, please join with us in prayer to help get mom's much needed tests covered and pray that she stays in remission.

If you will also think or pray for me and my health, that God will bless me and give me the energy, strength, endurance, and all the improvements that I need to get through these next couple months.

That you will also think of my mom and I as we get ready to move. We are not ready at all... That God will send us people to help when the time comes to get everything moved safely from one place to the other. That He will just work everything out with everything involved with that situation.

Thank you friends for remembering me. I think of you often. I'll try to pop in and say "hi" more often as my health allows as I do try to stop in and read fairly regularly.

*Hugs* and love,
your friend sammy [Smile]

Sammy! So, so, thankful for the thoughtful update. Your health sounds fragile...sorry your struggles continue.

Prayers and thoughts of you and your mom have been numerous...you did well in giving us specifics to pray for...and I will talk to the Lord on your behalf.

All things are possible with the Lord...so glad for the positives in your life!...we have missed you Sammy!

Hey there, Sammy!! Very good to hear from you!! Been praying for you two!!

Glad to hear that your mom is better... sure hope your health improves eventually! We'll keep praying for that!

--and yes, you did a great job of being specific with the prayer requests. That helps!! [Smile]

Sure hope the move will be good for you two. My husband and I moved in June and so far it's been great!

That's so exciting that you have new babies in the family. They are such a joy!

Take care and don't be a stranger, OK?

[group hug]

sammy, I am SO glad to see your post! We have been posting on the other thread hoping you would see it. I, and many others, have been very worried about you.

Congrats on the babies!

I am sorry you are feeling bad. It is stressful enough to move when you are healthy. It is a lot of work even if you are not moving far away. You need to space things out and delegate the work to others. I hope your family can help.

I am glad your mom is doing well. I pray that her insurance covers the tests that she needs. I pray for you to feel better and stronger and that your move goes smoothly (with a lot of help!).
