I found a lyme vac. while looking through a vetranary catalog.
It is made by Zoetis formerly Pfizer.
Tempting isn't it?

I would rather wade chest deep through a sewer full of crocs and piranhas that take a lyme vaccine.
Already have at least one strain,...don't feel the need for another one. The Bacteria Inn is all full up. No vacancy.

- "Never" is a very important word - and rule for such a matter. It's not Fairy Dust as they might like to have us think - and we're not in Kansas, anymore. We have to keep our eyes open to more than the fancy song & dance routines.
That said, for people, the past lyme vaccine was a disaster for many and the new one soon to come out, have major doubts.
But, for animals, I don't know. But a true LL vet should be consulted as to what to do for prevention. Just not sure how animals might do with a vaccine.
Dogs sure seem to do better with a simple treatment cycle that is not nearly good enough for humans. But then, do they really? Too much illness and arthritis in dogs, I know. -
