OK. Escaping from this bed and creating a magical make belive Christams.
I have a cabin in the mtns. My grandkids and my daughter and son in law are visiting.
I have horses for them to ride.
The older one is taking the car out on the dirt forest roads to learn to drive.
There is a fire place. A decorated live tree. Prestents under the tree.
We all go to help others out too in some way.
There is a creek running near the cabin.
I have a hammock hanging in the yard.
Fod. Lots of good food.
OK. That is my make believe magical Christmas.
How about you??

Definitely a fire in a stone fire place.
The creek has a waterfall at the top.
A toast of champagne before dinner with shrimp and nuts.
Prime rib with double baked potatoes, green bean casserole, and pecan pie for dinner. Glass of merlot with dinner.
After dinner liqueur. Family and friends (but not too many people) all get along.
Merry Magical Christmas.

Cabin at the end of a dirt road that is hidden from view...you don't know it is there. My beautiful horses always come and investigate when someone comes down the drive...and you can see their breath when they whinny.
The view from the picture window to the north is blue snow covered mountains because it is dusk...and to the west, a valley as far as the eye can see. You can see the river snaking through the landscape...but barely.
Oh...yup...a fireplace made out of fieldstone and it takes up one whole wall...and popcorn is popping in an antique popcorn maker over the fire.
The carpets are as soft as down and no noise is made when you walk...with the best smelling candles you've ever smelled burning throughout the cabin.
The last rays of muted sunshine pick out the million glitters on the fresh fallen snow...
Soft laughter is heard from people who are comfortable with each other and they are reminising of Christmases past and my mom and dad are telling stories.
We are having rainbow trout for dinner and scallops with drawn butter...the best gluten free bread ever and to die for creme brule.

lots of happy relatives all get along in our gigantic , well furnished home.
we can't stop smiling as we take around fine drinks and food on small trays while a nice big group of people are singing carols at the grande piano in the large living room.
in the library there is a large fireplace burning a lovely fire and no one is in there , but the room is always welcome for people looking to get away from the crowd.
we play fun games with words like olden times and there is a huge buffet table with tons of food in tree shapes and founts and all that. and none of the food will be wasted as if it's not eaten it will be used over the next week in leftovers or given to guests as they leave.
but no one will want to leave and some will actually spend the week well past New Years day!
and we will never run out of hot water from too many showers.
and by a miracle it is announced on the news that all ticks have died and they found a cure and antidote for all tick disease , so we rejoice in loud happy cries and all go home satisfied January 2nd.
and then the maid and her crew clean everything all up by dinner time , and me and my family watch a nice movie, read together and tuck each other into bed and have the sweetest dreams imaginable.
